  1. Looks good! :)
  2. Yeah, it works, but no lights it seems, and no OLS yet.
  3. Yandex translates your post as "what mod?" but I assume that you are asking about the status of this mod. I'd like to know that as well. :)
  4. I don't. Even native speakers sometimes make errors like those. Btw I think my post was correct, but nevermind. It is late and I have to go to sleep.
  5. I guess the people writing "dimention" were probably the same ones who thought "aircrafts" was proper English. ;)
  6. Talk is cheap.
  7. Then I probably misunderstood this post. Might have to do with too little caffeine in the morning.... I would't mind everyone (regardless of the reason) to stop posting links to those pictures. They just cause people to hope for something that most likely will never happen.
  8. Oh come on, that was 2008, so not only before DCSW but before DCS:A-10C (standalone). "Everything is subject to change" in this case most likely means it was scrapped completely and we will never see it, and for the sake of mental health we should stop believing anything else until there is an official announcement. So please guys, stop bringing up that damn Viper. We should be thankful we will probably get an F/A-18C at some point during the next two years. And even that might still change if you ask me. Because "EVERYTHING".
  9. Hard to tell because we don't know about the license parameters.
  10. Looks cool! Btw: I hope the other developers follow your example and one day also model the ground power units, chocks, and stuff like that for their planes. SO immersive, I love it. :)
  11. I am basically in the same situation as the OP. Result: I don't play campaign missions. So yeah, I'd love to have a save function as well. Not mega-high priority, but it would be nice.
  12. Hi and Welcome to the forums! Perhaps it is your Field of View options, or the effect is caused by lighting or something. The cockpit geometry has not changed as far as I know.
  13. Not trying to be an ass here, but that statement doesn't have to be true, you know... It depends on loads of factors and can change from 99% to 1% any time because everything is subject to change.
  14. I think they should do a basic world map. Not even stock FSX quality, without houses and so on, based on some Open Street Map or something. About 10-20GB big. With a few airports (basically copy Kolkhi or so) around the world (a few on every continent) so you can just takeoff and fly somewhere. That way realism fans could do realistic distances, and everyone else wouldn't care because they never see the map, because they start on the maps they bought. It will probably look fine on high altitudes anyway. If some mission designer places objects there only he is to blame. If you have a DLC map such as Nevada, it is loaded once you get "near", if you don't have it nothing happens, except online. When online: The mission designer can determine needed DLCs, and you cannot join, so you can't have an advantage by flying a mission over an "empty" map with wrong elevation and a basic texture. A simple window tells you.
  15. + 6.022*10²³ This was reported again and again, for years. To be honest I lost any hope that it will ever change years ago.
  16. Do canopies cast shadows now? EDIT: see this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=147927

    Noob needs gas

Tanker is broken at the moment. It is possible to tank, even to the point where it is rather easy once you get used to it, but it is much harder than it should be and not realistic. We can only hope for a fix soon. EDIT: Of course you can try regardless of that. If you make it it is a nice "hard mode" training. Once the behaviour is fixed you will be able to refuel with ease.
  18. ...dreaming about those big helis right now. Aerial refueling with a CH-53 from a C-130 would certainly add something new to the game. :)
  19. CH-53 or Puma? Hell Yeah! CH-53 FTW!

    SHIPS

I think I would buy it for 30 dollars if it is nicely done. Gameplay matters. Otherwise I'd still buy it, but not for more than 10 dollars or so.
  21. It isn't. It goes Mach 1.2 at altitude IIRC So not great supersonic speeds, just a bit. Almost subsonic. :D
  22. Sounds interesting, but I think I don't get yet how you would handle several tankers / airfields.

    F-15E?

I wouldn't exactly say it is "no problem", because it is a LOT of work, especially when we are not talking about systems that mirror each other (like in the trainer aircraft). Doable? I think so, yes. But the complexity is an order of magnitude above what we have seen from Razbam until now. Especially if they don't test MP integration on another, more simple, plane before the F-15E.
  24. Not really interested in more fighters of that vintage to be honest. But I voted: - F9F Panther/Cougar becasue of carrier plane + used in Korea - MiG-17 because used in Vietnam, first russian jet with afterburner could be interesting. That being said (again, just thinking aloud): With a Korea map this could actually be fun, we have F-86, MiG-15, and hopefully soon Meteor and Vampire (I think that one was used as well, not sure), and a A-1 in the works by modders. A F9F would fit there well, plus it is a carrier plane for 1950s carrier operations. But well, I think I'd still prefer modern stuff.
  25. +1 to the whole topic. I tend to sum this up under "AI" when talking about DCSW, but yeah, ground units are very dumb. To me it isn't as bad for a flight sim as air units being dumb, but it could use some work.
