See if you can find an archive of Overscan's guide to Russian Radar (or something like that). He has a lot of data on the actual operational limitations of the MiG-29S radar. Be careful what you wish for...

You're right, the p doesn't stand for precession, but p-factor still doesn't happen with a stopped prop:
-
It can’t be “supposed to be” p-factor from stopped blades - stopped blades don’t precess. It could be precession doesn’t get turned off. Does it yaw one way if you pull the stick back and the opposite way if you push it forward ?
-
There should be some initial movement - there was a torque, then it’s gone, and after that the aircraft should be out of trim, but after that - in the absence of pilot induced oscillations - it should damp out... Are your controls steady ?

Case I: How to respond to pitch up from flaps?
Weta43 replied to San Patricio's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
True, but only 4 years till we have something with a combat radius of 2,200 km + 4 hours on station & that is capable of delivering AGM-84H/K SLAM-ER, AGM-84 Harpoon, Mark 54 torpedo, missiles, mines, torpedoes, & assorted bombs... That'll cover some ocean.. -

Are you writing comedy in all your post ? (Weirdly off topic comedy to boot..) Perhaps parodying 15th century Javan attitudes ? Back to the topic... Personally, it seems to me that from videos IRL some pilots’ techniques involve stick and throttle movements to control the nose that wouldn’t be out of place in DCS as I end up flying it, & as long as you preemptively trim for AoA & use the stick, the plane is relatively easy to keep under control.. -

LOL, No, it's an indication that some 'Well balanced‘, ‘good prospects’, ‘highly motivated’, ‘high achieving‘, ‘determined’, ‘driven’ people, that still have a very promising career in the forces ahead of them, and that the Navy still sees as valuable recruits that they want to retain, have a different - on the whole probably more balanced - view of what constitutes a life well lived than some other people... -
Or if you're feeling lazy, with the HMS on look at some point / something, designate, and the helicopter will fly you there - then look to the next place you want to go to...

See this video for an explanation / demonstration... Y2gTSjoEExc?t=8m13s edit - damn tag has 8m13s written in it :-/ Jump to 8m 13s to see what I meant to start at

Or Oboe blind bombing system (?) installed from 1942 in Mosquitos...

I've been using it for a long time - Pretty sure Neutral aircraft will follow waypoints for me, but I think they like neutral airports to land at... Would be great if E.D. moved this into the OB/release officially....

Syrian and Afghan theatre of operations confirmed!
Weta43 replied to WHOGX5's topic in Bugs and Problems
:) Smoke less, read more ? No teleporter* needed, just regional influence... Iraq have already said yes & Saudi Arabia is in a whole different part of the world: map from theguardian.com Background info: That's why the US military are in that part of the world (to contain Iran), and why they're so freaked out about Trump's plans to withdraw - Syria reclaims the territory and Iran gets its land corridor for exports and imports (including perhaps supplies to those countries South of Damascus). *You mean teleporter technology ? Pretty sure they really do have transporter technology. Trucks, trains, cars, all sorts of transporters... -
I agree - how can you possibly call it a Combat Flight Simulator if there are no ejection rails ?

Syrian and Afghan theatre of operations confirmed!
Weta43 replied to WHOGX5's topic in Bugs and Problems
That Syrian map - You've got Russia, Turkey and the US already lined up and running the risk of starting a war (who knows which way Turkey will go...), the US have asked the Saudis to step in as their proxies & Iran wouldn't mind a land corridor through Syria. -
Depends how hard you try - I've never broken a wire, but I did bend the gear landing hard and heavy after catching the wire on one of my first attempts landing on the carrier (flying TVV into the elbow, pre flying the ball)… So - maybe the margin of safety is higher than you expect, but there are consequences modelled for landing too heavy W/ too high a sink rate...

So we should use our imagination to put together imaginary conflicts over the Suez, but it’s too big a stretch to imagine a conflict in an area where the likely opponents are already facing off on the ground, and that has a good selection of antagonistic proxies for the super powers spread across it ? Strange.. -
Or someone who thought they would like to do another module someday and want to keep ED on side... Seriously though, if the contract is written in such a way that the vendor can still sell the right to the code to another party, there’s no downside to a clause that only kicks in if they go bust, so why would they damage their relationship with E.D. by refusing to sign such a clause ?
-
Only if you try drive it like a stock-car racer. I've only ever had it do that when deliberately adding crazy rates of turn at speed to see if I could make it happen after someone (you ?) posted it as a bug. (& that's on the ground or on the carrier since the carrier deck slip was fixed)

Not in the options (gear) Misc. page in that group with 'controls indicator' ? That's how I got rid of them.

In the options settings

The reticle for the left weapon is offset to the left, and the right to the right. They're fired alternately. If you align with the left reticle (by turning slightly right) and launch, the right reticle will come up, and as you're currently facing slightly right (to align with the left reticle) it will appear further to the right than the first one did to the left, but actually it's the same amount off center from the centerline of the aircraft, just the helicopter isn't pointing straight at the target any more.

DCS: F-16CM Block 50 by EDSA Discussion Thread
Weta43 replied to NineLine's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Much of the current system development for the F/A-18C is creating a prototype implementation of those systems in DCS. Once the prototype system has been created, further implementations are easier and quicker to develop. -
a new and exciting World War II map in development

If you exclude coastline, you exclude the Western Front from 1940 to 1945.
