One of the biggest things with Win10 is their chipset drivers for motherboards. Along with the drivers for GPUs' the initial release of the Nvidia driver was a failure. The Sound Card Drivers for the Sound Blaster Fatality and the like was also a problem. Post your system specs. maybe someone has your same set up and can give you/us some insight as to what they did to fix this issue.

Try another SLi Bridge if you can. Someone was having issues with DCS and just by process of elimination changed to a different bridge and got all to work well with his SLi'd rig. Just a thought.

Ahhh!! You do mention a good point. Win10 is Ram hungry with the default settings in place. I am sure that the issue with lower FPS. is related to Motherboards chipset drivers for Win10. Along with the "Potential" for Ram being at fault also. ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe has a "Gen3" moniker and this is why I would bet dollars to donuts it is the cause.

Once all is set back up adding the program or item that caused the issue in the first place will always leave you back to square one. For Sure. I am anticipating the new graphics engine with the same enthusiasm as when I first installed DCS and heard the intro music. That was exiting for sure. and for a nerd like me getting the manual and reading through it for months before I purchased the Sim. was interesting. Wife would see me reading it and smile that "You are such a Nerd" smile at me.:)

Ahhhh Ye! of little faith. :) You must trust your fellow Pilots to be honest and forthright in their answers. Proficiency in it's Basic form is subjective. This is an exact science (Flight Sims.) So to be proficient in this instance is exacting in a linguistic sort of way.

I have little time to study the A10c (my favorite) and am not proficient in it by any means of the word. As for your answer to the Pole. Adding the modules you own is key to this question I think. If you have only your favorite then it is your only option other than the free birds.

That issue is typically related to running out of GPU Memory. A few iterations ago the Sim. would gain FPS by being reduced to the task bar and then restoring and continuing play. I don't know if this is possible with the newer ver. of the Sim.

This happened with a shipped gaming PC. It was sent Ground and Pound ala. UPS Ground and was beaten up pretty bad, the GPU had come loose just enough to allow it to register in the BIOS, but for the Data Transfer rate it sucked up the FPS, until we adjusted it in our Process of elimination tests. try reseating the GPU.

I did overclock it. Had it at 4.x for a yr. and a half or so. I didn't think the 2 or 3 FPS was worth it. My Son asked if he could have the PC when I upgrade and I thought dropping the Overclock was something that needed to be done I he was going to use it after me.

This is a hardware attribute. The theoretical as you say is dependent on hardware and your knowledge of the .lua commands. I would think. Some have found it necessary to increase the default size of the characters in order to Sim. at higher resolutions. Making it more a matter of exacting influence, than theory. The problem was the difference in the different systems used to engage targets. Although the panels were easier to read the TGP was difficult. In lua. increasing the draw distance and such is workable. I don't recall who but it has been done.

I understand your point for sure. I am still using my i7 920 at stock speed, all graphics on high with distance sliders all the way up. Not one single stutter or FPS drop. The only thing I would change is the GPU. on my system. Think of how much we users of the older tech. have saved over the yrs. with Intel's many updates to their chips.

You are correct in that the GPU is bottleknecking your system. Just get something newer for Xmas and you will be good to go.

"Staggering" really? Placebo Effect I am sure unless you can post the numbers before and after. No DX9 software is going to result in better FPS. This software has had issues with overclocked hardware for yrs. now, even back in 2011 there were users who couldn't keep the Sim running. Anyway Moving on, to each his own. Next!!

There are no benefits to overclocking a GPU or CPU. It is a tech. Urban Myth. Check the PC Hardware sites to verify this. The 2 or 3 extra Frames one receives is hardly worth the headaches and ware on the components. It is just a who's is bigger than who thing. No real value in Gaming or Real world apps. Of course if just making it go faster is your thing then have at it. The idea that "I finally can use my hd 7950 to the full" as you say is quite the misnomer.
