Is the power draw really that high? I have mine plugged into a totally generic front USB connector and the Quest 3 battery loses 10-15% (at most) after a couple of hours of use. I tried wireless but could never get the same visual quality as the link cable, and I'm sitting right next to the router. It's good enough for most situations, but I notice it on the details (the tiny numbers on the Mirage F1's HUD are unreadable for me in wireless for example) even with Virtual Desktop.

While certainly the upgrade to 64GB will help, most likely it isn't the cause of your issues. VR performance has degraded for most of us in the last months. I went from 32 to 64, and it did make things a little better, but nothing groundbreaking. I play SP only, so if you play MP with heavy scenarios, the upgrade might make a bigger difference.

I have the feeling they reacted to the Razbam drama by overpromising a lot of stuff, like saying "we're here, all is good, check all these coming things". And now reality has catched up. Nothing wrong with a delay to improve things, but failing deadlines over and over again makes you look like a bunch of amateurs.

You're not crazy. These skins come with a campaign, not with the F-14 module. I think it's "Rise of the Persian Lion" for the Hornet. Strangely, only the F-14B have them.

Try these: These settings should allow you to read the HUD and instrument panels no problem, I did it with a Quest 2 and a 3060ti. Your card is way better than mine, so you should probably be able to use MSAA 2x or 4x instead of DLSS without killing your fps. In the Meta desktop app, once you connect the headset you can access resolution and refresh config (click on 'Devices' on the right side). Set the res at max (1.3, slider all the way to the right) and refresh rate at 72Hz. And lastly, make sure you're using the right IPD setting on the headset. An incorrect one will make everything a blurry mess.

Try setting ROE to "weapon hold" in waypoint advanced options.

Maybe you are in Cage AA mode? It will override anything else you have selected.

DCS seems to be triggering false positives on several AVs recently, mostly with Razbam modules. I just excluded the entire game folder from the AV scan. This has the additional advantage of noticeable shorter game load. PUA stands for 'potentially unwanted application'. Windows Defender thinks there might be something suspicious but it isn't sure. Other people will tell you that is unacceptable for several valid reasons. I've been doing this for several months. No one died, nothing exploded. Pick your poison I guess?

Yeah, that's been my experience as well. Seems to have a good seeker that can find targets well. But the main weakness is the range. Unless you're very close to the enemy, in a pursuit it won't catch him. All Sidewinder versions are pretty primitive. The JULI is the better one but as far as I know, it was only used by Spain, so forget about it in historical scenarios. Magic 1 is almost a dead weight. Magic 2 is way better than any of the other IR missiles, I think it's comparable to an AIM-9L or M. This is all from my own limited experience, I'm no expert or anything.

I guess so. The 530 IR is supposed to be able to lock on from behind and from the sides, but the range is extremely limited. If you're not doing a historical representation, I think the best combo is S530 + Magic 2. You made me curious about the IR version. I'm gonna test it tonight and see how it goes

S stands for Super, it's an improved version of the R530. The IR version is not the same as the Sidewinder, it's way bigger and heavier. Some people claim the game version performs unreallistically well. I can't comment on that as I don't use that missile. Another important difference is you can't carry those in the wingtips like Sidewinders and Magics.

Hola Ricardo, soy Diego de Santa Fe, Argentina. Como bien te dice Eduardo, esa es una mini PC diseñada para trabajos de oficina. No tiene espacio físico para instalar una tarjeta gráfica dedicada, que en general son bastante grandes en cuanto a tamaño. Me sumo a las recomendaciones y te comento mi caso personal. El año pasado estaba buscando una tarjeta gráfica nueva para comenzar a jugar en VR. Averiguando precios descubrí un lugar que vendía de segunda mano, ex mineras, con garantía de un año. Con lo que costaba una Nvidia 3060ti nueva, pude comprar dos usadas y me sobró para comprar más memoria RAM, (haciendo la aclaración de que mi país es terrible en todo lo relacionado con compras de productos de tecnología). Un año y medio después ambas siguen funcionando perfectamente (las intercambio cada dos o tres meses). Seguramente en Europa puedas conseguir a buen precio, pero claro, es una apuesta que conlleva cierta incertidumbre. Saludos

Maybe add a checkbox in the special options? With a disclaimer the feature isn't realistic? So we can activate it and enjoy carrier operations. If you don't want it don't use it, mission makers and servers admins could force it off. Everybody wins.

Oh I would love to fly the Voodoo, but I think it would be kinda difficult to sell.

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain myself correctly. Alignment is still required but that option in the ME allows you to do the stored alignment which takes about a minute and a half.
