  1. Nice. Will watch this on the family 65 inch TV.
  2. Nice vid. You should get significant benefits with productivity, video and streaming moving from the ancient Intel 4 cores/4 threads up to AMD's 8 cores/16 threads. Already subscribed to your channel, some great content. I trust you when you said what the FPS was as it was nigh on impossible to read the DCS frame counter.
  3. If you read on their latest status update (link below) in the last week or so it is mentioned under the "Art" section. Not much I know but they are working on both the A and K fuel truck variant AI models. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251618
  4. Bummer as being in Sydney, Australia means mid morning on work days Monday and Wednesday for me. I wish your online squadron the best.
  5. Nevada is definitely worth it IMO. There is so much content for it with free mission downloads and plenty of training campaigns covering many aircraft modules. It may not be quite as good looking as the PG map but it is still good. And if you use Mustangs terrain textures mod it improves it a little. Hopefully ED look to give it another overhaul down the track after all the other maps that are in development come out.
  6. I am hoping for a Christmas surprise on the map front. There are so many modules to choose from but only the three modern maps along with Normandy.
  7. It would really help to know what monitor resolution (1080p, 1440p, 1440p ultra wide, 4k) you intend on gaming at? It would also be helpful to know what kind of FPS you would also like to target? If you provide this information then you will get far more beneficial responses.
  8. Looks good and as pointed out by Bitmaster I would suggest just getting a 32GB memory kit for those large missions in single and multiplayer. I think your selection of the RTX2070 Super is a great choice for 1440p monitor gaming which should give decent bang for buck performance. No need to pay a premium for a RTX 2080Ti which is kind of wasted on 1080p or 1440p unless you are trying to push really high FPS.
  9. Awesome that the updates and fixes are starting to come to the Gazelle. Also kudos to Polychop for being transparent and honest in the issues that remain with the Gazelle. I am really appreciative of the rough roadmap communicated and tempering owners of the Gazelle that the flight model, which is by far the biggest bugbear of it, will take some time to re-do and will be one of the later items addressed. 2020 looks to be a good year coming up for helo nuts.
  10. I'm really impressed by the continued work to updating and improving on what is an excellent module by AvioDev. This really is in my opinion the premium trainer aircraft in DCS. Keep up the good work AvioDev.
  11. My best wishes to the members of the Razbam team who are experiencing family difficulties. Thank you =Decoy= for the update. Hopefully Razbam will be able to provide it's customers with a overall status update and roadmap by the Christmas 2019/New Year holiday period with regards to the current modules M2K, Harrier, and Mig-19.
  12. I can't see any way of telling from looking at the Razbam Bug Tracker when the last update was made on it. There appear to be no timestamps to see progress made. Back to fumbling in the dark hoping to find that elusive light switch I guess. :music_whistling:
  13. Agreed. Keep hearing people talk as if it is just around the corner. Keeping the delusion alive I guess.
  14. ED settled on their business model of free World and couple of free aircraft while charging x dollars for each module. I'm on the whole happy with that. Getting back to the topic my gripe with the existing dated 3d models is all to do with immersion. It is great flying some stunningly crafted model but if the environment in which you fly is sterile and littered with shockingly dated 90's/early 2000's models then it just kills the whole experience. Once you have learned and mastered the module then the world around you becomes more important and if that world is spoilt by amateur 3d models then it leaves for a lacking experience. I am encouraged though by ED stating that over half their staff are focussing on core game world functions as summarized by Silver Dragon from the recent Mudspike interview:
  15. Who needs external lights. [emoji12] But seriously, yes I hope there is more too. More radar modes is good. Hope I don’t have to continue using the gun funnel for much longer. [emoji30] So long as we see continued progress over the weeks ahead I’ll be happy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Correct. And when you are trying to convince other people to join the DCS World one of the first things people look at are the 3d models and graphics. First impressions count and when a potential new player sees a confusing mix of stunning 3d models and shockingly dated 90's monstrosities that elicit Minecraft jokes. At that stage you are already well and truly on the defensive trying to promote the game to potential new players.
  17. Thanks Silver_Dragon. I was not even aware of that in your sig. Already subscribed to your You Tube channel which is helpful for keeping abreast of developments and news. Keep up the good work. :) Many of the models mentioned in my brief list I consider to be essential for mission building. As mentioned by someone else here already for example the SH-60B is an absolute shocker and just kills the immersion when viewing it in-game. Same goes for others such as the C-17A, Tu-95/152 series and other classic cold war aircraft seriously from the DCS World. Does ED actually plan on fixing all these old models?
  18. With ED currently having four top notch looking maps (including the overhauled Caucasus) and an ever growing number of playable aircraft modules with gorgeous 3d models, why is it that there are still dozens upon dozens of incredibly dated 3d models residing within the DCS World ecosystem? The sheer number of early 2000's LOMAC 3D models is a significant weakness for ED to bring new customers/players into the DCS World. Below is just a quick list of not obscure vehicles/equipment that look like something from my son playing Minecraft. I really hope ED will work to clean up the large remaining number of 10-15 year old 3Dmodels as a priority even more so now that there are further new maps on the horizon. Perhaps ED could give some sort of idea on what the plan is for cleaning up this ugly blight on the DCS World? Extremely dated 3D models (not exhaustive): B-52H C-17A F-14A (Understand Heatblur working on this as part of F-14 module) F-4E (Understand being worked on as a module) Mig-23 Mig-25RBT Mig-25PD S-3B Su-17M4 Su-30 Tu-142M Tu-95 CH-53E SH-60B Various Gaz and Ural trucks Albatros (Grisha) Neustrashimy Grisha-5 Tango SA-6 Roland Radar (separate vehicle) Various GAZ trucks Ural truck Numerous civilian trucks, cars and buses
  19. If you look at the Hornet Mini Updates thread it is no different. It has posts from Wags on what they are working on and it has links and additional info relating to instructional you tube videos on certain aircraft features.
  20. Thanks again to =Decoy= from Razbam for answering my question in confirming that the monthly video updates have been ceased and as to how Razbam will be updating customers on module progress in future. Hope to see the Harrier finalized in the coming months and be able to enjoy some time in 2020 a module to rival the Tomcat.
  21. This is good news that BD is working on the official Harrier manual. Hopefully this means that we could see the AV-8B N/A into release candidate in the coming six months.
  22. Definitely go get yourself a Ryzen 3600. Then when you have the money you can look to upgrade the GPU.
  23. This sounds good, pardon the pun.
  24. Firstly =DECOY=, thanks for the clear and concise reply. That is disappointing to hear as I found the update summary videos every month or two quite useful as a customer to see what progress has been made and what is coming ahead in the future. I still think that some form of company bulletin/newsletter every couple of months or even quarterly would be greatly beneficial and appreciated by owners such as myself on progress of existing modules and of any new prospective modules in the pipeline. And I also feel that such "quarterly company updates" would be best served being posted on media platforms including such as here on the Official ED Forums. As a long time customer and owner of two of the three modules that have so far been produced by Razbam I guess I will just have to be content with hanging and feeding off little tidbits of official Razbam info here and there whenever and wherever they may appear.
