  1. DCS freeze when quitting mission Hey Folks, I'm narrowing down a possible lead on the occasional problem of DCS freezing when quitting a mission ie. DCS never shows the the in-game debrief screen, so you have to kill it with Task Manager. I recently completed the 1971 Indo-Pak War latest DCE campaign (converted by Eagle01) and never had this issue with over 20 missions flown. I am now trying the "Tiger over PG" latest DCE, this problem happens every time, even though it is installed correctly (latest OB) and generates missions correctly (yes, I have edited my missionscripting.lua file). On a Debrief Debug, I noticed a problem: line 46 of Master_Debrief.lua as shown in the attached screenshot. It is calling a "nil value", which indicates to me a script is not writing correctly maybe, therefore causing DCS to enter a useless loop. Now, I have no idea of coding etc, so maybe this may point such knowledgeable people in the right direction and compare the scripts in "Tiger over PG" and "1971 Indo-Pak War". Here's hoping  Cheers! Mission End Screen.bmp
  2. They are available in the Mission Editor drop-down lists to be put into user made missions. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  3. Sounding brilliant Surrexen, I can't wait to try the new mechanics out. Well done mate, hope all is well. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  4. I'm not quite sure if this is entirely related to your problem Koros, but check the elevation provided in the flight plan for the target waypoint when the mission is generated. It is usually 7000+ m (over 21000 ft). I usually change it manually by getting elevation from the F10 map to put the TGP in the right area. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  5. Hey Folks, I thought I would have a go at the latest Indo-Pak Sabre campaign on latest OB. All installed successfully and working, however, one thing I did notice is the EWR Axeman frequency is not being assigned to a radio slot for the Sabre. Therefore, you have no access to the GCI service. It appears ATC and Package frequencies are generally being assigned ok to Channels 1 and 2. Cheers! [emoji1634] Edit: Ok, I got it working by editing the "radios_freq_compatible.lua" file. Both the Sabre and MiG-19p max radio frequencies were set too low. I changed them both to Max 400 MHz, ran FirstMission.bat to reset the campaign and the ATO appears to be assigning the frequencies to subsequent radio channels.
  6. Yay..... ok, got it to work. Many thanks for the help. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  7. Hhmmm... definitely followed the above process for 8 different targets, but the bombs impacted in pairs, indicating only one set of coordinates per station were transferring to the bombs upon pickle. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  8. Ok thanks Zyll, will give your procedure a try. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  9. So technically, each BRU55 rack now has 2 coordinates supplied ie TOO1 and TOO2. My problem appears when pickling each bomb. Often the second bomb comes off the same rack, even if I have pressed STEP to the other station (I was trying to release TOO1 from each station first to avoid asymmetric load). In addition, the eventual 4 bombs don't drop on 4 separate coordinates. So what is the process for pickling 4 bombs from 2 stations? Many thanks Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  10. I think the TGP is always in a state of transferring coordinates to the MSN page, until you "Undesignate" (NWS button) after the last bomb...-do not press STEP again until after Undesignating after the last bomb coords, as it will overwrite onto the first as the start of a new cycle. The only thing I am having trouble with is pickling multiple bombs from the same pylon (after I have inputted all separate coords) in either TOO1 or TOO2 for each pylon, as they come of the same pylon with the same coordinates even after pressing STEP to change pylon. IDK?? Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  11. Agreed, the Syria map is gorgeous Well done Ugra and ED. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  12. Hey Folks, It seems AI can't use TGP to locate and engage any ground targets at night, but they can during the day. They just fly their flight plan, making the waypoint calls, even if you tell them to "engage and rejoin". This is on the latest TF-71 Hornet (Caucasus) supercarrier DCE running the latest OB. The same was happening on the previous OB. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  13. Ahhh copy that. I had a suspicion it was false by default. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  14. You may need to activate zeus in the Mission Editor trigger settings. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  15. 3) Also make sure you are in A-A hud mode. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  16. I've noticed this happens when the carrier has gone into recovery mode due to AI flights needing to land. Usually an indication is the Cat 3 and Cat 4 personnel move to the edge, away from the landing area. Once the recovery completes, it all goes back to normal, so yes, you can sometimes miss your take off time, as do AI flights in your package, as recovery takes precedence. Cheers! 17. There are a few other threads mentioning the problem, but generally for the known GBU-24 issues. I think it may be a temporary guidance problem for all lantirn lasing at the moment with GBU 10/12/24. I think maybe test with buddy or jtac lasing. Edit: It could also include the GBU-16 too, something to do with the bang-bang guidance. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  18. Yes, I can confirm this is happening too. I was trying to lase ships in the Persian Gauntlet campaign. I was lucky to get partial hit about 10m behind a Molnya ffg with a GBU-10, just damaged it. No other passes got close. All AI dropped bombs missed as well. Cheers! 19. I tend not to tell him to align via the Jester wheel, I just let the process take its course with no input until Jester says "Ready to taxi". I think he will align the INS to "fine" by default. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  20. Ahhh, ok, that explains it. Many thanks. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  21. Yes, I waited a minute, nothing happened. Though looking in ME and unzipping the .miz, there doesn't seem to be any MOOSE or AIRBOSS loaded. On latest OB. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  22. @Florence201 Hey mate, I just tried the latest version SC-no mods Mission 1, all appeared to go ok, however, a couple of triggers didn't seem to work or were not in time. Did you keep AIRBOSS in? I noticed airboss sound files in the miz, but I never got any airboss F10 menu, and the fleet tanker (assuming airboss) never spawned. I did hit escape at mission start before chosing the slot to see if the script would load. Otherwise, all of the target and deck configuration triggers worked ok. Well done [emoji106] Cheers! 23. Hey Folks, @tigair, great work with this project, well done! I'm trying to make a simple SEAD mission using SkyNet, Wrench's carrier script (got that working ok), and Hervirek's PG Template (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3310678/) as a test. Hervirek has provided a setup lua in the download called IRANtsky.lua. Trying to follow the instructions on the GitHub, I have loaded MiST, loaded the skynet-iads-compiled.lua, and IRANsky.lua as per the example screenshots. I can't get SkyNet to activate. Could you please have a look at the attached mission to see what I have done wrong? Many thanks Scotch SkyNet PG_Test.miz
  24. Thanks Avalanche, no problems at all mate, glad to help. The dynamic component in this mission is fantastic, well done [emoji106]. I'll try the new version tonight. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  25. Hey Avalanche, I was in the F-14, so I was given ADF 355° on 355.525, which I got Jester to plug into his radio in DF mode, but nothing showed on the HSI. Looking at that frequency now though it could be a typo as a previous engagement had 355.250 for the frequency. Anyhoo, I looked on the map and saw two bandits roughly 70nm north of Nellis so flew up there with the instructor and joined them orbiting around each other at 25k. After the pop up text "Ensure you are fenced in and ready to fight" (or similar), nothing further triggered. As you say, I probably didn't hit the correct trigger zone. Cheers!
