Turn down any overclocks you have and try to run sim again.

A script to deactivate all installed modules
AtaliaA1 replied to bojangles_25's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
For those worried about "Running a Script" please be aware that using an activation for the upgrade isn't a big deal, they do replenish after 31 days. Q: Does DCS: A-10C use copy protection/Activation? A: Yes, it uses the new user-friendly ProActive AAA Technology. You will no longer have a fixed number of activations, but in an effort to prevent piracy the system does limit the number of activations per month. Your DCS A-10C serial number is initially set to 8 activations and when they all are spent, 1 activation is added automatically once per 31 days (effectively "refilling" your serial number). ProActive AAA Technology does not install any drivers on your PC. It works as an integrated part of the DCS files but has no special privileges in your system. Nice info. Thanks for the heads up on my Fatali1ty Gamer.

That is odd. Did you have to change the BIOS Status "Use Legacy USB". Or is this an old mouse you really like and don't want to change to a newer model? I am assuming it isn't a PS2 mouse in that question.

This happens with the Redistributed files sometimes. You may need to delete and reinstall them from Microsoft's website https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003

How come my mk-82 / mk-84 never hits targets?
AtaliaA1 replied to oscar19681's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
You may want to take a look at ExessiveHeadspaces' Video on the TGP. -
What's even more odd is the lack of complaints about this issue. Not a lot of users running that campaign I guess. Even though it is a show stopper, really odd for such a bug.

Whats more accurate is AMD. doesn't like DX9, as stated in a press release about whether they would implement DX9 enhancement with the release of the new Processor. The answer was an emphatic "No".

These tests were done already. Use the info. from those that came before us, then enhance them as the sim. develops. Quest for higher FPS in DCS.

Nvidia control panel settings?
AtaliaA1 replied to Jacks's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
If you want one of the "Most Detailed" pursuits for the best FPS in DCS., You have to take a look here. 4 Part Series and very very informative. Macks Quest for the Best Fraps in DCS. -
In my case it would be, C:\Users\atalia\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Cofig. Yours will have your user name of course.

It's the 1Gig GPU you are using. Do you have access to another GPU to test this? There are other Posts with this error and they found it related to GPU Ram.

I personally type it on the fly, getting read back for anything I missed or want to double check. After awhile it just kind of fits in with the rest of the details of flying, You just get used to it. If I am in Hot on a TIC. (Troops in Contact) I would most likely have to wait for the read back request till things calmed down a bit, and fly out of the hot zone so that I can focus if needed or able.

Remember You can have 2 ver. of the Sim. installed on your PC. I have the latest and the 1.2.7 installed. It for me has the fewest bugs and still allows me plenty of fun in the sun. Should you want a temporary fix till it's repaired.
-
What ver. of the Sim.? That sounds like a Power Supply Error. Not maintaining enough juice kinda thing. Hard to evaluate this unless you have another one U could use to try and repeat the error. Once a friend built a system and dropped a screw behind the mother board with out knowing, and it caused this error. also a power plug that's unused touching the case can cause this. Is DCS the only program you run (for the most part) making it appear it is the only one that is suffering this? or you do use other taxing software or games?

What did they mean by 32 64 bit? Their program is 32bit?

Strange access to "Launcher.exe"...
AtaliaA1 replied to Anatoli-Kagari9's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I don't believe you have a virus. When was the last time you heard of a virus on a "Personal PC" unless it is an old one that is eliminated by most if not all AV on the market. That FW program is responsible for the "Supposed" attack on your system. To make you dependent on them. Typical reaction is OMG that program worked for me, now you want it. I would bet dollars to donuts that FW program is your culprit. I have been running my PC without AV software sense the early 2000's. I fallow solid PC practices i.e. Do not open emails from senders you do not know, don't click on items in web pages that are not Corporate pages. Links to sites that point to items of interest need legitimate names, for example a odd name then the website you are intending to visit. AV makers depend on the "Urban Myths" about virus'. The lack of knowledge in the use of a personal computer keeps them in business. Don't get me wrong there are "Hackers" out there, they aren't looking for some random Joe Blow to hack. There's no money in it for them. They want Corporate accounts with information to financial documents that allow them to steal money. Who cares about Grandmas' PC when the IRS and Visa are hack able. I do use Action Center and Security Essentials from Microsoft. less invasive and free. That FW Program needs your money. Think about all of the False Positives from the other programs out there. This company just started its offering and I bet they have those false positives neglected as the others did to increase there position in the market. Grandma will believe in the program after it defeats that false positive for sure. Use AV just don't be to quick to believe it is the "Bees Knees" is all I am saying. -
You are turning the "Power Off" of the other monitor? or You are using the system setting to turn it off? Either way is still an issue. In the settings of the Sim. do you have it set to use one monitor?

By only adding a larger SSD you can reinstall in the same PC with no penalties. It is only when changing more hardware that it costs you an install. It goes by a point system that I can't seem to find at the moment. If you want to be safe go ahead and deactivate and reinstall if you wish.

I've never seen his offerings on Youtube, assuming you are referring to Youtube. AccessiveHeadspace has some really good lessons on this among other subjects, if you want something to use until you find Tygers' offerings.

That's not my point. Why? was a "New OS." needed. I am aware you have it up and running now, as stated in your post. The relevance is to "Why?" this was needed. By the way, that i7 920 is a heck of a chip, it allowed us to pass on the other chips being offered by Intel and is still a good challenger to the new chips on the market now. I can't even imagine the amount of money this has saved us over the yrs. not having to update to their latest offerings.
-
I would be more concerned with why you needed to reinstall the OS. I understand the desire to start clean with DCS if you installed mods for it, the OS is another story entirely. sense you have done the clean install now is a good time to use good PC practices and use JSMG if mods are your thing. If you have an extra SSD with enough room on it, after installing all of the updates to GPU and other drivers and tools that make your PC your PC, You may want to use Intel Migration tools to add a back up copy of the OS to the SSD. for future OS reinstalls. It makes my life so much easier when I have to reinstall the OS. Avoiding the need to update the OS and download all of the drivers and software I use.
