  1. +1 Thoughts like this should moderate and assuage anger and hope for the best news tomorrow.
  2. Thanks Unknown for showing the part to justice for that fellow. Perhaps joke was intended but stressed me out with the persistent demand.
  3. It has been identified that AI are a big part of performance drawback. There is something about the AI aircrafts in 2.5.6.
  4. The problem I see here is that fellows that object to having an early access are defining early access by Ed's and a few third party developers early access standard. This does not have to be in all cases of early access. Today's F-16 is quite good enough to take to the battle front. Truegrit has stated that they want to ensure a good representation of the eurofighter as public documentation would allow so I am sure if Truegrit goes the early access route, they will not put out an empty shell of the typhoon. Speaking for myself here, I would very much like an early access of the eurofighter I can take to aa and AG battle confidently and there after receives progressive features and upgrade. The is the only module Truegrit is developing now and I am sure all resources would be focus on getting it where it should be. ED and other dev has lots in their hands hence the perceived delays in completing some of their modules but they are making effort on their parts. It is a matter of trusting Truegrit to deliver here. The way I see it. Love the Typhoon.
  5. Way to go. Pretty easy following these rules. The F-16 is about the easiest to land especially for guys 'n' gals who have had extensive knowledge of this jet from the other sim. Love the falcon. The prettiest aircraft in dcs as far as I am concern. The Typhoon would be the only aircraft that would contest with her in this regards imho. I am hope the falcon get all her features plugged in the near future. Funnier to fly by then.
  6. I am very eager here too so the idea put up by opening post is worth considering. I am very at home with the Hornet systems in dcs largely due to the piecemeal introductory approach used. The Typhoon systems seems more complex and this method would ease the learning curve. DCS Tomcat style would be good but would most likely take a long time before it get released. She is a modern jet and having 80% systems running at release would take efforts and time. I am really wishing the Truegrit crew Godspeed on this eurofoghter project and hoping for at least a reasonably well kitted early acess. Somethong above the fighting falcon release state would be good enough for me.
  7. Good question. I have high hope the supercarrier would get its own section as a module. No aircraft carrier has been rendered like we would be getting so it needs to be represented well as module. Training missions like launch operation as seen in the Wags video, case 1,2,3 carrier landing are possible missions in that section. If possible, I would very much like a mission that would take you on a tour around the facilities in the supercarrier.
  8. +1 For me, it is difficult to discount the place of vr in future. Hard to say there would be any amount of eye candy graphic on 2D monitor that would make me drop vr. All my future system upgrade plans is heavily geared towards improving my VR experience and I hope the technology continually gets better.
  9. The real world scenerio would be very different when it comes to assigning holding altitude. I believe in dcs implementation, it would kind of make huge sense for mother to pass the altitude you are to begin your holding with AI in the stack. Some sort of algorithm to arrange both human and AI in the stack/pattern.
  10. Very true. The way I see it too.
  11. There is certain implementation of this levels of communication in dcs. I played some missions like the Red flag missions where you would have ATIS, Ground, Tower and Departures/Approach radios communication. This is all done by mission makers. Let hope when the Airfield Air Traffic control is implemented by dcs, we would have a full-fledged air traffic control.
  12. I actually miss the first time wow experience. My brain has gotten accustomed now so much so that that initial sense of vertigo, sense of height/falling and more has wore off. I played epic roller Coaster recently and did not express any fear of height/falling going down those rails. I still remember my first roller coaster with Samsung goggle vr, I was screaming and grabbing tightly to the chair. So yes, the honeymoon has thinned out but nevertheless, VR is still my preferred choice. 2D flightsim has been relegated permanently.
  13. Data cartridge implementation should help in loading the aircraft mission radio preset. With this one can just dial in presets channels radios.
  14. I asked same question after watching that video, it seems radio settings was set to simple there. Setting radio/comms to simple in the option section will automatically tune to Marshall or Approach channel when you select from the F key menu. It radio/comms is set to realistic, you would have to tune those channels manually to get response from Marshall, tower, tanker or the intended responder.
  15. Don't be too hard on yourself. Carrier landing takes practice just like aerial refueling I can assure you that. I still struggle in carrier landing especially in the Tomcat. As stated by Pete, it is called rocking the throttle, to maintain the proper Aoa in the Hornet, you need to keep moving the throttle. It is a lot easier in the Hornet because you get lots of information presented on the hud to help you, like Bank angle tape, 25-27 degrees works well for me , rate of course deviation as you turn to the groove, the ICLS and then using the ball. Jabber's carrier landing video playfully did justice to the stage by stage process.
  16. This sounds unbelievable. Smelling some pranks here.
  17. This sure looks like an April fool pranks.
  18. +1 Been having good fun with the trial period of the M-2000C Mirage. I must confess it a great module. Cockpit looks really solid and richly textured. Beautiful in vr too. The heavily French-accented guy giving tutorials guide is sometimes hard to hear but again it adds to the immersion being French made aircraft, so not so much qualms. I really like the French cockpit design in the Mirage. They have been flamed quite hard sometimes but I think they deserve some praise for their work from what I have seen so far in the mirage. I hope they push the AV8B and their other modules to release state so work on the Mudhen (which I looking forward to) can get serious priority. I trust the F-15Eagle would receive same depth of representation. Kudos to Razbam.
  19. In one of the many comments responding to questions in carrier launch op video on YouTube. Attached is a snapshot of the conversation.
  20. Mr Wagner also mentioned the air to ground radar while answering a related question in the YouTube supercarrier launch operation video. It seems the AG radar for the Hornet is receiving priority. Wagner's exact words 4 days ago on youtube "More work for the TGP and AG radar are next for the Hornet. Thanks."
  21. This happen to me too several times when trying to join multiplayer. In my case it just hangs no matter how long I waited for the loading process, had to alt tab out to end dcs on those cases. By the way this happened in non-steam open beta. Might have to add my dcs.log file here too.
  22. Might want to attach the crash dcs log file here for ED to look it know precisely what is going on. I have no such issue with the F-16.
  23. Detailed and well researched work. Clears a number of misconceptions especially the Tranche thing. The way I read it, the typhoon looks like the F-16 with many software versions, blocks, and export versions. Thank you for your time and effort at this.
  24. Watching this video bring back lots of nostalgia thoughts and feelings. Cannot forget that distinct battle and the menu click sound. Seriously looking in retrospect, graphic aside, I am stunned by the amount of content like wingman formation commands, AI standard, weapons, variety of mission sorties, a good wargame campaign etc in a far back 1995 game. Pure joy to see news of a modern day representation of this aircraft coming to dcs. Whichever form she comes, I sure would be having a swell time fly this module.
  25. I am not pushing hard because of the issues that may come with not meeting with schedule. I know you guys just started work on the EF2000. Would it be possible to give us a projected time frame tentatively for us to get any form of release product [ pre-order, Early access etc] of this module? Like a year, a year and half, etc? Once again, thank you for choosing to do this aircraft. As you can see, a lot of us are hyped already.
