  1. I was trialing the gazelle pre update to updated version so the new ‘lack in power’ characteristics was very apparent for me. But they are saying not to compare the new FM to the old FM and to take 50% fuel, that it is pretty accurate So… But yes to me it does feel rather underpowered when compared to the other DCS helos esp when w/o translational lift.
  2. IIRC, on else off is similar to button on / button off except the latter is better if you are using a modifier for a second command layer on the same switch. The switch status of command layer one gets altered by layer two’s action if it was mapped using on else off, but remains unaffected if button on / button off method was used instead.
  3. For those with the Warthog F16 stick castle
  4. Updated: TM Warthog Profiles for Pilot and WSO https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3331781/
  5. As far as I can tell, no diff with day and night.
  6. I just scanned through 40 posts in the bugs and controller bugs section. There was only one that was replied to by "3rd Party Developer", none by ED. Are ppl from Razbam replying as "Members" or are we pretty much on our own here?
  7. Manual Pg 149 states - "Velocity Vector can be caged to the center of the HUD by pressing the Left Multifunction Switch on the throttle. When it is caged, a ghost VV is displayed at the true VV position." I have not been able to get this to work with HUD in CMD in NAV, IST or A/G Master Modes. Is this WIP? The para was not marked with the yellow page X symbol.
  8. That para was marked with the 'not implemented yet' icon (yellow page with an "X" symbol)
  9. I have the Warthog throttle but its mini stick slew meant for TDC use is not good unless a mod replacement, like the one by Delta Sim, is used to replace it. The F16 stick dome HAT as TDC works fine for me in the F18/16 and the JF17 has lots of slew sensitivity bars in special options.
  10. I am not using a slew axis but have always mapped TDC to my stick's 4 way hat switch on all my other modules and it worked well. It is just overly sensitive in the F15E.
  11. If I bind the HUD Video Contrast control (+10% / -10%) to my warthog stick's L/R hat, using it causes the HUD Brightness knob to immediately turn to zero which means I lose HUD symbology during NAV FLIR. (No problems if I bind the HUD Video Brightness Control likewise and use it.)

  14. Using Warthog F16 stick dome shape hat as TDC slew but it moves way too fast. Any way to slow it down? Hope they will add a slider for slew sensitivity adjustment in the special options soon.
  15. Amazes me why others would object to simple quality of life game options that would not affect them. Yes it's still a game.
  16. Dated 21 Jun 2023 if obtained from install dir... /Doc or if using ED's Link - DCS: F-15E Flight Manual (digitalcombatsimulator.com) Dated 14 Jun 2023 if using Razbam's Link - Manuals | Razbam Simulations (razbamsimulationsllc.com) Not sure what is the diff.
  17. So strange …
  18. Just to add though it may not be your issue, it does take quite a while for the TGP image to appear if TGP was OFF previously. I had to hit time accelerate for quite a while.
  19. The "left multi-function" switch fires the laser manually.
  20. Nice vid, I could see the boots on pedal at landing and take off. Not a lot of right pedal to stay straight from what I can see, until he started to yaw right at 3:40.
  21. Sorry but isn’t there a SME from PC that could just explain and set the record straight instead of us speculating? Did I miss such an official clarification post somewhere?
  22. I mapped the WSO TGP Gain and Level knob for the Pilot hotas but it doesn't do anything to the Pilot's TGP and there is no animation of the knobs turning either. If I adjust the knobs as WSO, it also does nothing to the TGP's gain or level. Is this to be fleshed out later or did I miss something?
  23. Yeah that's for HUD IN CMD. Thank goodness it is just castle depress (hold down not req'd), then bump fwd. So I can use a modifier + castle fwd to simulate castle depress. As for the A/G radar Hi Res map box, good thing that holding down of TDC depress is not required to move the box (unlike the F18).
  24. Hi, the F-15E pilot's castle switch is suppose to scroll the MFD pages as per manual description but it is not do it the way the F16 (DMS) can in that it stops scrolling after one page. Granted the same company Boeing's Hornet (and JF17) cannot scroll MFD pages (only SOI). Is this the intended behaviour for the Strike Eagle? UPDATE: Ok reread the manual, it scrolls only "programmed display formats". "In the front cockpit, the pilot uses LONG PRESS Castle Switch to take command of MPD and SHORT PRESS towards the desired display to scroll between the programmed display formats. Each time the switch is toggled (Castle short press) towards the left, it scrolls to the next format on the left MPD (in sequence introduced earlier, 1-2-3)." ~ Pg 181
