It has been over two and a half months since the last Razbam update video, a July update to be specific. Can we expect anything in the next few weeks in particular with regards to the still early access AV-8B N/A Harrier and also the M2K? We are now a little over a month away from reaching the two year anniversary of this module being out in early access with no clear idea or timeline as to when this module will move to release candidate and what the final feature list will be. Some information and communication from the Razbam team would be most appreciated. :)

Heatblur Development Update - Thunder & Cat
Konovalov replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Heatblur have set the benchmark for what an early access module should be. And this update provides a good road map and understanding of what to expect in the coming months. If only other developers followed a similar model and methodology with regards to their products. The future looks bright for Tomcat drivers. :pilotfly::thumbup: -
Polychop Simulations OH-58D Kiowa
Konovalov replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
While I am interested in this potential module I will not commit to it until such time as the wishy washy flight model of the Gazelle is redressed. If Polychop were to resolve this issue then I am sure they will get many more people willing to commit to the OH-58D. -
Agreed. And when realistically loaded, in other words not every pylon crammed with it's extensive ATG goodness, it actually flies pretty ok.

The F-5E is in my opinion the perfect full fidelity module to learn as being a 3rd generation fighter it's systems do not have the depth and complexity of say modules like the A-10C or the Hornet. It's a fun little aircraft to fly and learn the basics of flying and navigation, BFM techniques, along with some old school air to ground work thrown in for good measure.

100% common sense words. I would just love to see the M2000 and AV8B N/A completed this year. I look forward to a Razbam development update video in the not to distant future on plans for closing these two modules off.

Enigma6584, nice video and mission. Is this mission available to download? If not could you kindly share?

[NOT A BUG, ZOOM NOT ACCURATE] Plat Cam zoom
Konovalov replied to Nealius's topic in View and Spotting Bugs
Can someone from ED step up to the plate and explain or address this please? Either kindly fix the problem or explain the rational behind this change so to end the speculation and/or conspiracy theories. -
It's Easter for goodness sake. I am sure a Hornet mini-update will be on the cards soon. :) The Hornet has had quite a bit of new and improved stuff added recently.

Nice vid with the official TG soundtrack used. I'm dribbling all over the keyboard.

** DCS: F-14 Manual Early Access Release!! **
Konovalov replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
It definitely works the download. Just takes a bit of time. File size was 243MB after saved to my PC. Let the reading commence as I am guessing the module will take a few hours to download on my crappy ADSL 2+ internet once it is released in the next dozen or so hours. :pilotfly: -
** DCS: F-14 - Ambush! - COMING MARCH 13!! **

Oh my god. These next two weeks will seem like an eternity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
100% agree. Do not "chase the basket".

I too have been extremely frustrated where things are with the Harrier and I have made that known. However I do not see the point in people here on this forum just constantly repeating their disappointment or frustration over and over again. It is pretty obvious Viper2097 on how you feel but do you need to turn almost every topic into a whinge fest? Because that is what it has become here, just one big whinge fest. Please give it a rest. Fly another module as I am doing while Razbam work on bringing the Harrier out of it's early access state later this year hopefully.
-
Thanks guys, that is very interesting.

Totally agree. At the end of the day Razbam had direct feedback from Harrier pilots who I think it is reasonable to presume flew the actual Razbam Harrier module along with written/verbal feedback so I have no reason to question the flight model.

See what on the Mig-23. Good luck Mig-23 pilots is all I can say. By the way I love the Aircrew Interview channel.

Feedback and suggestions on getting started videos
Konovalov replied to David OC's topic in Community News
Nice work David OC. Have subscribed to your channel. Like me it sounds like you don't have NBN yet. Still stuck on ADSL 2. :( -
+1 These are critical IMO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I understand the scepticism given that in June of last year Razbam claimed that the Harrier would be complete by close of 2018. That is why I said my hope was it would be complete middle this year 2019. It's just a hope nothing more. And given the delays I will not be buying the Mig-19 or any other modules from either Razbam, ED or any third party developer until I see the Harrier come out of early access. For me to own a module in early access for more than 18 months is something I just cannot stomach anymore. Finally given the list of other aircraft projects the plus variant of the US Harrier could be years away if at all.

Almost embarrassed to admit this but the A-10A as it was my first love in the original Lock On days and even now I still enjoy having a quick flight in this FC3 aircraft despite the lower level of fidelity, no clickable cockpit, and no smart weapons apart from the AGM-65's.

I think we will see the Harrier Night Attack get the love it truly deserves and it is my hope that it comes out of Early Access by the middle of this year as it has been in early access for 13 to 14 months. Razbam have said they will provide more information shortly on what their exact plans are as far as completing the M2K and Harrier modules. If Razbam do actually get around to doing the + variant with the radar I do not expect that to happen this year as I think it is dependant on ED's ground radar technology they are working on for the Hornet and there doesn't seem to be any indication of that happening any time soon. I just want to see the current N/A variant completed before I even contemplate spending money on any other Early Access module.

You have a very simple choice to either buy into Early Access or don't. Some for example are very happy to fly the Hornet from day one of it's EA which was very limited compared to it's full capabilities, systems and weapons while others simply prefer to wait for the module to come out of EA. The solution is in your own hands.

I am just as frustrated like many here (9 page long thread) on the perceived by many slow progress of the Harrier since it was released into Early Access back on 29th November 2017. It is also however pretty clear from the below post by DECOY that Razbam understand the frustration of customers and are working to address these by providing clear communication of what still needs to be done with regards to bugs and missing features to bring the Harrier out of it's early access current state which it has now been in for 14 months. As I said earlier I have become fairly frustrated with where things are at but I also have to admit that perhaps I did not understand as well as I could have the whole Early Access game release model that has been increasingly used by game developers in recent years. Also the recent debacle that occurred with 3rd party developer VEAO and the HAWK has probably heightened frustrations, doubts and left a pretty bad taste in customers minds. While I think developers can do better there is also an onus on the customer to understand the meaning and implications of purchasing a product via the early access route. ED did explain this on a newsletter last year which I have cut and paste below. So I will just close by saying lets patiently wait for Razbam to communicate what exactly the plans are for 2019 with regards to the Harrier and the M2K with the hope and expectation that we see both these modules in a final state as soon as possible this year. :)
