Yeah...Saw that note too. I'm an idiot. Go me. Guess I'll keep it in RWS until I get a target and swap over to TWS. Thanks. -
In TWS mode and after engaging a target, I can't get the radar to change the azimuth. It will stay locked on 20*. I've tried the RESET button, going RWS and back. Nada. Stays on 20*. Also, how the hell do I switch radar contacts after launching an AIM-120?

cannot repoduce and missing track file moving target - which tool ?

Pretty sure you need to have the MAV display up and have to use its internal seeker. I don't think you can use the TPOD unless it's a laser guided maverick. -
I don't program a release point, I run them in direct so I can drop at any point. By programmed I mean, under ARMT, then AG, I set up program 1 or 2 for the pylons I want, in this case, 2, 8, and whatever the centerline is. Always direct, STEP and N/T.

Found this bug this evening. Had a hard landing and had to repair. Once I repaired, I reloaded with some AGM-154A's for some long range boom boom. Noticed that I could transfer from my TGP or from a SEQ PT/ aka target point. I also couldn't step between stations. Noticed my load out was way wrong. However, my weapons are correct in my A/G PACS page. I attached a screenshot of it...Any insight to this bug?
-
I've noticed that if I have some smart weapons loaded on centerline as well as the 2 wing pylons, have the program setup for all 3 of the weapons, I can't step through all three of them under the smart weapons page. I can only step through the 2 under the wings. Once those are dropped, not programmed, but dropped, then I can step to my centerline weapon.

Can be...Do you want to, probably not. The HOTAS is beyond useful for all the functions of the aircraft.

I haven't done any digging yet, but does the game have the KY-58 beep by chance? The whole "police scanner" sound just doesn't cut it for me. I know what a KY-58 sounds like, having heard one for years deployed in the sandbox, and I'm just not feeling the police scanner.

Never mind! I figured it out! Can use a target point from the NAV as a target point for a smart weapon.

I know you can set a Target Point in the NAV and it'll be a waypoint. Is there no way to input that Target Point into the weapon or does it all have to be done in the mission editor way prior to mission start and inputted via CC MEM on the smart weapon page? Basically, is there no way to do a preplan on the smart weapons in the cockpit, or is it all TOO or done during the mission editor?

I heard there was a highway to it...I might be wrong though. Setup your PROG 1 for all the stations you want. Find your target using the TPOD. TDC DEPRESS. XFR TPOD to your 1st bomb. NXT STA. XFR TPOD. etc, etc, etc, until all the weapons you want are programmed. Once IN ZONE just keep pressing your WPN RELEASE until all your bombs have dropped. I do that on my practice missions I built I'll drop 6 GBU-31's in about 3 secs then just watch the TPOD for a lot of booms.

I want everything from southern Baghdad to Turkey. Spent Sept 2007 to Dec 2008 flying all over Iraq as a Blackhawk crewchief. I am intimately familiar with those areas. Stationed at Mosul. Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Kirkuk, Q-West, Duhok, Tal Afar, Speicher. Good thing Google Earth is there Lol

I was just looking for a post like this. I wouldn't mind having IFF up and running but don't see how to yet. I have a Mode 2 code on my kneeboard but can't put it in...

I just had a dual engine failure...JFS didn't help at all. JFS kicked on just fine but engines just spooled for about 10 secs then spooled done. 300kts IAS and everywhere from 25,000ft down to 2,000ft. No light off. Big splash...

So, old topic I know, does checking this option have any impact or not? I just noticed it and was curious.
-
Even with maddogging, if the SIZE and RCS are set to large, it's internal radar will ignore the smaller targets, helicopters, cause it's to small of a return.

Well alrighty then Lol -
You change the RCS and SIZE of the target on the 120's? Don't know that plays a roll with the radar at all or if it's just the missiles seeker...

Caught some flak. Landed. Got repaired then rearmed/fueled. Now I'm showing 25,000lbs of fuel onboard with just internal and belly tank...And now it just shut down the engines while I'm typing this. I caught a bug or something. -
Is there anything that shows what the trains look like before I just randomly add them and start a mission to see?
-
Judging by the silence, no one does Lol I just got mine in and I'll guess I'll play with it...
-
Is the ECCM mode still not functional on the Hornet yet or am I missing something?
-
That one paragraph from Fresh has already explained it more than the book does... Oh, it's a mission? That might be why I've been missing it. I've been looking under training...Ya know, the place it would make sense to be under.....

Longer you say? 9 times out of 8, I can't pick anything up over 10 miles. Or, the opposite, if it's too close, my radar won't detect it. Can't use the AIM-120 to it's potential in the slightest. Very annoying.
