Is it possible to use Bailey profile without changing to Bailey's keyboard.diff.lau file. I just lost most of my hotas keybind by switching to provided keyboard binds in Bailey profile. While trying to find my old hotas keybind again, would unbinding f11 and F12 in my custom keyboard.diff file still work?

Congratulations Markturner1960. I know that feeling, I can still remember how elated I was when did my first AAR after months of hardware tweaking and frustrating attempts. Like taking down a mountain for me. Like others have said, do more of it and it get stuck on you. You can equally take the acquired knowledge and experience to other aircrafts aar mission with tremendous success rate.

Yes, +1 Back in the days when dcs replay function was working very well, I could fast forward my flown mission to the point where I begin the attack, take over the aircraft especially flying A-10C missions against some stubborn and mean Sam sites where I was constantly shutdown. Replay is so bugged now this is not a viable option. So yes for intermittent save along the mission( battlefield and call of duty single players mission style)

FCS bit test can still be done with wings folded. At least I have done it just after engine startup on a carrier. The flaps, slats and elevator will go through all the movements.

Another interesting component I never thought would be due for an upgrade. Power usage would not be that scaled up for the upcoming rtx3000 series I have read. Thank Bitmaster, I will keep this in mind.

Present cpu can achieve 4.2ghz on max turbo frequency. That is somewhat close to 4.5ghz. Might go for the rtx3000 gpu(or whatever nvidia decide to call it) and see if how it goes with present setup hoping no major hickups playing dcs. Appreciate your input derneuemann

I lean towards the antivrus if your have one installed. How do you restore dcs.exe file after it getting deleted?

Hello fellows. I have been looking to upgrade my gpu and plan to take a two generational jump from pascal to the ampere without having to build a new system entirely. I am beginning to think my Intel i5 7600k cpu could draw performance back with the rtx3000 series. Consequently, if I have to get a faster and more current cpu, I may have to also change the motherboard as it is built for the skylake 7th generation Intel CPUs. Current setup 1. Motherboard GA-Z270-HD3 Z270 gigabyte 2. Gpu gtx 1060 6g (shooting for a non ti rtx 3000 series) 3. Storage 500G SSD samsung 500g M.2 already in the shopping cart for dcs only) 4. Ram 16g *additional 2x8g 3000mhz already in my shopping cart 5. PSU 650watt evga 6. VR samsung O+ ( plan is to upgrade this sometime in the future to a higher res headset Would I be good enough to change to the rtx 3000 series with the planned ram and storage upgrade while still keeping the i5 7600k cpu? Or Go the cpu and motherboard upgrade to not bottleneck the gpu? Any advice please?

I am not sure I am part of a microsoft insider program. Nothing negatively drastic in my few minutes of test in dcs with the new holographic update installed.

I am getting a new Microsoft - Holographic 10.0.19041.1009 update on my windows update page. Pretty sure this has got something to do with windows mixed reality software. Anyone got this? Downloaded and installed anyway hoping this new update does not spoil my relatively stable vr experience.

This is the kind of atc upgrade we are looking forward to from ED. The Supercarrier atc is unfortunately going to be tied to one channel-operate-all communications too.(so I have gathered) We hope we will get this realistic radio feature implemented in no too distant future.

Among many other things that could be causing this, If you have anti-virus program installed, excluding dcs folder from realtime scan by your anti-virus software could also help. I have solved those intermittent pauses by so doing.

Had this is recently but in 2.5.6. The culprit was the anti-virus software I had installed (Malwarebytes). Uninstalled this and 3-6 seconds occasional stuttering was gone. Check your anti-virus and try excluding dcs folder in the anti-virus setting. Hope this helps.

1. You would need to turn your radar to the proper azimuth using radar elevation knob to be able to lock dl targets on your radar page. They will become white bricks when your radar is on the right azimuth. 2. Not sure if you are suppose to be using TWS when friendlies have merged with enemy targets. Just my opinion though. Edit You can use hud symbology for friendly and hostile to differentiate. Like semicircle on friendly targets and a chevron on enemy target.

The paperless chart MFDs that shows airfield holding, approach, and departure information is just so amazing. The eurofighter is obviously a well thought-out modern jet. Makes life so much easier for the pilot in the cockpit.

RTX card only supports DLSS. Features like this are really increasing the performance to cost ratio of this cards. This is very good from nvidia. Our DCS world engine should be evolving to take advantage of these new and ground breaking software technology. We really need this in dcs. Am just waiting for the 3000 series to launch and then key in.

SLI is not viable with dcs I have read. Would it have been possible to put two different generation and specs of gpus and get something good out of them?

10fps? This is really poor. I have always played openbeta. Have the same gpu as yours except the cpu. On the latest openbeta and if all the eye candy graphic settings are turned on, I get minimum 48fps and medium settings, fps are the 90s. I manage to get away quite well using it with odyssey + VR headset. Are you on SSD drive? How about setting on Nvidia control panel? Setting this to default and only changing power preference to maximiun do produce good result. There are a few good dcs optimization video out there you can use.

That price point would be fantastic but I seriously doubt a 3080ti with all the rumoured specs out there would sell for that price.

Okay I get it. No dedicated weapon for SAM (SEAD) mission in the Eurofighter we would get. I would be fine with a GPS weapon.

There was a write-up somewhere(reddit I think) that showed the Hornet hotas can do more than it presently does in dcs like interaction with the ddi. I am not aware ED has even acknowledged this hotas functions and will be implementing them. It would be great to have those hotas functionality howbeit because it makes lot of sense considering what "hotas" really means.
