  1. Is there anything coming later in this module that will 'remove' this limitation or is designating out in front here to stay? Thanks.
  2. Thanks. I know about the turns but was trying to avoid the masking post impact, for video recording Instagram purposes, lol
  3. +1 indeed

    TPOD -Off

That's strange, is it really "TPOD OFF-UNSTOWED" or "TPOD NRDY - " ?
  5. What type of hotas? Cleared any double bindings or unwanted axes controls? I use a warthog hotas to map the R/L HCs and the TDC, castle and coolie are working for me, also with a modifier (not switch). WSO hotas and R/L HC buttons are not animated as of now. (Pilot hotas buttons are animated.)
  6. Yeah it is rather loud. Some option to tweak it to the user’s preference would be the simple common sense thing to do for a game.
  7. Isn't it auto acq depress at the moment that toggles A/PTRK in the WSO seat?
  8. Hmm.. not quite what I expected, still some masking at the end and seeing the explosion through half a screen. Seems it's by design/inherent limitations which is a bit of a bummer cos this is what the mudhen does best and we will be seeing a lot of this masking and can't enjoy seeing the 'fireworks'. Will there be a future tpod coming (litening or sniper? can't remember which) that does not mask as easily? I recall the other modules like the F18/16, the tpods did not mask as much. Update: Probably not tactical but if you drop speed and climb so the little box in the TPOD does not go too far behind the target, it won't mask on impact.
  9. +1 Yeah it has this disconcerting feel to it unlike the other modules. Is this how it is IRL?

  11. Standard warthog hotas. I thought of using a switch but stuck to using a modifier. I use a modifier for the HA/FA trigger, Laser Fire, TDC depress, and Coolie/TDC. Other than that the controller functions are separate between stick and throttle. About the TDC/Coolie: On RHC I use Coolie with modifier under TDC (black dome hat on stick). For the LHC on the throttle, I had to put it in reverse - TDC in modifier under the Coolie, so that I could use the corresponding LHC HA which was in a modifier layer.
  12. Just tested. If I am at ADI (MPCD) or TEWS (R MPD) for more than 5 secs, I need 2 presses (towards the display) before it starts scrolling my prog sequence again. Other than that, seems to work fine on my end. No issues with L MPD.
  13. Could not get Castle Depress to select sequence points in WSO's TPOD screen but can be done in WSO's A/G Rdr (and in Pilot's A/G Rdr and TPOD, with Coolie Up). Is this intended behaviour?
  14. R MPD always goes to TEWS first, while bottom MPCD always goes to ADI first, then only the other prog pages in sequence if done <5s. Something to that effect.

  16. WSO Hand Controllers, Manual Pg 296 says, "In A/A radar or in A/A PACS page, short pressing right (<1s) rejects the priority missile and chooses another active missile." Anyone got this to work?
  17. Key mappings are auto saved in C:\Users\User\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\F-15E, but they can also be saved separately using the respective drop-down menus for "Joystick" and "Throttle" etc, with "Save profile as" to any folder and filename of your choice. If you did not delete that folder, your mappings should still be there.
  18. Mentioned in the manual (pg 94/95) but there is no key binding. Is this not modeled?

  19. Not the most important thing at this stage and probably not fleshed out yet: 1. No key binding for Master Caution Button 2. Key binding for Master Caution Reset does not animate when commanded (not sure if it works also) 3. To move or declutter Cautions in the displays, the manual says we need to hold down the Master Caution and simultaneously move the Castle (pilot) or Coolie (WSO). But is it the Button or Reset knob (springs back) that we are to hold down? The manual on page 185 says (for pilot and WSO) to hold the Master Caution Light while page 96 says (for WSO) to hold the Master Caution Reset.
  20. +1 Call Radios 1/2 do not work for me in the WSO seat but they work fine in the Pilot seat. But "\" which is the Comms Menu (Interphone) works in the WSO seat.
  21. Glad to have helped. The previous behaviour you described seemed like a 'Switch' which changes the state (shifted) until you press the assigned switch button again. With a Modifier, the shift is in effect only when you hold the assigned modifier button down. 'Shift' was the term used in the other unnamable s_m but here they call it a modifier. I have never used a Switch before. The Apache controls (front and back flight controls + LHG & RHG) were all mappable to my warthog hotas with just one modifier layer. Should be the same with the WSO controls but I have yet to map them.
  22. Just to check, you are using a modifier (example) and not a switch right? Seems to work fine on my standard warthog hotas (f16 stick) though in my case I use the throttle slew button as modifier.
  23. Yeah requiring so much collective (and pedal) does seem rather strange.
