  1. 3D printing isn't an option? Also, I've seen eBay listings with ready-made sets of different shapes and sizes.
  2. I think I've seen a post by an ED official that further radar improvements are planned as a followup to the main Upgrade release.
  3. There are numerous issues with the new cockpit. I can imagine very few items of lesser importance than that helmet. So I'm guessing ED hasn't responded to your post with "That's right" out of politeness
  4. Same as any other module. Along the way you'll have a Buy as Gift button available.
  5. Same here - i can hear nothing well in advance enough to save me from catastrophic damage. That said I haven't lost my wings even once while flying using an xbox game controller.
  6. Is a separate Wishlist entry made yet?
  7. Ditto!
  8. Great update and finally the fixes for long-outstanding issues are pouring in. Really great job! The external model is excellent! I highly recommend pointing your tail to the sun and see into the engines. Or go belly up before you retract the landing gear as the LDG bay doors open egain prior to retracting the whole assembly. The pilot model and animations - WOW! You can even tumble him around by causing rudder oscillations. I for one don't particularly like the cockpit update in its current state. It's often the case I like the old one better (with Yemet's Recovered roughmets mod). Apart from some overdone metallic effects the main gripe (issue 1) I have is something akin to artifacts. First I thought it's only insufficient mipmaps (especially on the RWR panel!) causing lot's of shimmering even with MSAA x4. But then I noticed something more. There seem to be lot's of instances where certain components have contrsting outlines. Issue 2 is: (it also compounds the issue 1) Vast majority of cokpit panel labels are done as "engraved almost filled with white paint." That's not how any panels in real F-5E are made. The letterings are raised, not lowered, if anything. I'm not saying it's a lost cause because I assume some tweaks are going to be made. You can take a look how a default cokpit looked like with Yemet's Recovered fixes here in my farewell flight with the old DCS F-5E. https://youtu.be/VoiYRuzIeGY?t=172
  9. I replicated my winter instant action Take Off 1 mission flight and got similar results still. I'll submit a short track tomorrow. This one was over an hour long.
  10. True, true Thanks!
  11. Just because a mod doesn't pass Multiplayer integrity check it doesn't mean you can't post a link to it
  12. Check during evening/night For all it's worth those handles are not as transparent/nonrefracting even when their new. I'd say it's a bug, low priority at that.
  13. Installing right now! Those cannon bays! I'm going to leave the old one installed and see what happens.
  14. It may well be the updated cockpit is not part of the initial release. This would explain ED refraining from posting shots. Not to worry. The only thing that worries me is possible overdoing of old paint and weathering as we saw with F-14.
  15. Let's get to it then
  16. Well, since the Non-Linear maps the input and output so that you can use the full forward range of your joystick to pitch down... I haven't tried the Linear, ever And I think it only makes sense with extended joysticks.
  17. Sticks don't output force. All except some fringe cases output position. Think about it this way: linear means proportional So to use the linear setting with the expectation to get full ranges you'd need to build yourself a stick with matching movement ranges. The Non-Linear seems to be mapping the standard joystick square range to what the F-5E employs in its controls.
  18. No. The FFB option is for FFB sticks. The two non-FFB options only differ in how they map the real neutral pitch stick position to the neutral position of your joystick. Switch between the two and see what happens.
  19. Zerkniesz jeszcze raz?

  20. @=475FG= Dawger By referring to F-4 I didn't mean any direct similarities in the control systems of those two aircraft, merely the F-4 module developers approach to add extra means facilitating desktop simulator limitations. In RL F-5E control stick deflections are not instantaneous by the mere fact that movement of a human arm isn't instantaneous (something CGI animation guys are struggling to wrap their heads around), let alone holding a piece of metal while acting on springs with additional force. I haven't seen any real world data but I'm also far from assuming infinite control surface hydraulic actuation rate and momentum capabilities. All that said I don't think anyone is going to provide a ready algorithm for ED here in this topic. I for one am only highlighting the possibilites, based on examples from Assetto Corsa and DCS Black Shark. It's up to ED to acknowledge the need and come up with a solution, as was the case in numerous instances, G-force fatigue being one of many. From all of the mildoc materials I read F-5E's only means of control input guard rails are literally constant rate springs and a weight bob for the pitch channel.
  21. There's no technological advancement resource abusers won't squander. That's a lesson from the last decade of computing. The more specific lesson since the release of F-14 is we need enforcement by ED as 'reasonable use' doesn't really speak to some.
  22. Yes, to a large degree. Missing attachment.
  23. In DCS output is limited to spring stop. Passing the spring stop requires holding the [L] key. You can read more about it in my simpit thread. You can also find physical data on controls movement there (attached spreadsheet). Thanks for bringing more attention to the subject. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/318106-f-5e-simpit-cockpit-dimensions-and-flight-controls/
