  1. I have a dell laptop I5 7757 series core i5 7300HQ 2.5ghz Gtx 1060 6gb max q 16g ram 1920x1080 screen resolution SSD storage This has been handling dcs very well for 2 years now averaging fps of 50 - 60 on high setting I use a Samsung odyssey plus vr on it and though not getting great fps but dcs is playable on a good day with low to medium graphics settings. I got desktop components 2years ago almost similar specs as the my Dell laptop that I have yet to setup. It has Gtx1060 gpu but I never set it up to see the difference between the desktop and laptop version. When I got those parts, Virtual reality headset was not in the mix then so I am looking to upgrade my gpu from a gtx 1060 to perhaps a rtx 2070 super or rtx 2080 super. So your laptop is comparatively better than mine in all specs and I would say a strong yes, you are good to go with that rig. Temperature are very good with Dell laptops, 70 - 75 highest during game play but goes higher (lower 80s with vr headset)
  2. Wait a minute, isn't Razbam doing the F-15 eagle already? Or this implies we will two F-15 versions in dcs.
  3. This would most likely have to do with your internet. Check your internet to login into dcs world.
  4. Yeah, Glowing Amraam is probably laying out the concept and putting things together on the trailer video. Exciting times ahead.
  5. This is looking really good. Newsletter is out?
  6. Have you tried using dcs axis command section to see if the minimouse will register as axis control? Do not own the X52 anymore but I remember using the Saitek software to change the minimouse to X and Y bands and then use it as TDC slew function. It is all vague now but can try these options or better still guys using the X52 will provide precise option. Good luck.
  7. I just saw the Varjo Hmd with eye tracking, good resolution by specs but a limited FOV and pricey for gamers market. The technology features in the Varjo can be improved upon, scaled and trickle down to us the wider market in a couple of years from now.
  8. Very understandable. I wish them the best whatever the situation is.
  9. You can still force the mouse out by clicking the edge outside game play window. You can also check vr setting in dcs where you can uncheck cursor confined to game screen. Never used it though as I could just click outside the game screen and use the mouse on other stuff.
  10. First on the list under bomb for station 2 & 8
  11. I just discovered it is not a problem from steamVR of windows mixed reality software. I am playing without any of VR software installed on the monitor and I see the exact stuttering . This is latest dcs open beta and no mod installed. My fps goes suddenly from 80 down to 13 on a normal flight(F-16 free flight in NTTR) during those stuttering instances and eventually goes back to normal fps only to repeat again after a few seconds. This is exactly what was translating to my vr. Time to try the hot plug device option.
  12. Good discovery. This looks nice. Let's probe more for such little surprises. [emoji106]
  13. Great. Thanks
  14. Thanks Spark vark. I did that but did not see any improvement. Now I have uninstalled everything (steamVR, windows mixed reality for steam, Windows mixed reality portal and the cliffhouse software). I would add the disabling hot plug devices again after reinstalling everything.
  15. Looks like ED stirred the Hornet nest here. Little surprise on the anger and dissappiontment from owners because they are just looking after their lovely infant bird. But for progressive and mutually beneficial coding as ED says, I would take this mildly and hope the parallel development for both birds is adhered to as close as possible. This would control potential rivalry between these two iconic birds. I would advise proper prior communication for things like this to manage the side-by-side development of the Hornet and Falcon.
  16. Yeah you missed the 20% discount. Early access discount was on up until release date.
  17. Odyssey plus user here. Something has gone off somehow. I don't do vr anymore as a result. Game breaking stuttering. May have to get my trackir out. I have check steam forum and this complain is there too. I am an early adopters of windows 10 1903 and it has been great until recently. Reading about some vrserver bug that boots up every few seconds and it would draw heavily on PC resources each time it does that.
  18. This has been my issue for the past month now with the odyssey plus which surprisingly was a smooth experience. VR in dcs which is about the only way I use dcs these days has turned unpleasant. I have tried refresh frequency to automatic, lowest dcs graphic settings, steamVR beta and non beta, update drivers, delete fxo/metashader, repaired dcs, and no joy. DCS plays for a few seconds and the stutter will begin, stutter goes away and come back a few seconds later. A game breaking cycle. I get this intermittent stutter even on dcs menu page at those times gpu resource use goes up to 100% and cpu is under 50%. I would like to read more in the Microsoft document link but it seems broken. Any help would be appreciated.
  19. Cannot go wrong with the popular vote here. Persian Gulf.
  20. I will be looking forward to you 10 mission campaign. I enjoyed your serpent head 6 missions. Thank you for work. [emoji106]
  21. Hey guys. I have just installed this software. I want to know if there is any other thing I should do to see the proper display. Have read the quick guide but fail to see any reference to this issue. Now I am using it the software on the standalone mode. I run the VRK and the VRK is displayed on my desktop. I am running steamVR with a windows mix reality headset. I go into VR and cannot see the table as in the demo video. I can only see a logo of AMVI at the bottom right position. It does focus and enlarge when I look at the logo. Thanks.
  22. A very clear and well detailed road map with timestamp. This update reveals an amazing sense of dedication and openess on your part. I pray for the good and gentle winds to carry you and your team to the heights you have set to take this modules to. Keep up the good work.
  23. Downloaded and reading already. Cheers
  24. That is nice. It would great to have the developer list of features that they would be implementing for this module? The MMS would be a useful feature to have. Thanks Eagle_rising.
