  1. I had the same issue last night with Mk-82's / CCIP released in pairs. I still had bombs on the racks when the //// symbol came up on the HUD. I switched from AG to NAV then back to AG to reset it. IIRC Thing is, it didn't happen every time and I'm not sure what sequence of events triggered it. I'll have to test again and try to keep track.
  2. Looks like a fun server. I popped in but my ping was over 300, were is your server located?
  3. Like the guys above I have mine on the Warthog HOTAS. I use the CMS push for center and the Mic push for pause.
  4. Sounds like you have duplicate controls set. Always clear the default control settings before setting up your controls. For some reason DCS will set controls but they are can be pretty random. Hope that helps.
  5. Thanks Maverick, appreciate it (and the videos).
  6. Congrats on the quals guys. Very useful video for me, I'm still way too shaky from the 180 to groove. Nice to see how smooth you guys make the turn. Great visuals on the line up etc. If you don't mind (not considered bad form, apologies if it is) could you post your mission? The weather and sea state seems different from where I've been practicing.
  7. SA10 is a very nasty SAM. If you see it on your RWR you are already in very serious trouble. From what I understand chaff will not help (Flares are for IR missiles BTW) as this is a very advanced system and is not spoofed easily. Certainly dump chaff (you never know :) ) but head for the ground and get some terrain between you and the tracking radar. This would be one of those rare times where you could be excused if you over G the jet.
  8. I think the Harrier is great fun to fly. Definitely worth the buy. The big issue for me is the TDC axis is still screwy especially with the DMT. Seems odd that it's not working since almost every aircraft in DCS has a slew-able TDC and they work fine.
  9. I don't think they have released any tables (manual to be updated perhaps) yet for pop up attacks for the F-18. If you google Pop up attacks you will find some info for the F-16 which could give you an idea of when/distance to start your attack and at what altitude to roll in at, etc... They are the same bombs (MK 82, Mk 84, etc) so the release parameters should be the same to achieve the correct ballistic path to the target.
  10. Tankers equipped with TACAN will provide bearing and distance. If you are not getting a signal then there is a setting either in the mission or the aircraft which is not correct.
  11. Nice video guys. Lots of hard work and practice on display.
  12. Thanks MustangSally Must have updated that since I was there last. Update: Worked great, thanks again.
  13. Anyone figured out how to get the fonts and lines in the exported images correct? Mine right now are like spider web thin lines and unreadable.
  14. I found that the curve is so minor that it is undetectable while flying. I tried the user curve method but found it "uneven" for lack of a better word as you moved the throttle. Particularly while jockeying the throttle back and forth while "on speed" and holding a descent rate etc... The curve has a smoother feel to me as you adjust back and forth. Personal preference I guess. :)
  15. Thanks for the heads up Cowboy10uk... And thanks to both Sreventon and Capt Zeen for the expertise sorting this out and sharing.
  16. I just added a curvature of 6 to my throttle axis and it seemed to line up 100% at my AB detent on my Warthog. As each throttle is different try 5 or 7 curvature if the 6 doesn't work. Wish we had a method of setting the AB detent location similar to another flight sim.
  17. Alas, some of us don't subscribe to Facebook (for reasons). If you could be so kind as to copy update notices over on occasion that would be appreciated. Seems odd that they post on a third party site and not on the official forums.
  18. What Hiddenxreaper said. I set a dead zone of 3 for both pitch and roll so that allows the A/P to engage. Chuck also mentions it in his awesome guide. I haven't had any issues setting A/P the last few days.
  19. I haven't had to re-trim with speed changes. My experience is the same as what NoJoe mentions above.
  20. IIRC it's RCtl+Enter
  21. What Svend_Dellepude said. Sounds like you have some axis commands doubled up in your controls settings. There are a few profiles in this thread a search will probably turn them up. Here's one https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3524035&postcount=1 Good luck sorting out your issue. Let us know how you fixed it so others with the problem in the future can search the answer.
  22. Sad loss to a legend in the UK aviation community. Condolences to his family and friends.
  23. Way better than I am at the moment, nice job. One thing I noticed was you didn't offset from the carrier enough to see the deck when you passed over it before the break.
  24. Sweet. Thanks Chuck, great work as usual.
  25. Sigh... I am on a vacation 8000 km from home and will not be back until mid June. You will be on update 3 by then.
