  1. I believe the actual values to enter are in metres per second. So you will have to do a conversion from desired knots. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  2. Ok, will do when I get home from nightshift. I also opened the firstmission.miz and the ongoingmission.miz in ME and changed the default Stennis speed to 10 knots on all waypoints. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  3. Nvm, I tinkered with the Saved Games path and it now works as intended. Many thanks Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  4. So I managed to solve the "not being able to launch" problem by reducing the carrier speed so the aircraft wasn't being thrown around on the shuttle. However, I am still getting the error when exiting the first mission, with DCS freezing up and not giving the dos pop-up window to proceed. I have edited the missionscripting.lua. and set my Saved Games path in line 7 of camp_init.lua Any ideas? Cheers!
  5. Mbot helped me out with this too. You will need to open the .bat files individually and change the path to your dcs install. Mine is working now. Use notepad++ if you can. Otherwise notepad should be ok Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  6. Hey Mav, It's in the DCE folder you intstalled in mods/tech.... So ...../mods/tech/DCE/Scripts/Mission Scripts Its called CarrierIntoWindScript.lua Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  7. Quote: "Also, in order to use the bat files, you have to edit them as well with a text editor first. The bat files need to point to your actual DCS installation directory to use DCS's LUA interpreter. This is not required for regular campaign play, only if you want to use the bat files by hand." Ahh, I didn't do this which is probably why it wasn't working - getting the "device not ready" prompt. I'll try this tonight after work. Many thanks again @MBot Cheers! 8. Hi Mbot, Many thanks for creating these dce campaigns. I started this campaign from scratch and noticed 2 issues. 1- The carrier seems too fast and won't let the tomcat hook up to the shuttle properly (it keeps bumping so won't launch after the sulute - I think related to the deck sliding issue). I have found the carrier into wind script and have reduced Vmax and wind over deck. I just don't have time now to test. 2- When exiting mission, the cmd screen does not show up to skip results etc. Only an error screen. I am running latest openbeta, I have changed the path in campinit.lua, and have edited the missionscripting.lua as per instructions. Also when I try to run the skipmission.bat, a cmd screen shows up saying "device not ready", to that effect. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  9. At a bit of an educated guess then, I would think the Tomcat radios will not be able to go to those lower frequencies, even if Jester indicates in the affirmative that he has "tuned" the radio. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  10. Hmmm, I'm not sure what's going on then. I'll try to test it tonight. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  11. Maybe try getting Jester to change to AM (or FM if you are on AM). Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  12. Hey Reflected, they look brilliant mate. Very authentic looking and a good fit for the time period and theatre. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  13. Did you try joining as spectator first for a few seconds to allow scripts to initialise, then choose a slot? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  14. The Cat has been out all night, time to get back to the house lol.... Cheers!
  15. Could it be the pilot died of hypoxia? Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  16. Hey mate, good to hear you sorted it out [emoji106]. I'm happy to be of help. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  17. No probs, mine was a single player mission. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  18. Sounds fantastic mate, I can't wait to see a new campaign for the Cat, as there aren't many around. I'm happy to help test when available. Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  19. Hey CZ, I had a chance to test this out, just a quick mission with a line of tanks on PG. All appears to be working ok. My steps: 1- Ensure TGP and IMAVs warmed up, put TGP in FLIR mode, MAV view on left DDI. 2- Sensor Select Switch right to make TGP SOI on the right DDI. 3- Sensor Select Switch right again to put TGP in PTRK (point track mode). 4- Slew TGP to target, once it has locked, press TDC to designate. 5- MAV view on left DDI automatically slewed to and locked the target. If it didn't do this, Sensor Select Swith left to make MAV SOI, then uncage. The IMAV slewed to and locked. 6- Pickle. So, maybe check your key and HOTAS bindings to see if something "doubled up" after the update, eg TDC depress, SSS, cage/uncage. Hope you get it working, Cheers! 20. Lol... [emoji23], no probs, I'm off to work for a 10 hour shift [emoji24] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  21. Ahhh..... ok, I haven't flown the Hornet for a while, so I will have to do a test flight maybe tonight (UTC +8) to see if my install is doing that too. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  22. At the moment, I believe the Mav seeker is slaved to the TGP when a target/waypoint is designated, so with TGP SOI, you designate the target with TDC press, which will also move the Mav seeker to that point (uncaged). I have found you need fine adjustments to get a lock, so with Mav as SOI, you need to undesignate, then you can slew to the target you want. It is a bit clunky at the moment, however, ED are working on more TGP functionality, so hopefully soon you should be able to designate with TGP and not have to do anything with the MAV until it is in range to get its own lock. 23. After you uncage the Maverick seeker head to the designated point, you need to "undesignate" with the pinky button (if you are using a Warthog HOTAS), then you will be able to slew the Maverick seeker head around. There are 2 settings for the TDC slew in the Hornet. Realistic (you depress the TDC while you slew, then realease to attempt lock), and unrealistic (you can slew the TDC around without depress, the Warthog mini-stick must use this method as it is a hardware limitation). Hope that helps. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah, it's a bit of a quirk when installing/reinstalling modules, the brake axes seem to be default to on. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  25. Yeah, she's a pretty heavy bird when fully loaded so it takes a bit of thrust to overcome the initial rolling friction (sorry, I can't think of the proper engineering/scientific name: inertia maybe?). Just check your brakes axes aren't the wrong way around ie braking when you are not pressing toe brakes, you may need to invert them if you have are using pedals with toe brakes. Cheers!
