I think we will see the Harrier Night Attack get the love it truly deserves and it is my hope that it comes out of Early Access by the middle of this year as it has been in early access for 13 to 14 months. Razbam have said they will provide more information shortly on what their exact plans are as far as completing the M2K and Harrier modules. If Razbam do actually get around to doing the + variant with the radar I do not expect that to happen this year as I think it is dependant on ED's ground radar technology they are working on for the Hornet and there doesn't seem to be any indication of that happening any time soon. I just want to see the current N/A variant completed before I even contemplate spending money on any other Early Access module.

You have a very simple choice to either buy into Early Access or don't. Some for example are very happy to fly the Hornet from day one of it's EA which was very limited compared to it's full capabilities, systems and weapons while others simply prefer to wait for the module to come out of EA. The solution is in your own hands.

I am just as frustrated like many here (9 page long thread) on the perceived by many slow progress of the Harrier since it was released into Early Access back on 29th November 2017. It is also however pretty clear from the below post by DECOY that Razbam understand the frustration of customers and are working to address these by providing clear communication of what still needs to be done with regards to bugs and missing features to bring the Harrier out of it's early access current state which it has now been in for 14 months. As I said earlier I have become fairly frustrated with where things are at but I also have to admit that perhaps I did not understand as well as I could have the whole Early Access game release model that has been increasingly used by game developers in recent years. Also the recent debacle that occurred with 3rd party developer VEAO and the HAWK has probably heightened frustrations, doubts and left a pretty bad taste in customers minds. While I think developers can do better there is also an onus on the customer to understand the meaning and implications of purchasing a product via the early access route. ED did explain this on a newsletter last year which I have cut and paste below. So I will just close by saying lets patiently wait for Razbam to communicate what exactly the plans are for 2019 with regards to the Harrier and the M2K with the hope and expectation that we see both these modules in a final state as soon as possible this year. :)

Razbam have just mentioned link here that they will soon provide a up to date status of what the missing and new features are still to be added for 2019. I would presume that we then get a proper flight manual at the time that the Harrier comes out of early access which I only hope is by middle of 2019 latest.

That is good news that the Razbam monthly update video will be out this weekend. And also good to hear that a list of missing features and improvements for the Harrier will be explained officially by Razbam in the not too distant future. I for one want an idea of when my Harrier will come out of early access and be feature complete along with a proper flight manual. I really hope that this will be complete by middle of 2019.

Slowly but surely the capabilities of this platform are being realised.

My suggestion would be to look at some You Tube vids by people such as Spudknocker and you will find there is plenty to enjoy with this aircraft while it not being in final release build. Each to their own. If it looks like it is something you will enjoy then go for it.

Do the GPU upgrade first, 100%. You will see a big jump in performance. I went from a 970 to a 1070 for 1440p gaming and it was a big difference. No brainer that one.

Wifi antenna.

Ravenndd, Suggest you start a completely new topic rather than bring up this old thread which also has no relation to your question. Your jagged shadows problem would have nothing to do with resolution format. It would be a settings issue in either the game or Nvidia settings.

Did a major system overhaul Christmas 2017 and with that put in a 2 x 16GB (32GB total) 3200Mhz kit of Corsair RAM. Glad I did that instead of a 2 x 8GB (16GB total) kit. Don't expect I will need to upgrade to 64GB total but if I do I still have two spare slots for that. Just noticed that I need to upgrade my sig with new rig details from my Christmas 2017 build. Still showing my ancient X58 platform based rig which my son now has.

Awesome news. Subscribed on I-Tunes and listening to your first one now. By the way love Tricker DCS vids on YouTube.

Is it not to indicate that you have one module that you have purchased but not yet installed within DCS?

:lol::lol: May as well throw in a chunky binder manual like the Falcon 4 days. Still have mine on the book shelf. Those days will never return.

I expect such things will be showcased over the next few months as part of build up to the early access release.

** DCS-F14 PRE-ORDER NOW AVAILABLE! Gameplay Reveal Video Update **
Konovalov replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I'm in, just waiting on my mate if he will get back into flying in DCS. If so then we will buy the two pack for slightly greater discount. Would be a dream to fly together as pilot and RIO in this awesome iconic bird. -
What new feature of the Hornet are you most looking forward to?
Konovalov replied to Wags's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
HARM first and foremost along with the new array of smart/guided weapons that have so far not been represented in any of the existing aircraft in DCS. Also the Air to Ground radar and the JHMCS not that the AIM-9X isn't already a beast. -
Thank you Wags and ED for the detailed update. I've gone from Flaker 2.0, LOMAC, Flaming Cliffs and now DCS. Promising times ahead.

I don’t even know if a release date has been announced yet fo the ROG X Formula. How much was it on pre-order there? In Australia there is the Hero and Apex then the Strix and lower end Asus stuff. Code and Formula no idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Early this year I was considering a new build and was reading that memory prices were on the up for the remainder of 2017. So I ended up back in February 2017 purchasing a kit of Corsair Vengeance White LED 32GB (2x 16GB) DDR4 3200MHz Memory for AUD $352.99. The price of this exact same kit now, barely 9 months later here in Australia is AUD $648.98. Not far off double what I payed for it! So in this instance it was definitely a case of winner winner chicken dinner for me. Normally when I look to building a rig I buy all of my parts at once and have never bought a part here and a part there over a two or three month period as some people do. However in this instance I convinced myself that I may as well buy the system RAM now while I am deciding on a new build. As it turned out it payed off big time because still I am yet to build my rig as I waited based on rumours that Intel were going to bring Coffee Lake forward to a 2017 release. So now I am just waiting on Asus to release their ROG Maximums X Formula and Code (rumoured to release later this November) before deciding on which of the two boards to pair with an i7-8700K. I expect to have built before Christmas.

New computer and activation questions
Konovalov replied to Cskelly's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yes you should deactivate all your modules before uninstalling and then reinstalling in your new rig. 3DRM activations has nothing to do with playing the campaign 3 times. It means you can deactivate and deactivate it three times which relates to Dolores point above. Even then when you use all activations you can request them reinstated. Bit, I am going to replace my dinosaur of a rig with a 8700K but I am waiting for Asus to release the Code and Formula to decide on which mobo to get. I have everything else on-hand and also recently purchased from EK the P360 kit to do my first custom water cooling loop. I have also purchased a GPU block. I'm just not sure if I should plump the extra cash on the formula and do the loop with mobo VRM, CPU and GPU. The fact I have a 360 rad water lop means there is absolutely no point cooling just the CPU with it. Has to be at least CPU and GPU combo and perhaps the mobo. Anyway I will be building hopefully around Christmas. I just can't see the need for the loads of PCI-E lanes with my PC usage. So yeah Z370 mainstream for me. Good luck with your decision.

Is upgrading GPU and RAM enough?
Konovalov replied to L-39beeratros's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Nope he cannot overclock this chip unless he plays with the FSB of 100Mhz which is not a good idea. Given that the CPU is going to be s bottleneck with cards like the 1070 and above. DCS loves clock speed of 4Ghz plus so my advise is that if DCS is your thing, then save up for a totally new rig. -
Asus mobo's for me all the way. Since my Intel Core 2 Due E6600 have always had Asus without issue. Currently have a 7 year old X58 Asus P6X58D-E saddled to a i7-950 and have overclocked this to over 4.2Ghz problem free. Asus also make great mobo manuals.
