[REPORTED]MLWS not detecting Stinger/Igla missiles
Mud replied to Rex854Warrior's topic in Bugs and Problems
Last flights I've done I at least got warnings when friendly Apache's started firing AGM-114's. -
Just tested: same behavior for me. No mods installed.

Terrible frame rate (Oculus Rift) in Gazelle
Mud replied to TripRodriguez's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
Yeah, I mostly have ASW off as well. Anything with a propeller or rotor causes some kind of overlapping in the cockpit with ASW on, which looks terrible. Even in jets when you look at the edge of the canopy / engine intakes and the ground, you see some kind of anomalies. Hence for now I keep ASW off all the time. -
Does anybody know here how to make that function really a toggle one? I have mine bound to the paddle switch of my stick, but I have to hold it down to zoom. I'd rather have it set so that I press the paddle switch once and I stay zoomed in until I press the paddle switch again. Any mapping guru's out there who know how to do this? Mud

I missed the touch part in your OP there. My bad :)

Hey Trigen, The Rift is €650 new in Europe at the moment (shipping included). So I fear none will buy it for the price you're offering. Nevertheless, good luck with the sale. And sad to see you have to let it go. :/

Hey Ronin, While I don't have much multiplayer experience myself. I think you just have to select an open slot (ie: the plane you wanna get into) and the click briefing at the bottom.
-
Hey Sobe, It can be a bit of a pain in the beginning. But it's like learning to ride a bicycle. Once it clicks, it'll never let go. First I would really advice you to turn off take-off assist and rudder assist. If you get the Mustang in the air, then you're past the hard part as far as I'm concerned. Don't climb too fast, and keep the wings level with the stick. Also make sure your throttle movements are very gentle at low airspeeds.

I tried this myself tonight, but unfortunately did not gain any fps from this. Both in a low and heavy AI environment. In either case worth a shot, and learned something along the way. Thanks for the suggestion.

In PLAN and CCIP with HD bombs (master mode NAV), trigger up doesn't mark the target. In fact the waypoint doesn't have to be a target waypoint. Assuming 0 navigation drift, just go low and fast and make sure you're HUD is set low. When the target is between the dot and the circle: pickle! In PLAN + ANF I haven't had much success though. I mark the target as required, but my bombs always seem to fall long.

Belgh ... Painful! I hope they'll get back to you soon.

Viggen additional 2/3 position (toggle) switches Mod
Mud replied to funkyfranky's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Awesome, thanks Franky. Is there any way to add a 3-way toggle for the autopilot? For instance the AP switch on the Warthog hotas has 3 positions. Down could be off, middle could be attitude hold and up altitude hold. -
I'd really start with overclocking your CPU. You've got a K model that you appear to be running at stock speeds according to your sig.

Mustang's land textures zip file package
Mud replied to Mustang's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
The dropbox links seem dead, Mustang. -
No worries, Wolf :) We'll have they hope they sort it out soon.

+1 That and multi-crew. It's been pretty silent around the Huey unfortunately. :(

I've updated my drivers to the latest version, and as I expected it makes no difference. That makes sense cause I saw the drop in frames after the DCS 1.5.6 update. For reference I'm getting about 24fps in the Viggen cold start training mission, and oddly both CPU cores and GPU are seeing a max load of around 75%
-
Yeah, I also took a big fps hit in 1.5.6 Even in the menu's I see it. Always used to be 90 there, now I'm seeing around 60fps.
-
Yeah, same here. What I do is move the throttle over the hump and back to OFF as soon as I enter the pit. Same goes for the flaps control lever. I also start the engines by motoring them. Motor, throttle over idle cutoff, motor back to norm. But that has no effect on the problem mentioned by you though afaik.

Dear oculus rift cv1 users. Is it really worth it!
Mud replied to boedha68's topic in Virtual Reality
I share your feelings, MadMonty. Years ago I built a campaign for the A-10C, and once more or less done I moved on to BMS, and then later flying choppers and prop planes in DCS. I got my rift last week, and I'm blown away. I flew one of the missions in my campaign to see if everything was working alright, and improve maybe this or that. Well, it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable flights I've ever done. Spoofing SAMs, dodging machine gun fire, ... I've never had this much situational awareness. The 1:1 tracking alone is already such an improvement over TrackIR. And it doesn't behave erratically like TIR does. I've installed Picksking's terrain and Mustang's cloud mods today and I can't wait for the kids to be in bed so I can have another go! Apart from the negatives we all already know such as sharpness, the only two negatives I experience is that it does get a bit warm on your face, and I have to drink beer through a straw :D Bottom line: awesome bit of kit! Just received mine today, and of course the questions are piling up. I did some searching here and on the net but couldn't find anything concerning: - Is it normal that my normal monitor is also still showing DCS while on the Rift? Doesn't this consume resources? - I expected the field of view to be wider. Is there a setting which regulates this? Br, Mud
