  1. I suggest before upgrading anything, try overclocking you cpu first and see what kind of performance increase you notice. I had that chip before and had it overclocked @4.7 watercooled. Give it a shot before spending money on upgrades.
  2. Here's a brief overview of my results. I have tried both options presented in this thread, and for me, they both get rid of in-cockpit ghosting, which I HATED, however, they both produced different side-effects. By in-cockpit, I mean the instruments, such as the UFC or HUD. I normally get ghosting when moving laterally. First, I've tested using the Viper, Hornet and Tomcat, and my DCS settings are mostly High with: Windows: 1903 MSAA: 0 or 1 AF: 16x modified Shadows.lua using a mixture of medium and ultra shadows. Using ultra for in-cockpit shadows PD: 1.0 SteamVR SS: 180-200% Now, using Gun's method with the 60Hz as I said does get rid of the in-cockpit ghosting, but it produces a weird effect with the trees, which others have recently mentioned. Also, when looking to the side, initially it's smooth, but after a few seconds it gets choppy. Not ghosting, but I guess it's a stuttering effect. I also noticed the Tomcat's mirrors had a huge effect on the side views. When they're off, the stuttering takes longer to start, but it still happens. The Viper and Hornet had good performance but still had issues with the side views. When using Toy's suggestion, it also gets rid of the in-cockpit ghosting, and the side views are constantly smooth. However, this suggestion produces a lot of ghosting on other objects. For example, if I roll left to right or vice versa looking at my wings, I can see ghosting on the wings. Also, ghosting in the fly-by cam, on other jets when dogfighting, and ghosting in the Tomcat's mirrors. So even though I do maintain high frames with both suggestions, there are some draw-backs that I will have to decide which ones I can live with.
  3. Nah I highly doubt it. They've done a lot as far as end-of-year updates so don't get me wrong, I am grateful, but this module is such a mystery and the mystery is killing me.
  4. I think it's safe to say it won't be this year.
  5. Where is that fille located? I have this setting in my graphics.lua file: stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = false
  6. I ordered these a couple of days ago. How long does it normally take to ship? I didn't realize they were shipping from Germany.
  7. The left brake seems fixed. Preciate it ED.
  8. Can you provide some footage? I could not find any good footage.
  9. I hope BN closes this thread until there's an update to provide. Constantly asking the same question makes no sense, especially since he specifically said he will update us when they have info about the update.
  10. Hopefully Friday we can get at least one of these questions answered on this thread. The silence from ED is killing and scaring me at the same time. I know BN said a lot of internal testing and tweaking is going on right now, but hardly any of these questions have been answered.
  11. Currently, if you miss any wire you bolter. Have you done any carrier ops yet? I see you're new to the forums, but not sure if you're new to DCS. I bolter all the time, so yes you can. :)
  12. Wow. I guess you'll have to wait and see what's included through the patch notes as with every update.
  13. Did you not make a backup of your original registry file before applying this one?
  14. I've recently been doing some night/dark sorties mainly in the Viper & Hornet, and I've noticed that the external lights does not always render in both eyes. However, at slightly different angles they do. It's similar to the effect shadows have in VR. Sometimes they do not render in both eyes. It's really annoying and kind of disorienting at times. I know the shadows have been like this forever, but is there a workaround for this, or can this be reported as a bug please? Thanks in advance!!!
  15. When using realistic radio comms, you always have to be tuned into the correct frequency in order to communicate/hear wingmen or another flight.
  16. Currently, the go to tanker command is not available in the F-16C stock comm file. You have to add it manually. I did that here at the link below: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251477
  17. I'm using the cougar throttle with the Warthog stick since my Cougar stick broke. I bought the TUSBA adapter from RealSimulator. It was pretty much plug-n-play.
  18. No problem. I appreciate you showing us the file. It's unfortunate we cannot taxi on the hangar deck. Would've been pretty cool.
  19. Mentioned in another thread, I've tried switching the brakes to channel 2 and they seem to work consistently. Although the manual states it should normally be set to channel 1.
  20. MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILE. Here's my modified Stennis file. I only have elevators 3 & 4 setup for spawn and despawn spots. I also included a mission file that starts the player on elevator 4 with 2 AI coming in for landing. Once both AI land and park on elevator 3, both elevators go down. Once you're lowered, you will be facing the hangar deck. However, this is all pointless because as Cooler mentioned, once you attempt to taxi onto the hangar deck, you fall through the floor. It's still cool to see though. I also noticed that when the first plane taxi onto the hangar deck, it ends up on the flight deck, but the others stay in the hangar. I can't wait for more Super Carrier news just to see how we will be able to interact with it. USS_John_C_Stennis_RunwaysAndRoutes.lua Spawn_Test_CAUC.miz
  21. Here's a WIP pic from the screenshot section: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/upload/iblock/997/DCS-Supercarrier-13.jpg
  22. Yes. I'm guessing you haven't seen the screenshots.
  23. It's very interesting that ~98% of these questions and new threads are not being answered. Maybe ED is waiting to release the info on their terms, ie newsletter or release video. Hopefully more info will be released within the next 2 weeks.
  24. Hi, thanks for the reply, but what do you mean by that? Can you share your mission file?
  25. How did you do this with such an empty carrier? Did something change with the Stennis? Normally you would have to setup a bunch of static objects to block parking spots in order to get an elevator to work.
