What has worked for me is to ask Jester to use TCS, then ask him to use the pod again.

Anyone knows of a software that dampens raw joystick output?
diego999 replied to primus_TR's topic in Input Devices
Joystick Gremlin. I use it to average out some jitter I have on my X52 throttle. Works very well. Disclaimer: I don't have a clue about how it works. I just followed a step by step tutorial on youtube once, almost a year ago. -
Advice to renew PC build for VR
diego999 replied to Derfel75's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
What this guy says. Throwing new hardware at the game won't solve the poor performance (specially in VR) for now. Let's wait for further MT development and Vulkan. -
Quest Pro vs G2 Impressions - 4090/7950x3D

Here's a visual representation of what these numbers do (not exact, I just drew some rectangles with Paint) -
Quest Pro vs G2 Impressions - 4090/7950x3D

Description is wrong. It totally affects VR. Try setting both values to 0.50 and you'll feel like you're looking through a shoe box 0.0 is default afaik. With 0.85 you're rendering 85% of vertical/horizontal resolution (I don't know which is which, I set both numbers to the same value). Set "visual hud" option in OTT to "pixel density", so you can see how resolution changes as you modify the values. Remember you cannot edit those numbers "on the fly". You need to set them before connecting the headset through link/airlink. -
Makes sense, but I agree it should be stated somewhere.

Quest Pro vs G2 Impressions - 4090/7950x3D

You can set it on the Oculus Tray Tool. One is for the horizontal and the other one for the vertical if I'm not mistaken. -
With these settings I get smooth fps with decent visual quality. Your PC is significantly better than mine (i5 10400, 3060ti, 64GB RAM) so start with these and work your way up. In my experience, don't touch bitrates and similar options. Leave it at default.

Update: today expired my MB.339 trial, so I tested it again: I can now access the modules. The bug is definitely related to trial modules as @JayJ said.
-
Same here. I have it still on trial but not installed anymore, so maybe something related to the server authorization for trial modules? Strange indeed. I think this is what I'm gonna do. Thanks.

I think we're not understanding each other. I can't play for three days. If I lose internet all modules are disabled. That's what I'm showing in the images. Running DCS standalone. I don't use Steam. I'm being told about the three days but it doesn't work for me. Can you test it? Unplug your modem and open DCS. That's what I did to take the screenshots. No internet = no modules.
-
So what I understand is that I have to be in offline mode permanently, because if I lose connection in online mode all modules are disabled. My internet connection is unstable. I can't play multiplayer and that's ok, but I'd like to use in single player all the stuff I paid for. Then this: is not correct at the moment.
-
This is what I get when I lose internet connection: Is there an option I have to configure to be able to play with my modules when the internet goes out?
-
And a price way above its worth.

That could be caused by motion reprojection / motion smoothing / ASW, or whatever is called in your headset, if you have the option activated.

fixed Different illumination levels in right and left eye
diego999 replied to Ruda_Malpa's topic in VR Bugs
+1. This is still not fixed in the lastest open beta. -
No problem. Glad you sorted it out.
-
That's the "regular" DCS, not the multithread one. Are you running the latest version (2.8.5.40170)? Standalone or Steam version?
-
This is for standalone DCS. If you use Steam version I'm afraid I can't help you, but normally DCS folder should be in STEAM\steamapps\common. Replace "Archivos de Programa" with "Program Files" or whatever it's called in your language.

Tested several aircraft and missions in all the maps I have. No noticeable difference.
-
Can you do a benchmark? This is very interesting but something more than "game feels better" would be nice. Will test tonight.

Been using VR Wave for almost a year. No complaints.

Clear all the way.
