Ah, you're using an axis with a middle detent. I just use the zoom in / out and normal keystrokes. Zoom normal always takes me back to my default view.
Thanks for sharing your solution. If I go to an axis zoom I'll keep it in mind.
Are you running any mods?
When I set up my default view I do not start TrackIR, perhaps that may have something to do with it... shrug.
Otherwise, for me RAlt+Num0 works fine for me.
In that case you should consider using the "Stable" version of DCS instead of the "Open Beta".
You will have a slower update tempo and less likely to have bugs.
Disappointing that it will be put in based on the poll results but hey, that's how it goes.
I like the idea of 2 maps, a realistic one to simulate operations during the conflict. And, a fantasy one for... well, whatever.
Mostly just a bit of flying around, setting up controls etc... Waiting for the A/G radar to be done.
Unfortunately, based on recent news it maybe a long way off yet, sigh.
I never tried it so I just thought up until now that if I pulled the emergency brake lever I would have brakes applied. Like an E-brake on a car.
I didn't realize it switched to a back up system and I still had to apply toe brakes.
Holy formatting Batman....
Sorry dude but that wall of text is impossible to read. I'm sure there is some useful info in there.
Can you do TL;DR for us?
Wow... 17 pages about a hiccup to control settings.
Sounds like a lot of people need to stick to "Stable" version. Takes just a couple of minutes to reset the controls.
It's going to happen again so get use to it or go stable.
I think it must be at your end Dave. I've had no issues launching the Mav G now either.
I think the guys above have correctly pointed you to two possibilities. A control issue or a missing update. You could also try a repair.
Hope you get it sorted.
Lol'd...
@DaveRindner that is exactly what I did and ruined a number of what might have been good landings.
Actually still happens if I'm not fully focused on what I'm doing. The tendency seems to be going away slowly but I dare not touch a helicopter now.
