  1. Active LD10 should fly to current waypoint unless you have something designated with radar/targeting pod/whatever
  2. @DisplayName They aren't different aircrafts, some J8II units were sent to US as test beds to fit into them US avionics. The "only" difference is electronic equipment
  3. @DisplayName B) center of gravity and difference in weight aside it should fly exactly like J8II because it is J8II, just with modified cockpit, replaced radar and some other electronic equipment like navigation or weapon control system D) the difference between J8II and F20 is that there are lots of people who have experience flying J8 and can describe its flight characteristics and quirks (with different avionics but still), while there were very few people who flew Tigershark I'm pretty sure PP was never finished, for instance I don't think it was supposed to end up with SPO-10esque RWR which begs the question what else is missing. But unlike for instance Ka-50 or F20 it's not just a prototype, it's a unicorn variant of real aircraft that actually was in service (and even managed to "Fox 4" American reconnaissance aircraft). Later J8 variants are basically what PP was supposed to be, just using avionics sourced from different country
  4. @flavnet Either set release angle to 0 or ignore the first cue, after first cue you get second countdown, you press and hold pickle button and keep flight path vector on azimuth steering line. The only caveat is you need to be very precise otherwise bomb won't drop which I'm pretty sure is a bug
  5. @Kaktus Keep in mind that it really was a different time when ED was originally collecting data to make Ka-50
  6. I understood your post as complaint about excessive loading times, while not exactly lightning fast they're perfectly acceptable on my PC so I offered a possible solution based on my experience
  7. Nothing, they're acceptable even if your PC isn't very powerful. Have you tried turning down preload radius? You don't need much if you have DCS installed on SSD
  8. I would imagine IRL weapon is smart enough to counter wind, especially since it already has INS
  9. Currently changing laser code for a bomb (PWII or PWIII) requires completely shutting down aircraft, could you guys change it so it can be altered as long as aircraft is on the ground on a friendly airfield? It's annoying having to restart everything from scratch whenever you forget to change your code, it's possible IRL and other modules like Harrier or Jeff give us that option
  10. Keep in mind that bomb laser code is separate from anything you set up in the aircraft and you can't change it mid flight
  11. @SilentSparrow J8PP is more interesting than Super Hornet because it is the first domestic Chinese fighter in game, even if it has American instead of Israeli domestic avionics, and technologically it's somewhere between Mig-23 and Mirage 2000. Su-34 isn't happening ever, but if it did it would be pretty cool because it's basically Strike Flanker. Both are much more interesting than slightly different Hornet that doesn't bring anything new to the game. How can people demand Super Hornet when we already have late legacy one and we still don't have naval Phantom
  12. DCS on consoles? No way, for many reasons. Now VTOL VR on the other hand, I feel like it would be perfect for PSVR2
  13. You have to set correct target size, otherwise missile will outright ignore the ship. Check out that PDF, it lists most ships in game and correct target sizesship rcs and 802ak target size setting.pdf It's not mine, I downloaded it from this forum
  14. Did you set correct target size?
  15. Try lasing before engaging LMC
  16. You can also remove/comment out that line and make skin available regardless of country
  17. Aircraft can report its own position if it's connected to the network, or lacking that can be detected by one of the donors like EWR, AWACS, another fighter. Latter is obviously less reliable
  18. @SharpeXB Just let community members donate however much they see fit, until then require clients to have license. Of course a lot depends on how much would a server side license have to cost so ED doesn't lose money, but assuming 1000$ for a license it's 50 people donating 20$ each, not completely outlandish. They stated many times that most users don't dip their toes in MP so I don't know how big of a deal it would even be for them. Once you have a license it's much easier to get people to take part in events and stuff, especially if you want to use a map that isn't Caucasus/Marianas or Syria, I think it would help boost sales of less popular maps like SA
  19. Instead of subscriptions I would rather see optional server-side licenses for maps, maybe asset packs. If the server has a license everybody can join, if not then nothing changes. Current model when it comes to aircraft modules is completely fine in my opinion
  20. 1) Did you give them time to align? 2) Is the steerpoint altitude correct? By default waypoints in DCS are high above the ground
  21. From what I understand it just warns you about icing conditions
  22. @TheRussianBias I haven't had any problems with laser burning out in the Jeff for a long time now, unless I want to designate for somebody else I keep it in AUTO and it just works
  23. @dueydrew Fix will be included in next big patch
  24. @NineLine While you're here, perhaps you could pitch to the team idea of optional server-side licenses for maps? It would greatly help incorporate new maps as they come out, since it's easier for a community to raise the 500$, 1000$ or whatever would a fair price be than to expect everybody to buy a map, especially newcomers. In the current model it is difficult to organize anything involving new maps, be it current South Atlantic, Sinai that's "two weeks out" or others like Kola Peninsula which is a damn shame considering the amount of work that creating a map requires. I think it would also help boost individual sales just like trial. Perhaps server side licenses could be an acceptable compromise for the asset packs as well
  25. @SharpeXB Except you're proposing not one addon but many. And considering how some systems were used over the decades it wouldn't be unreasonable for one mission to require multiple of those asset packs, take for instance Yom Kippur where tons of WW2 stuff was used along with more modern systems. And it doesn't matter if an asset pack is 5$, 15$ or 50$, what matters is it requires additional purchase and without it people aren't able to join. But then again you're clearly smarter than all those analysts working for multi-billion dollar corporations
