  1. Man, that looks amazing.
  2. Ahh, sorry. I didn't catch that.
  3. I might have to do the same.
  4. Make the pedals as soft as possible, that will help. You may also want to adjust your chair and desk setup.

If you have duel display, you can put the standard MS gamepad and controller properties monitor there and compare the input with the DCS ctrl-enter input. I've never noticed problems with the Huey, but I'm no expert.
  6. Thx, Silver.
  7. Maybe this is already answered, but what will happen to the current map? Will it run with the new engine?
  8. I definitely need this, too. I use a blue light cutter at night, which makes reading ally text impossible.
  9. No, everything should be modeled realistically as possible. There are no reasons not to apart from personal opinions. This is the entire point of a sim.
  10. Thank you again. Can't wait.
  11. Will edge bring co-op cockpits?
  12. Thank you, SiTh.
  13. Is there an official edge thread somwhere I can read?
  14. Just tested this on the open beta. I flew from Batumi all the way up to Nalchik (was testing something else) and decided to try a restart once I got there. Manually shut down completely, restarted and got back up in the air with no problems.
  15. Becauase the trend points to then being converted into more accurate sims as time progresses.
  16. This is a sim, not a game. Everything should be modeled as accurately as possible. Nothing should be done for game balancing purposes. It is up to mission designers to set the missions up to be balanced. Players and admins should also aim to balance missions as much as possible.
  17. I'd love to see the ability to reload / repair ground units. Transport units like the Mi-8 would really appreciate this.
  18. Would this be possible to do via scripts? There must be functions to call up the airframe state, functions to load and save the data into a textfile etc? Perhaps a modder could implement this? I'd love to see a civilian campaign for the Mi-8 similar to Take On Helicopters.
  19. Radio commuunications built into the game by standard would be huge. Armas teamspeak / acre implementation would be the best example. This is even more important for multicrew. The ability to hear the crew talk over the intercom and overhear them using radios would be great. On a side note, has multicrew been confirmed for edge's release?
  20. You'll be fine with a twist stick. Just make sure to chain the rudder to the trimmer. I can't remember if that is on by default, but it'll make things easier in flight. Once you have the controls set up and have got used to the basics, try and get online with someone who can help you out more. There's plenty of good advice on the forums. And feel free to ask questions!
  21. Hate to say this, but for now you may want to consider learning how to do it manually. The start-up sequence for the 8 is pretty simple once you've practiced a few times. It's also a great feeling. However, your original point stands. If it isn't restarting I'm guessing it's a bug with the script. I've never had problems doing it manually. My first guess would be that some of the power switches are not switched on / off correctly. Perhaps you need to use the pagedown key manually after shutdown and page up on start up?
  22. Arma is great for this, as mentioned above. Join a large multiplayer server with forced teamspeak.
  23. Scripts are the best way to simulate scouts. Playing one without higher levels of terrain detail wouldn't be fun.
  24. But to be honest, I'm pretty much up for any helicopters!!!
  25. We all know the Mi-24 has to be next. Else they'll be a riot!
