Not on the CV1. Which one do you have? And are you sure it's the new rain drop effect that was introduced last year? The same effect you see on a 2D screen?

I know but it's already been mentioned that is a placeholder for Steam since they need an actual date to post.

Not all aircraft have been updated for the new rain drop effects atm.

I think the static deck crew are the ones that have animations such as using tools like a hammer, ect. I've seen a video a while ago, I believe from SiverDragon, where he was showing some animation files that had been included in an update.

I'll be away for a few days, could anyone provide any feedback on performance after today's patch? It would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Will ED make an SDK for 3rd Parties and their carriers?

Everyone sees this annoying thing. Even Wags' mentioned in an older video something about how he loves showing off DCS, until it comes to the clouds. We're ALL waiting on the before-mentioned new "weather system", but no one knows anything about it.

From my experience, DCS feeds off of cpu overclocking. The faster the smoother.

Well, I finally had time to do some testing. The 8/14 patch is what I had installed which is when all my problems started, so I reverted back to the 7/31 patch and my frames are back up. I'll try to do some more testing by updating to the latest DCS version and also updating my Nvidia drivers. I'm currently using the 430.86. Normally, I don't like updating drivers. If it ain't broke don't fix it, but I guess it is broke.lol

Hi BN, I understand you're not seeing these issues on your end, but can you check if the team is getting these issues with any of their pc configurations? I'm afraid that if ED isn't able to reproduce these issues, either they won't get fixed or it will get fixed indirectly at some point. The only evidence I have of ED not reproducing these issues is the fact they've already announced a stable version update next week. I don't believe if they knew frames were cut in half they would push it to stable version.

I'm one of those that's having fps issues, and my issues started with the 8/14 update. I'm getting 20fps where I was used to getting 45+ so logic tells me if the performance tanked after that update, it's something with the code. So when I get time, I'll revert back to pre 8/14 update to test if it is the code. With my specs, this should not be happening. However, I do have faith in ED to fix it, but it does not seem like they can reproduce it.

It's definitely unintended, but if ED can't reproduce the bad performance on their end, then the fix is going to take longer. That's what I'm afraid of.

Well, the more people report, the better. There's still a lot of people saying they do not have a decrease in performance. I hope ED can reproduce the bad performance on their end in order to fix it. However, with the announcement of a stable version update next week, it doesn't seem like this issue is important enough to resolve. I feel like if they could reproduce it, this issue would not make it to the stable version.

I'm having the same problems as you, but why uninstall it? Just patch back to the version before the 8/14 until they fix it. Surprisingly, it doesn't seem like many people are having this issue.

I deleted them, but my frames are still trash. EDIT: I'm only in single player.

The 8/14 update was where performance has gotten REALLY BAD for me and I only fly in SP. I'm hitting mid 20s fps where I usually get 45+. I haven't tried the 8/21 update yet, but more likely i'll be doing a 8/07 patch back. I don't care about a Harpoon so I won't be missing much.

I can't believe I feel this way, but I rather see a video on the SuperCarrier than the Viper right now. I feel so ashamed.:cry:

Hi Bigs, Since you have access to the inside scoop of ED, are you able to confirm if there was code released in today's patch to fix the fps issues from the last patch? I am at work right now so I can't update and check. Unfortunately, I do not see any mention in today's change log. Thanks.

Of course they will be available for non-VR. They're just mentioning those features will be available for VR users.
