    Multimonitor?

That code example is worth gold. Does the monitor config get parsed let's say when I change aircraft in an MP session or only upon initial loading of the sim? That is my convoluted way of asking whether I can do a unified monitor config that contains all my Helios capable aircraft in a way that they don't interfere with each other and that I can change aircraft in an MP session with my viewports syncing up with whatever I fly at the time?
  3. Well, the Volairsim is nice but everything is fixed! On Obutto, everything swivels and adjusts without having to get tools out once you completed the basic build. While I'd love to have armrests on my Obutto, the ones of the Volair seem to be an interesting solution. However, they seem to be pretty wide, even at the most inward position they seem to be quite wider than the seat itself which would mean you'd have to be a quite broad-shouldered guy to use them - in which case the seat will not be comfy for you as it hugs you from the rear and seat dimensions would have to correlate with your shoulder width. I plan to replace the seat on my obutto and mount a NobleChair Icon to it at some point which does come with armrests, if I succeed with that it will be the best of both worlds.
  4. Have mine now mounted to a wireless headset and being finally free of wires is an amazing thing
  5. Probably draw one and have it 3d printed?

    Neues HOTAS

Warthog braucht einiges an Zuwendung damit er wirklich so gut wird daß der Preis gerechtfertigt ist. Wirklich selig geworden bin ich mit dem Warthog Griff auf einer VPC T-50 Base. Draufschrauben, gut is. Aber wenn Du noch nicht genau weisst was Du willst, wart am besten auf die E3 kommende Woche, Thrustmaster hat da einiges angekündigt. Mal sehen was sie wirklich bringen.

  8. Thanks, that goes to my manual library.
  9. The FPS issues are gone!
  10. You, Sir, are a legend.
  11. If you make your monitor config as such that is spans both screens, you can't click outside of DCS by definition. Hence the Alt-Tab workaround. Resolution etc is all fine, it just compresses the GUI on the upper screen until I Alt-Tab out and back in. My guess is that is somehow miscalculates the aspect ratio wrong initially. I don't do windowed.
  12. Yes, I know that I could just rename the export targets for each individual instrument per plane to make them unique, but that becomes painful quite quickly. Since most Helios profiles are shared by others and they use standard names, I wanted to just do a monitor config for all and leave the rest as it is. But thanks for chiming in!
  13. I have them arranged in windows as separate screens, vertically. Inside DCS I have an overall resolution of 3840x3240, automatically calculated aspect ratio and inside my monitor config is a separate viewport for the GUI that restricts it to the upper 4K screen. It works brilliantly when already loaded into a mission, using mission editor and what have you, only when I start up DCS initially, the main menu is squished on the big upper screen and I have to alt-tab out and back in to get it to display properly. Seems like the main menu doesn't parse the screen config when initially loading or something. It's not a big deal overall, since I discovered the alt-tab workaround I can live with it, I just wanted to know if this little quirk is known to the devs.
  14. Hi, is there a way to include a bit of programming logic into the monitor config? Something like "if aircraft flown = Warthog -> create the following viewports" so I can unify my monitor config for Helios and being able to switch aircraft in the middle of an MP mission without having to reload anything (other than manually switching Helios profile)?
  15. VKB already have adapters for the WH grip and in case of VPC it is compatible out of the box, no adapter needed. So if the Hornet grip is compatible with the WH base, we are in a good place. But what if TM revised the WH base, put in a polished metal gimbal, teflon rings instead of the rubber crap... Now THEN it would be a hard choice.
  16. Obuttos are amazing, have been using them for years. The seat itself is a bit on the narrow side, so if you have broader shoulders it might be a tad uncomfortable in some cases. Pillows as neckrest help quite a bit. I'd love some armrests but have been unable to make that happen so far but the rather low position of the keyboard/mouse tray makes you comfy even in long sessions. In the US, Main Performance PC are the distributor if I recall correctly?
  17. I have been soooooo waiting for this, just got Helios up and running again after some performance issues a few patches back and it works flawlessly, can't wait to fly the Hornet with it, thanks CaptZeen!
  18. Hi, I am running a vertical dual screen setup (4K on top, 1080p touchscreen for Helios underneath) and when starting DCS, the GUI in the upper screen is squished to approx 2/3rds of the display area. The clickspots for each menu item is in the right place, just the picture is "compressed" against the upper portion of the screen. My monitor config should be ok as it works perfectly in the game itself (even F10 map is only on the big main screen), only in the launcher GUI things are off. Alt-tabbing out of the options menu and going back in seems to resolve the issue and is a viable workaround for now.
  19. Ok, I tried again with the current stable build and enabled all the bits and pieces step by step. The performance drop is gone, seems to have been patched behind the scenes. Finally Helios again!
  20. Look below on the second pic. Next to your FPV in the HUD there is now a CDI that also rotates. And you can read CSEL value and see the course line on any DDI/AMPCD that displays the HSI page with TACAN selected. But you only really need the HUD if you selected a course. According to the HUD view on the second picture, you selected the course line 180° off (pointing away from the boat instead towards it).
  21. Soooo looking forward to this.
  22. It is planned, we need to wait. See https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3506178&postcount=16
  23. Had that happen to me as well, thanks for the info with the AS.
  24. Same here, can reproduce.
  25. To truly make the spotting points equal in size for all users, we would need to account for screen size and seating distance from the screen besides only resolution. The true measure to equal that out would be how many angular minutes/seconds from the user POV a spot point fills and these are the values you'd need to calculate for that. Probably a lot of coding that would not yield that different results from the status quo. Doesn't feel that far off from RL to be honest.
