@KlarSnow The CAS and PTC are connected with the same hydro pipes to the servos, within the PRCA, but as you say, turn off the CAS and there's barely any noticable difference, auto trim still works perfectly. It was most noticeable in the T/O run, which was more difficult to rotate, but turning off the CAS, was less dramatic than I expected. Thanks for the reply. ..

The CAS and PTC are connected mechanically, electrically, and hydraulically together, within the Pitch/Roll Channel Assembly, to control the hydraulic servos to the flight surfaces. They are connected to the Pitch Ratio and Roll Ratio switches and all work together, within the PRCA.. ..
  3. SEAD/DEAD, who needs a rocket, who cares? Harrier or Eagle, both are capable of dealing with SAM in DCS. Slice away as SA 11 site launches a missile. Love these 97's. There's a SAM site in there somewhere. ..
  4. Bare in mind. The speeds for a normal T/O are calculated at 10 deg. for a plane without conformal tanks. With CFT it's 12 deg. ..

Pitch Trim Compensator automatically trims the aircraft, unlike a conventional trimmer, which trims out stick forces. ..

Normal mode is PITCH CAS ON, PITCH RATIO AUTO. ..
  7. @River If you use the correct speed for weight T/O, rotate aft stick for 1 second to 12 degrees, with a little practice you should have no pitch problems at take off. ..

F-15 has auto trim and does not require manual trim after airspeed, thrust or configuration changes.
  9. As I suspected. Thanks. ..
  10. Similarly. Nil Wind. ASL snaps to the right when aircraft dips below target height, 570'. ASL remains to the right. ASL snaps to target diamond when target height, 570', is attained. Is this correct behaviour? ..
  11. The low flypast has gone, but the B-52 is as impessive as ever. Love the Crab roll. Check the runway lights. ..
  12. Around 1992 was my visit to RIAT. Memories are a low B-52 flypast and begging for teabags from fellow campers, when I'd forgotten to bring any. Many hours spent at Mildenhall, (Willows) Lakenheath, and Marham my local airfields, and Holbeach bomb range watching A-10 and F-15E pop up bombing and staffing targets.. Regards. ..
  13. @Iceman555 I use CCRP for Toss bombing. .95 mach. Pull up at 5 nm at 2.5 g for auto release. For clusters a little bit less distance. For the SA 10 site, target the Track Radar. This will disable the site. I usually protect it with short range sams. For retarded low level, I do more or less the same as you, except maybe a bit lower. I made a lot of similar missions and vids for the Harrier 4 years ago.I'm just repeating them with the F-15. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/198790-dcs-av-8b-harrier-ccrp-dive-toss/ High speed low level. Great fun. ..

  16. In the meantime, use what we've got. The SA 10 Tracker radar is the target. SA 11 provides support, plus numerous short range AA. 12 mk 82 air. ..
  17. SA 10 complex. 15 Mk 82. Approach at low level. Radar detects but dosn't launch. Direct Pop Up, roll over and self designate for a CCRP Dive Toss. Egress at low level.
  18. Beats my X-52, but I can still fly a Gazelle without problems. ..
  19. I'm lofting 15 MK 82 against SA 10 site, from 200' CCRP, with some success. Site was disabled. ..
  20. Autohover has acknowledged problems. Hovering has no problems. Magnetic brake is OK. I use it all the time. ..
  21. My 13 Y/O old Saitek gives me no pitch problems. I hold the stick at the top which gives me a 8 inch throw. 20 pitch curve and T/O by numbers. E.G. AA load 65000 lb. rotate at 140 kts. with half stick for 1 second to 12 deg. ..
  22. TO trim when adjusted to the green light, gives a nose up bias to the stabilator. This is required to give the extra authority required for correct rotation and if not applied correctly, will add to the T/O distance. The trim has to be adjusted forward after gear and flaps are raised, in order to return the trim to normal. ..
  23. M model with 67% fuel (350 l) and 4 HOT, about 4200 lbs. T/O and climb from S/L to 7000' at about 120 kts. OK, but full load 4533 lb not possible. Full main tank, 82%, 4 HOT. 4367 lb. T/O and possitive climb at 120 kts. Full load fuel, main plus aux tank, 100%, 4 HOT, 4533 lb. MAX weight. Difficult to get out of ground effect, but circle to the left to reduce pedal and attain 20 knots and a positive climb can be maintained at 110 kts. ..
  24. F-15E Max landing weight is 81000lb. T/O at that weight, rotate at 167 kts. Landing Approach speed at 80000lb is 222kts 21 units. Landing distance over 50' is 11000' with aero braking, including airbrake. Zero wind, 20C. Max touchdown at 240 fpm. Try Mozdok for circuit practice, recommended wide at this weight. 12160' runway. So far, landings at this weight and sticking to the numbers, have been between 9910' and 11126', with the qccasional jaunt into the field at the end, when I balls up. Great fun! ..
