  1. I have acces as of today. So whoever is responsible thanks. I have not heard back after sending an email last week but now I can access the forum, sooo...
  2. Seems you can load smoke and weapons on the civilian P-51 :D checking right now if you can use them xD Edit: it's just the regular P-51D model with adjusted weight, nothing more. So if you want the TF-51 model you need to use the TF-51D. checkbox just adjusts weight and disables the guns as of right now.
  3. Why would that be in there? I can just place a TF-51D in the Editor and compare to the actual P-51D. Why the additional (civ checkbox) TF-51D?
  4. Nope. P-51D is 7824lbs empty TF-51D is 7251lbs empty The wingtanks take 1105lbs of fuel So the P-51D Mustang is 8929lbs (68% fuel) without gun ammo and the TF-51D Mustang is 8356lbs with full tanks
  5. I created a new mission and the problem is still there ... Edit: The issue seems to be the wind. Why is it that strong winds make the DCs P-51D explode? I hope thy'll fix this.
  6. So I wanted to fly the Mustang again and loaded an old freeflight mission, saved it again to avoid problems with the mission and tried to start the Mustang but as soon as I hit the starter the Mustang exploded. I can't remember this happening before. Reproducable 100% of the time I uploaded the mission file and a track of what's happening. wtf.trk P-51DFreeflight.miz
  7. First of all, 20-30s lase time is way too much and will probably cause the bomb to miss. Use 10-14 seconds, not more (I use 12s). What you want to do is go to the DSMS page, hit PROF, select the weapon profile you want to change, make your changes and save. You need to use the HOTAS or the UFC (not sure which rocker key it actually is I'd guess it's the SEL one) to select the profile to have it ready immediately otherwise you need to select the profile via the profile page (if you select the weapon it will be the standard profile) in your DSMS. The fastest way to change profiles is certainly with your HOTAS because you keep your hands where they're supposed to be
  8. Or, you know, just make HUD SOI (Coolie Hat up short) and change to the weapon profile with DMS left/right. You might need to hit the MMCB first if you did not select another weapon before but it's certainly the best way because you keep your Hands On Throttle And Stick ;) :D
  9. Did you unplug stick and throttle before installing TARGET? If not, disconnect them, reinstall TARGET and plug them in again.
  10. Based on your post I went ahead and put my curve to zero. Guess what? Aerial refueling became actually easier for me because the airplane is snappier close to the center (I always trim down a little bit to avoid the center - no deadzone on the WH) and does exactly what I tell it to do. IMO the jump from 10 to 0 is no biggie if your stick is good. However, I am very expierenced when it comes to flying the A-10C in DCS (probably more than 400 flight hours in the last two years, most of it in MP in formation with other players) and I still stand by my statement that a curve helps when you start out. It will help you get into formation flying more easily and when you don't have a good stick that's mayby a bit wobbly it can make all the difference in the world (I still have a cheap Logitech and w/o a curve it's a pain in the ass compared to the HOTAS WH). As you rightfully pointed out this is an entertainment product and not R/L and in the beginning, a curve will keep frustration to a minimum.
  11. You wish :D With her son or w/o?^^ Ok, I managed to get the monday after the 23rd off so I'll definitely be there. I'm sure I can help a little with A/A refuel tips if there is the need...
  12. Did you press NWS after the disconnect? The canopy rail indicator needs to show "READY" before you can take fuel. Here's a guide I wrote some time ago: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=170423297 Also, get that curve down asap. the plane must feel extremely sluggish close to the center and extremely twitchy on the outer range of the stick. Get that at least down to 30. Maybe you should just try to fly in a stable position behind the tanker without the boom to distract you and only when you manage to do that move on to actually refueling your plane.
  13. Reducing curves as you become better is a fairly easy thing to adapt to in my experience. A small curve on your stick makes things a lot easier when you start out with formation flying. As you become better at it you can always reduce it step by step down to zero. It keeps frustration to a minimum when you start out and when you get better you can reduce it step by step. That's how I did it. I would NOT recommend starting out without a curve. I probably wouldn't be able to refuel at all today if I didn't use a 25 curve in the beginning because there's a high chance that I would've given up in frustration. As I said, I'm down to 10 on my stick (no curve on the throttles) and I'm going to reduce it down to 5 and then zero. But for beginners I would highly recommend a curve of 20-30 if they have problems. It makes things A LOT easier in the beginning.
  14. Well, I'll try to be there. Starting before 22:00GMT would be ideal. 23:00GMT would be ok I guess but any later than that and I probably won't be able to make it.
  15. Ok. First of all, 50 on the curve is waaaay to much. 30 should give you a nice startingpoint. I started with 25 and I'm now down to 10. After a longer break I usually change it back to 15-20 until I'm comfortable with more direct input again. Also: DO NOT CHASE THE BOOM! Write that down. It's important. Concentrate on the tanker and just keep the boom in your peripheral vision once you made contact. Always look at the tanker. It's formation flying and you're in formation with the tanker. The boom moves and if you try to adjust your position in relation to the boom and not the tanker you can usually start again Concerning your other problem I have no Idea. I never experienced that. I had a buddy of mine abort rejoin last night and I was able to connect without problem. If everything else fails restart the mission ;)
  16. but that doesn't mean there is no room to improve. I would like to join but I'm not sure if I can make it. 1. It's my sisters birthday 2. Time zone constraints
  17. Interesting. I usually just roll out with minimal breaking so it doesn't really matter if anti skid is on or off. Depending on the aircrafts' weight and length of the runway I sometimes need no breaks at all to get down to ~20knots
  18. Keep it for the next beta release?
  20. Outside view in the A-10C is groundspeed in knots. You can easily check with the TAD
  23. I was under the impression that ED is developing the FW 190 D-9
  24. Oder Tanker auf 25000ft, 250kn groundspeed, nacht und dann mit 6 mavs, 2 GBU-10, 6Mk82, 7FFARs, TGP, 2 Sidewinders und ECM Pod versuchen zu tanken^^
  25. Hauptmenu?
