In the recent trailer for the Fw 190 you could briefly spot a new effect for objects impacting the water surface, similar to a new effect that was introduced about a year ago or so. The explosion effects were still of the "vintage" style we have now. I interpret this as a sign that the effects were or are in the process of integration. Of course I don´t know what other steps are required in the process of integration, but it looks pretty advanced by now. Also, I wonder why Wags hasn´t really posted any official screenshots for EDGE lately. Let´s hope it is because they are preparing some kind of (media) update... :)

The VA-Server is a cool place for DCS MP. So many people flying different modules all on one server at the same time. Love it! :thumbup: To start off, I´ll just post two short scenes which I randomly captured on the server last night with the new modules Fw 190 & F-86. I´m still experimenting with in-game recordings, but it´s a lot of fun.

I failed once or twice maybe. Takeoff is easier compared to landings for me. I have developed a rough technique, but I found it a little hard to overcome the habits that were acquired in the Mustang.

Yeah, I´m not really asking because a few weeks could make a big difference anymore; more so because I want to do this when I see the serial in my account. :devil_2:

Ok, have you downloaded the drivers (not programming software) from the Saitek product page? You must have, right? I only installed the drivers and never the software and it works like a charm. All axis and buttons are selectable from a drop down menu or will be picked up automatically if operated. :unsure: Perhaps it doesn´t work as long as the software is running in the background and you try to assign them from within DCS...

Naja, bald gehören diese Probleme vermutlich der Vergangenheit an. Der Detailgrad der MiG-21 ist wohl ohnehin mit Blick auf die neue Engine festgelegt worden... Ohne das jetzt zu sehr vertiefen zu wollen - das klingt für mich auch realistischer als 25fps.

Schöne Screenshots! Auf was für einem System läuft die MiG-21 beid ir denn, dass sie die FPS so drastisch in den Keller treibt? Kann mich gar nicht satt sehen... Will auch :cry:

As long as you have the Saitek-drivers installed, you can program the thumb wheels from within DCS. This works for all controls on the throttle except the thumb mouse button, but I find that generally imposible to use anyway. Haven´t had any issues with the X-55 so far and I´m not using the software...

Agree very much, although I find takeoffs easy and landings hard. Sadly, I haven´t had much time to fly the Dora until now, perhaps 1-2 hours. So much to catch up to even before the MiG-21 is out...

Very nice screens, but I opened up my PC case and it still wasn´t raining in there. As I said, the local reports are rather unreliable recently... ;)

Ok, perhaps there´s nothing fundamentally new here, but the Dora requires a lot of testing to get to know and fly it properly and the Sabre has some interesting weapon employment modes that I heven´t even tried out yet.

The weather reports for my region have been rather unreliable recently... :) And it´s not like we already have a lot on our plates, learning to fly the Sabre & Dora...

Are you seriously complaining about YouTubers wanting attention? :D Give people some time to learn. DCS is indeed no game to jump right into and see all the action. It´s obvious he´s still relatively new to DCS, so I didn´t find that much in his vids neither, plus maybe it didn´t meet some of his own expectations. He´s a simulation enthusiast - that much is obvious. Otherwise he wouldn´t be posting 30-40min races. Personally, I kinda liked his setup. Haven´t seen much on Twitch, but it would be cool to see some more advanced stuff at some point.
