Great news Bignewy. Thanks
-
Yeah, I did all that dance severally, Even left the download process on two nights and come check the next mornings, it just there hung.. I just gave up. I am hoping the next patch would be less of an issue downloading. Thanks anyways for the suggestion.

I hope ED fix the update server issue. A great number of the update server are down. I could not download the latest update patch since released as result of getting stuck midway. The latest patch is about the only version I never got to try in dcs openbeta. Waiting for today's patch instead.

Look in your save game holder for dcs and find folder dedicated for your screenshots. I use the print/screen/sysRq key on my keyboard to capture screenshots.

A big thank you to all mission/campaign designers!
Eaglewings replied to sirrah's topic in User Created Missions General
Joining here for a thank-you shout out too to mission designer. A lot of them are worth paying for when you look at the content, voice-over recording and immersion. [emoji106] -
Please any update on this? I have yet to download the latest openbeta.

[RESOLVED] instrument/panel/cockpits lights in latest open beta
Eaglewings replied to Fercyful's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yeah I get the openbeta issue of instability. In this situation, a little note at the end of Heatblur F-14 update like: 'Known issue(s) ........... so on and so forth is not working' This will better prepare the minds of people on what to expect when updating to the latest patch. Blame are appropriately apportioned also. My two cents. -
My bad. I had thought you were referring to the Tomcat. Haven't really taken cognizance of the beep in the harrier.

Great to know this Bignewy. I have done all that was advised and still stuck again. I would just wait for the download fix. Pointless having sleepless night over this and going round same cycle. Edit: What happened to the torrent download option, any way I could revert to that? I cannot get the option to use torrent. Torrent has been a reliable mean of patch update for me over the years Thanks.

When I turn off my wifi internet connection, I get the following error message “server capacity may be limited at the moment please try again later” My next attempt to update takes me back to the same 5546Mbytes remaining and after a couple of time downloading it gets stuck again. I have been looking forward to some of the features in the latest update and now I cannot use them.

I sent complain to ED support and these are their recommendations to resolve this issue you can try some hints: try to Completely disable AV and Firewall and try again try to manually change DNS server for IPv4 to free DNS from Google 8.8.8.8 try to flush DNS via the command prompt - ipconfig /flushdns (http://www.tech-faq.com/how-to-flush-dns.html) try to do a WINSOCK reset via the command prompt - netsh winsock reset I have tried first on the list and it got stuck again at 669mbytes. Proceeding on the others

DCS 2.5.6.50321 OpenBeta download getting stuck I have going through a frustrating time trying to download the latest update of openbeta for DCS world. The download keeps getting stuck somewhere between the last 5546Mbytes. I gone through this cyclye more than eight times. The downloaded part is not saved and when I start the update again, I keep getting 5546mbyte left to complete the update. A cycle is just painful. Please any idea on stopping this problem. Thanks

Do not feel too dissappionted. Mission building is not that difficult. You can also check the user file section of the ED web page. You might find already made mission for your helo to download.
-
Great. This was a constant source of frustration.

Yes easy to assume zoom on the tgp it can only be done with the buttons. Hopefully the implementation of the complete HOTAS functions would clear all these.
-
Not a bug. It seems to be the new norm. To keep the laser unit safe and not accidentally hitting friendly folks down there in real life. That has recently passed on to our virtual Hornet.

I got some A-10C and KA-50 campaigns with my bonus. Still could not finish the bonus. Had to let go $9(not big of a loss) but gained some miles. All of the miles I can be used up to buy stuffs Certainly the old bonus reward method would not be missed.

My suspicion confirmed. I was quite perplexed by the size considering the fact that the update contained in large part fixes. That is quite a huge one to be caused by AG radar terrain change.

DCS: F/A-18C Features Roadmap for Early Access
Eaglewings replied to Kate Perederko's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
One of the salient point I got from this whole thing. ED listened and made adjustments. -
To add to all the favorable recommendations for the A-10C module, imho, the A-10C has the most interesting payware high level trainings and campaigns in dcs. You can add those later on to get really immersive war campaigns.
-
In essence you pay higher for getting a taste of the product before others. I can clearly see it in dcs too. I pre-ordered th Hornet and Viper. I was looking at those prices during the recent sale period. It was hard fighting those envious feelings but again I had been enjoying it for more than year.
-
Just wondering if there is any advantage in price doing pre-order? Will the price change down the line after release?
-
I vote for the modern/digital version please. Let's have a taste of some semblance of modern avionic suite.

You can check this application Bailey https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305863/

Appreciate the information. Somewhat difficult to tell the difference between the A and the B model from that image but as least I got what and where the digital engine instruments feature will go. I will research more on that. Cheers
