Ach, ich hätte auch 50$ für CA gezahlt, wenn mit dem final Release eine Serverversion verbunden ist (irgendwie muessen sich die angekündigten 32 Slots ja verwirklichen lassen).
We had some unlocked servers online for some days after the last dcs world release... or at least we tried it.
Too many disconnects. Still not stable. ( and now 2 of our servers are back to bms)
just wait for next stable dcs release and there should be more publuc servers online.
Today I gave about 5-7 ground groups (15-25 units) some waypoints. All of them started moving and then all clients warped.
So I stopped the groups and warping also was over.
In the network.cfg there are lines (server side) for:
client_outbound_limit = 0,
public = false,
client_inbound_limit = 0,
Can anyone recommend values for these?
The "fog of war" feature is very promosing but IMO it is too overpowered right now.
When an A-10C client flies over a city full of tanks all the tanks down there are visible immediately.
Maybe something like this could be a solution:
Yesterday we had a mission running with some Ka-50, A-10C and 4 Combined Arms slots.
People in the CA-Slots had almost every time "connection interrupted". Later when there was only one guy in a CA-slot it was more stable.
With Combined Arms the Battle Commander could do some "recon" stuff. If I understand it correctly he can see everything what all of his own (AI) units can see.
So he is able to provide other flights with target coordinates.
Based on this information the pilots can create their own flightplans via CDU/Abris etc.
(one reason why a radio enviroment for Combined Arms would be very useful)
Also a nice feature on my wishlist: battle commander / flight leads can edit the briefing ingame. :)
