Hi - very impressive results in this first iteration of MT. I have not noticed much difference in VR as I suspect even with my card I am GPU bound. But in 2D at 4K the results are clear. I used the Raven One campaign and selected the second mission. I used FRAPS to log frames etc.. Started the logging just as I got into the cockpit (set to the static front view). Let the game run until the words "...start your engines!". Blue is ST exe, Red is MT exe. ST: Min (81), Max (108), Avg (95) MT: Min (105), Max (126), Avg (119) EDIT: cleared out those shader folders etc and now feels buttery smooth in VR in MP with 16 humans. Super job ED!

Lost track - have pre-ordered but was wondering when the F-15E is going to be released?

Sad to hear HP is leaving the headset market. What to go for next?

Hi - I use SteamVR with the HP G2 but I guess Open XR is better in terms of FPS/frame time? If so, how do I use Open XR, or is it built in to my system? Do I need to download anything? Many thanks.

Hi - are we likely to get Small Diameter Bombs for the F-16 / F/A-18 etc….?

The production on that video is sensational.

I love GS and MW. But little directly related to this sim. I personally think Hasard Lee is excellent.

Been watching a lot of low-level RL flight footage recently, and what feels missing for me in DCS is that sense of speed low down ... whether in VR or pancake mode. Flying through a valley in the Caucasus last night lacked that sheer feeling of speed, even low down. Why is that?

Progress pictures on the Eurofighter Typhoon
C3PO replied to DashTrueGrit's topic in DCS: Eurofighter
How hard can it be? DiD did it all in 1995! -
Were you on a MP server with incoming bandits or on a SP mission where your base was being attacked? Try a standalone training mission, knowing there is no AI around.

Yes indeed - but this is the first comprehensive pull together of all those core improvement plans for a long, long time. We heard very little about all of them in 2022.

Wow, very excited for the future! Love it! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/newsletters/a6204cbc7d5df25e887acb434b2f8e1b/

Very much looking forward to this too. But we know how YouTube can be pretty slow encoding content, especially 4k. is Glowing AMRAAM in a roughly US-based timezone?

In Ukraine it is the Mig-29s shooting HARMs. This - completely agree.

Sounds superb - and yes will implement the "bubble" system to prevent the CPU grinding the game to a halt.

investigating Large performance drop in VR after updating to 2.8
C3PO replied to some1's topic in Game Performance Bugs
This might be controversial, but I'd be willing to pay £20 specifically towards the cost of accelerating the implementation of multi-threading / Vulkan, if that allowed more resources to be allocated to the project over and above what we have now - if indeed that would help accelerate the project. Why not? We pay good money for modules. So why not specific features? -

Fantastic, comprehensive update. Great work.

It was great news to have this update, was beginning to think after my article in PC Pilot in Sept 2021 it would never come to fruition! Multi-threading / multi-core will be even more important when the Dynamic Campaign engine emerges ... that could well be a significant resource hog and it's own dedicated core could be pivotal to that smooth user experience. Next year could be a long year - looking forward too to hearing more about Vulkan implementation etc...
