  1. Wait for jully for a cheap AMD 5ghz cpu and motherboard combo. You will still be able to buy a decent graphics card too. I just built 1600+RTX 2060 upgrade for my cousin for 600 euro.
  2. Those benchmarks mostly use founder edition 1080Ti's. For the 20 series they binned the founders higher so they are the overclocked ones. This is all down to clever marketing by NVIDIA.
  3. The contract has more rafales as option, this is normal in all military sales. I wouldn't be surprise if the Indians activate that options, they often do.
  4. Rafale is mightily more capable than the jag and the 27 in the AG arena.
  5. The tejas is the only aircraft India can employ without any restrictions due to being indigenous...well except the engine. If anything they need to retire some of those aircraft in that list.
  6. Dune, BTW there will be a new one in 2020.
  7. "Get to the chopaaa" :D
  8. check this site to search for SAMSUNG B die memories: https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/ The number of kits listed there exceeds those in the qualified vendor list for a given Motherboard but it is generally accepted that these memories will give you the best chance of compatibility (and performance).
  9. the new Ryzen CPU?s will have same TDP except the 16 core black editions. So unless your going for the latter you should worry too much.
  10. Asrock Taichi, Gigabyte gaming 7, Asus Crosshair VII

  12. its a sidegrade between the 2. Better wait for the next gen.
  13. perhaps the best Radeon VII review so far: 7j2PFKkYrVg
  14. I was reading on a mobile dooh! Mixed the X for a K.
  15. that would be enough for sure but pay attention to the RAM issue we mentioned above. You might need to buy new sticks as well.
  16. is your current RAM DDR4 dual channel? If not you might need to replace that as well regardless if you go AMD or Intel.
  17. I was comenting Rudel's post about the 2600K. 9600K is faster right now but it might not matter with Vulkan and at savings on top (6 physical threads VS 12 logical ones). IMHO choosing a CPU for the next 4-5 years based on the current game engine state knowing Vulkan is coming is a mistake, though I respect your opinion. This is not a straightforward choice.
  18. ... not to mention you got more threads to fool around when Vulkan comes. Buying for single thread perf right now is a huge mistake taking in consideration that r5's will already play nice as is , and at considerable savings.
  19. the 2600 would achieve the same perf as my 1700X. And thats 170$ with the boards going for another 60$. benchmark results vary from game to game, so you cannot gauge the CPU potential in DCS by using a particular synthetic benchmark as an isolated example. You have to test it in-game. Fortunately I did: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185226&page=11
  20. Edited last post, I have a thread about this You cannot compare clocks on totally different cpu architecture. Mine went to 3.8 GHz but not that it matters anyway.
  21. Where did you pull those figures from? I made the switch from a 2500k to an R7 1700x and it was faster with the same gtx970, 4.5ghz vs 3.8 GHz. About 14% faster. Also AMD is cheaper so you can invest on a better gpu. So the benifit is two fold. When I replaced the gfx to a 1080ti I got another 68% increase, bear that in mind.
  22. If you can wait until June, you can get one of the new Ryzen 3000 series cpu that will be on par with Intel on single core but have more of them and for cheaper. The choice will be a no Brainerd then.
  23. heh, did as you guys said, a 2nd time using DDU with windows safe mode and this time around looks a success. I was lazy last time and used NVIDIAS "clean installation" option only. :D
  24. These drivers are a no-go for me. Couldn't select my monitors native refresh rate and text looked funny. Rolled back and everything came to normal again.
  25. great card, but needs mature drivers to really show its stuff. Its meant for 1440P or 4K. In 4K arena looks great against a 2080 and a cheaper (but less powerful) alternative to 2080Ti thanks to that impressive 16Gb HBM2 memory. Stay away from it at 1080P. There are cheaper alternatives with more consistent performance. EDIT: wait for partner cards. Less noise and better drivers by then.
