Yeah, that´s possible, but when I hinted at that possibility some time ago, a mod jumped up and said it would most likely be straight forward 1.2.8 through to 1.3.0. It´s based on that non-official info. At this point I´m really wondering if DCS WWII is affecting the release date of EDGE in any way.

I just read the ED newsletter. Wow, EDGE in 1.3.0?! I guess it´s nice to have an announcement for a specific version number, but given past experience - who knows?! Sorry guys, I really appreciate the changes currently being made and all the new projects and ideas in the background, but when is this ever gonna come out? Just a rough projection: 1.2.7 -Dec 2013 -> 1.2.8 Apr 2014 -> 1.2.9 Aug 2014 -> 1.3.0 Dec 2014 (and that´s only linear, without any delays like, say RRG or somebody else having some troubles with their content prior to the release of a certain version) No offense, but in 2013 we were made to believe that it might be released before the end of the year, now it´s gonna be the same thing in 2014? This is just getting pushed back while there are new projects popping up at the side line all the time... Personally, I´m kinda disappointed about this point in the newsletter. Anyway, thanks for the awesome work so far. On second thought, there´ll probably be enough new content to keep us busy for a while. :) EDIT: Could it possbile that a simultaneous implementation of EDGE and the new WWII-sim is the reason behind this, so that there would be as little redundance in their work as possible?

No offense, but this smells of horse armor to me. If a complementary DLC-like system were to be introduced to the already modular DCS-World I would very much like those to be larger and contain more substantial stuff like for example campaigns, extensions/updates of functionality, specific sub-versions of the particular aircraft etc.

Oh, I didn´t notice that before either. What new stuff apart from Nevada, WWII stuff & DCS FW.190 could there potentially be to buy? I already got all those. Otherwise my 66$ will just be forfeit...? Well, not that I regret spending all that money...

With the comment on the small screenshot that Ilya showed in the last update I think he has given sort of a partial and indirect answer already - at least as far as the missing P-51 keys go (and perhaps the other selectable licenses out of the WWII stable of aircraft). This is of course speculative due to the lack of official confirmation, but there are plans to simply make selections of licenses available for your account on the ED homepage as long as the KS- or PayPal-backer can be clearly associated to an ED account. Transaction IDs from PayPal could for example be used to unlock those similar to the recently introduced bonus system for past purcases. It´s just the matter of putting together all the payment and account data. I kinda like the whole idea and I can understand their decision if they just want to put together the whole infrastructure before dealing with the potential chaos that is awaiting them regarding unresolved issues. But waht do I really know? Al I have is just a confirmation email from KS.
