Business model: No free DCS core. Free updates along the year and paid yearly upgrades that includes new major features. Early Access that has a comprehensive and transparent roadmap and that is not subject to change after pre-release: Words are kept and the roadmap is realistically achievable within it's announced development period; the roadmap that is realistic and transparent, meaning that for example, during pre-release, when the roadmap is announced, that such a module will have it's development interrupted for XX months in order to focus on another module, so as to make sure that the costumer is aware before pouring money in. An early access roadmap that has its development properly planned with the main goal of providing positive training throughout its development cycle. This means that features, when implemented, are done in an organized manner and follows a plan that focus on providing the user a progressive learning experience of each new system that is introduced as a whole, and not in bits of random broken pieces every once in a while. A development forum that is free from censorship and revionism, but that is based on moral-ethical values of fairness, equality, respect, tolerance and humility to, for example, accept criticism, even if that means, for example accepting to have DCS being openly compared and discussed against that other 'not to be named' simulator or any competitor.

missing info AI so basic and dumb
stormrider replied to Lau's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
AI that's constantly deploying its airbrakes for no reason, even after afterburning. AI flights that will only bomb one target per pass, even if there are several targets assigned. AI that behaves according to an imaginary parallel universe's physics. AI that are assigned SEAD, but as soon as they're locked by an enemy radar, jettison all their weapons and run. AI that is incapable of maintaining formation AI that is inbound for landing, but abort at last minute before touching down because a parked jet started taxing. AI that will always and only go vertical after first merge. AI that refuses to attack a target that is in range, in sight and has weapons for it, or the opposite, AI that has clairvoyant vision and can see through everything. AI helicopters that are unable to flying below 90ft. AI helicopters tactics where pop-up attacks behind cover doesn't exists. -
Found: Complete and Rejoin

I read it a few days ago and dont recall any mention of it.

Flight Engage Primary and Rejoin? Is this command present in VAICOMPRO?

DCS AI is pretty shit at the moment. You need to manually "tell it to not brown his pants." Click the F-18 unit, go to advanced and add the following Set Options: Restrict Jettison, Reaction to Threat Evade. In the list there should be already a Start enroute task > SEAD-a If not, you can add Start enroute Task > Sead

That's exactly what the realistic ATC implementation entails. AI that is capable of doing all the ground work in an organized and efficient manner, but also in the air, on patterns, to and from. -
This thread is making me think twice about ever buying their F-15E, which by itself, is already filled with controversy. I remember back in 2009 I first saw them announcing it. There was even a forum section for it under Razbam. Initially, they showed some screenshots of progress, obviously bogus as we found out not too long after. Months passed, even years, where we started asking them for progress reports, but they had simply vanished from the forums, refusing to answer what we already knew, that the F-15E project had been abandoned! Few years later, the forum section was silently closed, as silent as the Harrier was put out of EA. I was excited to discover that they had picked up the F-15E again, sometime during this past 2 years, because I naively believed that because of the Harrier stated progress, they had finally fixed their ways. I guess I was wrong.

The only reason why I still wouldn't buy an AMD gpu on this coming generation is that they still haven't proved they can deliver consistent reliable drivers.

Autostart always. I like flight simulation, not cockpit start-up simulation. Time is a very scarce resource to waste doing the exact same thing everytime.

Thank you

I assume you don't know where this somewhere might be? I'd like to daisy chain my other VA profile into vaicompro's, but would like to have it talk to dcs directly instead of key bindings.

Decoupling Rearming/Refueling from FARP Pads/Airfields
stormrider replied to Xoho's topic in DCS Core Wish List
You have my full support. +1 -
Is there any documentation on this DCS API on how to communicate with DCS without keystrokes?
-
Thanks, how does it communicates with DCS without keybinds?
-
In order to install and use VAICOM PRO, do I need to reset my keybindings back to default?

A-10C Flight Performance Request to Fixed with DCS: A-10C II
stormrider replied to Habu23's topic in Wishlist
I bet it was because of him saying that the current A-10C doesn't fly anything near as pig as the one in DCS. Bad constructive feedback from good source = breaks all the forum rules. -
Regardless, good practices make positive training.

Thank you.

That's what I have to do as well. Shouldn't be necessary to waste so much time doing that.
