  1. So ... And yet, screenshots present the topic from high altitude. I really was looking forward to this map, but I am mainly ground pounder enjoying flying low or low and slow (Apache). The map in low level is terrible, with parts far worse than the old Caucasus we have.
  2. Yep, still does not re-arm, as per my original report.
  3. thank you @cfrag!
  4. I wish inland water (lakes, rivers) got that treatment as well
  5. After the recent update it is somewhat better, but still a lot is unfinished / unpolished. Random green / parking lot / petroleum tanks in weird places across the map. It looks good at places but it is not any better than much older Syria map, which I regard as the best map in DCS, for its quality, diversity and much better urban, as well as rural tiles
  6. What are the names / locations for these nice POIs?
  7. In my testing it is looking like the latest update fixed the issue! Thank you @NineLine
  8. I thought I am bad virtual Apache pilot. I like the fact that this is going to be tweaked eventually.
  9. DCS 5.0 in 2030 maybe will be graphically matching the above. Terrain graphics degraded with recent maps (SE, Kola, Afghan) and it looks like it is the general direction in preparation for DCS Earth project. However, when in combat one may not have time to notice just how outdated DCS tech is, so maybe it is time to try Tomcat in this more visually appealing scenery and leave combat out for a bit...
  10. Remove pylons is one of the options in ME armament window. null also in the jet in mission in re-arm menu
  11. Nope, works absolutely fine on my gaming rig as well as on the Precision 5570 laptop
  12. Maybe that's why N2 does not include Dover castle and other POIs that The Channel has and vice versa? Hmmm... interesting. I was really looking forward to the Israel update of the Sinai map, definitely did not see this kind of update coming though ...
  13. What the F? The reason is "request by third party"? So if we become a third party we can request to get it back then, right? @OnReTech
  14. Kola? With this detail? And buildings don't match ( urban tiles)
  15. New ones? From the CH-47 tailer:
  16. Yeah I get that. I understand your points completely, ED long said they can do only that much in terms of accuracy and if the satellite imaginery is showing urban area it will use the urban tiles in the map. Let's hope we can influence it a bit in the future
  17. A bit of a history from: Philippe Colin In May 2003, seven German Air Force MIG-29 "FULCRUM" fighters flew to North America for their last major deployment. This trip was their fifth and last ever as the aircraft will be transferred to Poland later this year. Code-named "Sniper", the exercise comprised seven russian-designed MIG-29 and pilots from 731 squadron, the only unit in the German Air Force flying the type. The squadron is part of JG-73 "Steinhoff", based at Laage Air Base, near Rostock on the Baltic Coast. Fulcrum Farewell USA 2003 | Flickr
  18. The first Fulcrum's livery in that screenshot is the Fulcrum farewell tour 2003 though...
  19. I really hope @OnReTech can work with the author of this spectacular attention to detail and hard work.
  20. Quite the opposite. We were just too good to pick up on the leaks they have posted and now those were removed as to not reveal the map before revealing it. We know what we saw, it's just a matter of time.
  21. Maybe it's not accurate for the desert year that is being simulated
