  1. Yeah, I am eagerly looking forward to this. I know the KA-50 Blackshark is getting remodeled but the OH-58D is a buy for me.
  2. +1 Would be helpful in vr and modules with complex systems
  3. Good to know that. At least there are effort to mitigate against the horrifying menace in peacetime. Thanks
  4. I like that phrase "quality threshold". How about infusing that in development model of these modules and sticking with it.
  5. Reading through this thread makes me think, WAR IS AN UGLY BUSINESS. 500,000 bombs still underground? Looks like the sky was raining bombs in that war. A war that ended decades ago still have potent weapons in places today. Thank goodness for technology that discovers and safely excavate this bombs. Are there ways to make modern bomb self-deactivate after some years?
  6. Taking back my earlier post of a 95% early access complete as I hastenly took model for module. I can understand the frustration with the way and pace of development especially for the Hornet. I think Ed wants to flesh up the Viper systems as close to Hornet, hence retaining dev resources for the Hornet at the Viper end for now. I do not really know the intricacies involved in software development but If it were possible, how about a situation whereby an early access module is well developed to a deeper level before introducing another. Too many unfinished early access create lot of pressure on the developer and bad vibes between users and developers. The supercarrier ATC communication and the animated deck crews are quite a big deal for me. This could be my last early access purchase as I have got most modern aircraft I like already in my hangar.
  7. The New Supercarrier tickles my excitement being 95% early access complete. I am reckoning this would come as an upcoming Christmas present.
  8. This is a very interesting piece of news. It would be great if this feature can be taken advantage of in dcs.
  9. Correct This depends on the headset you are using. O+ here. Each time I turn on myheadset I am presented with a look right, left and down calibration process. If this is not done, I will most definitely get that movement with cockpit. I just go to set room calibration on my cliffhouse window and everything is back to normal. I would press my Centre view button to get positioned proper again. So check calibration as this is not a dcs problem.
  10. Remember you can program one of the buttons on either the stick or throttle as a modifier. This would enable you to create another layer of key mapping for functions you may need beside the default. Cheers.
  11. You can backup your config file within your game save folder for dcs and copy/paste it to the save game folder that your new install will create.
  12. Not mentioned specifically in the list of features to implement but I sure do hope Ed implement it as part of the DED.
  13. No, not at the state the Viper is now. Most functionality in the DED are under development. You can do simple pop up manually though if you know how it is done without cues on the HUD.
  14. Good move. Not much help here as mine is not a complete set I use the TWCS throttle combined with the warthog flightstick. For the F-A 18, the TWCS looks very much similar to the real throttle of the FA-18C and dcs comes with default key mapping which close to the real aircraft. You just need modify some more for your preference. My A-10C also has default map settings too. I did not find anything amiss with default keybind so I went with the flow with addition using modifier button. You can go to the user file section of eagle dynamic website and find tonnes of good key mapping for your specify hotas.
  15. I am equally eyeing the 2070super or 2080 super for the black friday sales. 2080ti price not justified for me now but it has lot of future proof gains. Read Amd might be launching a higher-end gpu soon. This potentially could challenge nvidia to competitively price that segment of the market. I hope not to regret pushing the button too soon with the rumoured Amd high-end gpu and the nvidia ampere gpu.
  16. Hard to tell. I guess we see if Ed has any news. It is safe these days to just wait and hear from the horse's mouth.
  17. It is more of a self acquired skill and once you get it, it sticks. But to get it takes practice hence the popular practice, practice phrase as the first reply(@Bigwey) stated. I am afraid you cannot run away from this one. Second reply(@knock-knock) laid out the intricacy and tactic to get the logic of it all. Formation flying gentle and small controlis key. We all different systems and controls also factor into this. I initially started using autopilot to help stabilize, did some axis tweaking but I do not need any of those to refuel now. It is in practice you will find out what work for you in the recommended advices. As an encouragement, it took me months of practices and when I finally got, it just stuck. I am sure soon you will be advicing someone how and what it takes to do AAR. Have a good one
  18. Different strokes for different folks they say. I am not really eager for any new aircraft module. I have got enough aircraft in my hangar that still needs to be finished. I would relish a significant work and released results for dcs core systems like an organic campaign, AI, ATC communication, weather and gaming engine improvements (to impart game play especially VR). Those core systems would sell Ed's and 3rd party modules faster. Glad to hear their committment in this respect and I hope half the staff strenght allotted to these areas would yield a timely results.
  19. I am yet to fully get the steamVR reprojection setting. It works okay for me without touching the vrsetting in steam folder. I found out that on steamVR mini application window, I see motion reprojection is ON when dcs is running without changing parameters in vrsettings. The few times I have uncommented those parameters, game play becomes really jerky and unstable. Perhaps your new bug find could be the cause as I use PD value of 68mm.
  20. One of the patch update from Microsoft had something to do with fixing the blurriness and other issues Update to use new scaling capabilities in Windows 1903 on machines with KB4507453 installed
  21. Okay I get it. If Razbam pushes out the F-15Eagle, I think there would be little incentive for ED to do a full fidelity F-15C IMHO. You never can tell though but I personally would prefer to have the mudhen(eagle version) compare to the C version.
  22. I have a dell laptop I5 7757 series core i5 7300HQ 2.5ghz Gtx 1060 6gb max q 16g ram 1920x1080 screen resolution SSD storage This has been handling dcs very well for 2 years now averaging fps of 50 - 60 on high setting I use a Samsung odyssey plus vr on it and though not getting great fps but dcs is playable on a good day with low to medium graphics settings. I got desktop components 2years ago almost similar specs as the my Dell laptop that I have yet to setup. It has Gtx1060 gpu but I never set it up to see the difference between the desktop and laptop version. When I got those parts, Virtual reality headset was not in the mix then so I am looking to upgrade my gpu from a gtx 1060 to perhaps a rtx 2070 super or rtx 2080 super. So your laptop is comparatively better than mine in all specs and I would say a strong yes, you are good to go with that rig. Temperature are very good with Dell laptops, 70 - 75 highest during game play but goes higher (lower 80s with vr headset)
  23. Wait a minute, isn't Razbam doing the F-15 eagle already? Or this implies we will two F-15 versions in dcs.
  24. This would most likely have to do with your internet. Check your internet to login into dcs world.
  25. Yeah, Glowing Amraam is probably laying out the concept and putting things together on the trailer video. Exciting times ahead.
