  1. That sounds like an awful, eh, awesome idea. :D
  2. Haha, and make a video of it. That would go viral. :D
  3. wait, what? You suffered for two MONTHS getting sick every time? :O Holy cow! I applaud your dedication! :)
  4. Pretty much this, I think.
  5. Hihi, ja da sind ein paar so Systeme dabei.

    Geiles Foto!

Oh ja, das ist tief fliegen. Nice.
  7. Same here. One reason why I am somewhat reluctant is because I occasionally experience vertigo. In real life flying it takes about an hour of circling thermals in a glider to get me sick, but I only need half an hour in some PC games. Years ago it NEVER happened to me. But it does now, since around the year 2010. Dunno why exactly. I feel sick after playing some FPS games very quickly, despite trying to use the usual tactics to avoid it (disable head-bopping and motion blur, enough light in the room, get some space between you and the screen, such things). It hasn't happened in 3rd person games or flight sims (yet?), except in the first few weeks when I started using a TrackIR until I got used to it. I would be SO angry to buy an expensive VR device and get sick. Bad resolution contributes to that, so I'll wait for the next generation. I'd also like to have a VR glove or something (and no, no clunky Vive thingie that I can't use to grab my HOTAS), VR + mouse is meh IMO. Oh, and last but not least: I am used to my touchscreens with Helios, I'd hate to ditch those...

    I-16

Nothing new yet since what I wrote in post #191 As far as we know from the existing videos both the AFM and cockpit were progressing, there is a pilot figure that was being worked on, and the external model was finished.
  9. Yeah, I mainly meant the ugly spine thing and CFTs, and also the somewhat ugly blocky thing in the tail fin. So yeah, I would be happy with that last one Tirak posted I think.
  10. But... it is SO ugly. I'd prefer a block 40, it can also shoot HARMs
  11. me too. :)
  12. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! ;)

    Mirage F1

    Thanks for the update!
  14. Wow, that means even bigger, more impressive change logs next time! :)
  15. What if there was an update and nobody noticed?! Is that the same as if there was no update? :D No seriously, be patient. It might happen any minute, or maybe not. :)
  16. Glad you sorted it out. :)
  17. Mann, vielleicht muss ich auf dem Server auch mal vorbeischauen. Bisschen Formation fliegen mit Leuten in meiner Zeitzone hört sich gut an. :D
  18. Yeah, really great one! Thanks for posting.
  19. Forum hiccup made me double post.... One additional thing so this post is good for something: Check if there are decent drivers for Win10! I assume there are, but better safe than sorry. The rest of your specs are equal or better than mine in every regard.
  20. I haven'tnoticed a significant drop in FPS with my two Lilliputs, and I have a 770. You are on the safe side I guess. :)
  21. Hehe, yeah, it is pretty hilarious. :D
  22. The word is based on a popular console game called Katamari Damacy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katamari_Damacy In that game you have to roll around, accumulating more and more material, avoiding stuff that is bigger than you, until you are huge and can swallow everything. I've first seen it as a word for merging several threads into one huge thread a few years ago. One huge thread swallows all the small ones, which is similar to the gameplay of that game.
  23. As for the dates: ED (and not only ED) has become that inaccurate with release dates (modules delayed for years without a good explanation, for one reason or another, doesn't really matter) that it became a running gag among some people. So they stopped giving dates alltogether. As for the updates: There were regular updates either promised or given by several third parties and ED at some point, but most of them stopped giving. There are a few problems with giving updates: 1. say something people like and the hype train starts with unrealistic expections. Disappointment follows, like "THIS WAS A PROMISED FEATURE! LIARS!!!" 2. say something not cool and the hate train starts 3. say too much and you might be promising something you can't deliver 4. say too little and people demand you say more 5. Have a fixed date for updates and people start yelling at you when you miss or delay one. "WHERE IS MY UPDATE!!!???" EDIT: I forgot mentioning "saying nothing". Some people constantly ask whether you are still alive (rightly so, we have seen 3rd parties vanishing), others claim to know you are dead. Either one is not good publicity. I personally prefer a "We are still on it, nothing cool to show though" once a month over the silence that we experience most of the time. It is a pity that people in the community reacted like a-holes to the cool updates we got. Oh, and just two examples: Razbam and Polychop do communicate quite well in my opinion.
  24. I think it is safe to assume that BST get all the help they need from ED already. Actually I was pretty surprised to see it wasn't BST who first implemented multicrew. I expect the Huey and the Mi-8 to get it soon.
  25. Yeah, I read the thing some years ago and I can recommend it as well.
