  1. If He isn't a registered user setting up his account purchasing the modules under that account is a lot easier. That is how I gifted to a friend who wasn't a part of the community at the time. Fewer steps involved.
  2. There was a long discussion about that a few months back. If memory serves, it was related to the pixilation used by DCS in the programming language. It has pixilation set very high like a 3D Pixar movie. Does anyone else remember this discussion? Couldn't find the thread as it is quite long in the tooth.
  3. Unless U update that machine of yours soon U will be wrestling with DCS. Did you see and prepare the PC for DCSs' system requirements? Although XP was in the era of the Quad core chips I would hope your running at least 2.7 Mhz. processor? and 8 Gigs or more of Ram? The Video card must not be from that era, as it will not run this Sim. with any eye candy. It is odd (in a good way) that you have decided to join the fray Sir. I would assume a life event allows your attentions to be moored now?
  4. Good. I hope it isn't a bad memory chip on your GPU.
  5. This is caused by heat issues also. Have you cleaned out the case lately?
  6. Take a look at this very thorough test to get the most FPS and Quality out of DCS. I have all set to High with no FPS glitches and FXAA set to on with less of a system than yours. I would get rid of the overclock too, it does little in the way of increased gaming. Unless 2to4 frames are what you where looking to do for some reason.
  7. It also seems to get confused as to what Audio Device should be your default. I had to manually reset my Default 5.1 Speakers as Win10 made the HDMI Default.
  8. What do you mean by "Ported Over". Copy and pasted the folder to another location? Some users have had to delete the C++ files and then re-install them not just reinstalling when they received errors such as yours.
  9. What are your system Specs.? I do assume from what U said U are aware of the requirements but wanted to give it a try on your system anyway. I am just curious.
  10. System Specs. This is an odd one, I haven't heard anyone else having issues. Just in case give us your system specs. and whether you have overclocks on GPU or CPU. The C++ files should have all installed with Win10 But I guess you can check to be sure. It would appear in "Notifications" also as a needed update waiting for your click to approve the instillation. Net.3.5 should have come with Silverlight assuming you allowed the install.
  11. No need to do that anymore. Windows set those parameters auto magicly. sense windows vista was discontinued.
  12. Is your HDD Full?
  13. I had to read that one twice to understand what U nerds were talking about.:) How do those numbers line up with the nVidea equivalents.
  14. Remove the overclock and retry the sim.
  15. What is the difference between the 2 segments of this video? More damage caused with the gun in the first pass?
  16. Is the GPU overclocked? Nice system.
  17. Most likely just the ISP slowing, your graphics card has caused issues when overclocked?
  18. Then maybe it is your system not being able to keep up (Bottlenecking) as it were. What are your system specs.?
  19. So with this upgrade you are offered several install types? (i.e. upgrade/full) using the upgrade path didn't require an activation?
  20. This has to be a download error. There is no other explanation for such an error. You could try just downloading the exe. as that one seems to be your problem. There are no instructions or videos because it is just a click and it should auto run the setup. Keep trying the exe. has to be a click or pop as the file is downloading.
  21. DCS isn't the driver of Video Memory. That is the responsibility of DX9 in this case. Short answer is no the second cards memory will make no difference in the case of this Sim. or any DX9 Product on the market. If it did it would cost the application in bandwidth slowing down the system requests. In multi-GPU set ups it is the extra GPU that enhances the Video Quality and Speeds those requests to the screen. TomsHardware did a great article on How SLi Works here...........http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-sli-faq,4079.html#p3
  22. The key in this statement was "I flew online a bit". Logging into the Server will help others who use this upgrade path. After upgrading to windows10 log onto DCS Multi-player to avoid the dreaded request for a key every time you open the Sim. This happened before and was resolved by logging into the Sim. in Multi-player but I can't recall the error that caused this to be needed at the moment.
  23. Sounds like a glitch in the matrix (download) error. You may need to re-down load the exe. file.
  24. Not ready yet. just a preliminary release date.
