They are two seperate aircraft and two seperate modules. If you own the A-10C module and upgrade, you will download and install a complete A-10C II module. Once the A-10C II is released, it will be the only "A-10" available for new players to purchase. The "Legacy" A-10C will cease to exist except for players who already own it.

If what I have in mind works it’ll be less than $10 For the parts not including a Leo Bodnar board to run everything. -
Hall effect sensor Question
Sierra99 replied to Sierra99's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thank you Sokol! That is exactly what I needed to know. I am using the actual pivot / attachment point of the throttle...Not the original sliding mechanism. All the slider will be is movement dampening. I’ll post pics as I go. -
GOOD MORNING GENTLEMEN I am working on using a couple of AH3503 Hall Sensors to convert a Suncom F-15 Throttle quardant. I understand "How" they work...But I dont understand "How" they work... "Something" is moved in front of the Hall Sensor to cause a change. That I get...But I'm fuzzy on what that something is. Do I move a piece of metal in front of the sensor to cause a change? Or do I move a magnet in front of the sensor to cause the change? Thanks in advance

You can spend hundreds of dollars and buy another base... Or you can Take it apart and carefully clean it and re-grease it. I use Lucas marine grease.

I quadrupled the value of this old X-Fighter stick by putting in a real F-15 Trim switch and 3 Otto P1-71111 Push buttons. Not exact matches but they work REALLY nice. Paired up with a VirPil stick extension...flying the Huey has NEVER been this much fun!

How to get rescue helo to stay with carrier?
Sierra99 replied to rayrayblues's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
Guys tomorrow before I go to work I'll drop a miz file in here with some examples. It's not " hard " but sometimes something as simple as a misslpaced letter will not allow the script to run. -
The reenforcing plates look amazing! Don't know if you've seen this or not but there is some good info in this article. Looking forward to the release! https://www.usaf-sig.org/index.php/reference/41-research-material/82-f-16-viper-faq-stuff-you-wanted-to-know-about-the-f-16cd

I'm sorry...The Folding@home project has been around for years with zero issues. Your concerns are unfounded.

Aviate.. Navigate... Communicate... Operate... Aviate...Learn how to operate the aircraft. When you can do 25 cold starts, takeoffs and landings in a row without forgetting anything move on to ... Navigate...learn how to fly point to point using all of the tools at your disposal. Learn what the information on the HUD, HSI, CDU screens means. Learn how to create way points and put them into a flight plan.... Communicate...learn how to use Simole Radio and the in game comes to communicate with your teammates... Finally learn how to operate different weapons systems. Start with unguided dumb weapons and move in from there.

I never said it was "reality"...I said it wa the goal. And I never said or imposed I had "first hand" experience with F-16s. My experience with F-16s involved refueling them as we hauled them back and forth to the desert, long conversations with pilots and maintainers while deployed and publicly available information. The "goal" Was standardization...But I know programs completed over time suffer from feature creep and changes. Remember also that the CCIP upgrade was done in phases based on subsystem availability. So yes at some points plane would go for depot and only receive part of the upgrade or another... But the Desired end result Was standardization. During MY career I saw numerous upgrades and TCTOs that didn't look exactly the same from one jet to the next...but the majority did.

This idea has merit. The purpose of the CCIP Program was standardization of the "F-16" fleet 40/42's and 50/52s all went through the program. And in theory...all emerged with basically the same cockpit layouts and capabilities. As far as I can decipher, modeling the Post CCIP 40s would only require the removal of a few details to be correct. The Bird Slicer IFF antenna and JMHCS transducers inside the canopy are the most obvious items that stand out. Modeling the Block 42/52s would require the Pratt & Whitney engine be modeled along with the correct afterburner external details. I'm sure I've missed something but I'm to tired to go to the big computer to search for stuff... This has good info https://www.usaf-sig.org/index.php/reference/114-research-material/82-f-16-viper-faq-stuff-you-wanted-to-know-about-the-f-16cd Maybe on down the road, ED will do a 42/52 version the way they have with the modernized A-10C. Edit: ooops my bad So in reality all it might take is removing the Bird Slicer antennas to do the 40.

People who think Flight Simmers are Rivet counters have never met a scale modeler :)

Pretty Close...I was thinking more along the lines of the one in the Lower Right Corner. https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=199291&d=1544044305 A white version and a Blue Version would be nice. Up and to the late 90s there was a usually a Large Red Number on the Blue ones to identify which rig belonged to which speicialists...They stopped that practice for OPSEC reasons. Here's some more ideas. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3134820&postcount=79

I just discovered this webpage https://dod.defense.gov/OIR/Airstrikes/ It list by date what missions were conducted. Not overly detailed but provides good guidance for what kind of missions can be built with the Syria map.

Sierra99 replied to Pikey's topic in User Created Missions General
Thats it? 900 SAMs, A Carrier and a Baby Carrier (No Statics on EITHER One...) Some Support Aircraft outta Incirlik and a working Mission to build on? OH and no support? <SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH> OK...It'll have to do. Seriously Pikey Out of the Park Brother! Thank you very much for doing this for the group! -
Well to be honest, designator codes are loaded with the Data Cartridge either. They are Physically set on the weapon using a screw driver. The ultimate solution would be a screen showing the seeker head and the setting screws and you adjust them.
-
Will the A-10C II continue using the CDU to enter Laser Designator Codes or will it use the "Kneeboard Method" used in the F-16CM. The latter is much more realistic in my opinion.

Gentlemen, I have a T.Flight headset that the ear pieces have begun falling apart on in less than 6 months. the good folks at Thrustmaster have informed me the ear pieces are not covered by warranty so...sorry. Has anyone else had this problem and found suitable " plug and play " replacements? If I can't find pnp I think the next step may be 3D printing some adapters so I can use David Clark ear pieces. Thanks in advance for any help
