Ok, just saw the label about the track file, here is one. tad.trk

Hey, probably just something stupid, but no matter if I use for example the instant action airstart "free flight" mission or if I start up the hog myself, I have nothing on my TAD, no aircraft symbol, range rings, waypoints, nothing.. Any ideas what I´m missing ? Thanks, Wolf

Sooo, if I wanted to give a module as a gift and the person already owns the module, would I be warned about that fact during the purchasing process? I don´t want to ask as to not ruin the surprise, but I also don´t want to burn money in case the person then would have two licenses for the module... Thanks, Wolf

Hi guys, I would really like to try this with a buddy cooperatively with the P-47, but we can´t find a way. We edited an existing spitfire into a P47, and the result is that as soon as a ground mission is started that "A2G easy is active" ( or any other a2g mission we try) is repeated over and over again but never actually starts. While troubleshooting we found that even just opning the mission in the editor and saving it without changing anything creates this behaviour. Using just the stock mission it works. Any help?

In the Operations Guide, page 49 and following ;-) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/documentation/dcs_supercarrier_operations_guide/

Tanker now responds with altitude and airspeed when asking for rejoin.

Module Manager shows wrong purchase.

The SU-33 is part of the Supercarrier package, you can install it. -
Yep, same here, I always have to make sure the TrackIR "sees" the Trackclip (or something else, sometimes I just quickly hold my fingernails in front of it lol) before launching DCS.

So it's indeed rather mysterious, not only for me...

Hi pilots, as we know some of the new carrier atc has been already implemented for testing purposes. Does anybody know what exactly to do to trigger them/make them available ? What I always get is "Signal is charly" etc when I´m overhead. Only once, in multiplayer, and only after a bolter I had the chance to call the ball and get LSO calls. So I boltered again a few times on the following flights to get it back, but then I only got communications about weather etc and "see me at 10", but nothing more happened when I made that call... So, anybody in the know? Or is it pure luck/coincidence ? I´m asking here in the Hornet section because I only got the above examples (except overhead) in the Hornet, never in the Cat...

I´m getting "502 Bad Gateway" when running the updater edit: Nevermind, works now
-
I also tried that these days in MP and it did not work. The phrase was recognized correctly in VA, but VA said "AIRIO not available" or similar. In cockpit it was as if I hadn´t said anything at all, no message, no beep. Other AIRIO orders worked. In SP it works.

Works  Danke

Hi Heatblur, please please pretty please with a cherry on the top, get rid of the "mandatory music" again. I don´t get it, you guys implemented a really cool walkman so everyone could listen to meteor if he wants to, or change the soundfiles or just use a stereo at home to listen to something else, or just choose to not have music at all, so why force us now to listen to the same song everytime we play a mission? Only tried "Flogger Faceoff" I think it was, so I don´t know if that´s the only one with "mandatory music" now. Would be really nice if you could turn that off again. Thanks guys

Thank´s for your answer IronMike. Might it be possible that Jester´s sound gets a higher priority so that for example when he has to say something a jet flying by in some distance get´s muted instead? But that would probably be an ED/DCS thing to implement I presume.

I don´t even get to lock a target. Even when there´s definitley no target locked, right after mission start etc. and I issue any radar related command, like scan range auto or whatever I get this message. I tried "break lock" and everything else I could think of, including jumping in the back myself and turning everything off and on again etc, but when the problem is there then it´s there to stay for the rest of the mission.
-
So, what´s up with this "Radar is in Lock state" whenever you issue radar related commands? Can´t say when it happens and when not, more often then not it does, and it´s pretty much unusable that way...

After reading your post I did the following: Reset the campaign with "firstmission.bat" without DCS running, started DCS, reset and started the campaign there, started the mission -> Jester quiet Ended the mission, accepted the results and let a new mission be generated, started that mission -> Jester talks. So I can confirm grant´s findings so far:thumbup:

I just placed a cold and dark Tomcat on the Stennis in the mission editor and everything worked ok several times. Then I started the DCE campaign mission again and Jester was quiet again. In both cases I tried "Startup" before as well as after connecting ground power and air supply. So it seems it´s not (only) the carrier cold start but something else.
-
Ah, good that you narrowed down the problem to "carrier coldstart". Started the DCE Tomcats over the Gulf Campaign and encountered the problem. Thought it was the cold start and quickly checked with the coldstart mission on the land, there it worked. Didn´t get around to do more testing so far. Good to know it´s not just me

Exactly what the man above me said! I don´t even want to fly singleseaters anymore right now, and I don´t even want to fly non-Heatblur aircraft anymore. I had a moment like you described when Jester just laughed his behind off after a "landing" or bolter, can´t remember, he didn´t even say anything :-D And yes, seeing "yourself" in the mirror helps a huge amount with immersion, even without VR. Having said that, sooner or later we´re going to have heard it all several times, so I hope they will give him a few new jokes or remarks from time to time. Oh, and if there´s ever going to be a DCS: Tornado, please please let it be made by Heatblur.
-
Thanks, but I still don´t get it ;-) Maybe someone can jump in and tell me (for Dummies...) what exactly I should say if I want the Datalink set to E3 or the carrier as host radio or if I want Jester´s radio set to another frequency ?
-
Exactly what Shimmergloom said, I´d also love the ability to have the wheel as a backup. Another thing: I just set everything up, but I can´t figure out how to get Jester to set up datalink. I suppose the key is in the sentence "F-14 radio tuning is done using the regular plugin commands (Select)", but I´m a bit lost...
