Looks promising.
-
Yep and anything else would be a welcome bonus.
-
Razbam have made very clear that they aim to complete the Harrier and M2K in 2020.

I share the sentiments of many here in that I would like to see significant progress made on the actual DCS World platform itself. I know ED have been upfront is saying that half of the entire ED team is working on core features and that is great. The last module I purchased was the Viper and I don't see myself spending any further money on new modules (with the exception of new maps) until the core of DCS World is improved from its current state. 2020 does sound promising and with that I wait in anticipation to what ED will bring to the core DCS World.:)

Headless Gusto looks fantastic.

It originally was titled Strait of Hormuz by ED however I think the marketing boffins decided to change its name to PG to accommodate to geographically illiterate.
-
Exactly spot on. Razbam communication to customers has been mixed at best. The monthly video updates were nice until they were dropped due to customer criticism which I found a none too convincing explanation. I would have been happy with some simple official Razbam monthly or even quarterly statement on progress of modules and plans. But hopefully lessons have been learned and 2020 will see good progress with completion of the Harrier and M2K modules along with solid communication of the progress being made on these. Thank you for ending much speculation probably resulting in some wild expectations.

Supercarrier and helicopters operations
Konovalov replied to nessuno0505's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
Yep. Would be a waste of ED's finite manpower. If there was a helo module like a SH-60/MH-60 Seahawk then by all means it would be a worthwhile project. -
Probably because there is no new information to provide on the Mirage III. The Malvinas Falkland map you can fly any aircraft you like.

If that does turn out to be the case then the Mudhen by Razbam would be a hollow bird for me and I simply wouldn’t buy it. But let’s wait and see when some real meat appears on the development bones of the F-15E. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I really hope that this turns out not to be the case. As you rightly highlighted, what is the point of the Mudhen if it is just going to be a nicer looking and slightly better modelled version of Janes F-15E? None as I see it and you would just be better off doing the single seat F-15C. I am however going to just wait and see what Razbam can come up with in the hope that lessons have and are being learned by both them and ED. Clearly multiplayer implementation in the early days of DCS World has been problematic for both ED and many 3rd party developers with Heatblur being the only ones who have IMO successfully implemented a truly rewarding and enjoyable multiplayer experience. So I will just temper my expectations on the F-15E regarding its feature set and release date with a cool, calm and collected wait and see approach. For 2020 all I expect is for both the Mirage 2000 and the Harrier AV-8B N/A to be completed, feature complete and near bug free. I don't think that is unreasonable or asking too much.

Every day it is getting closer. [emoji12] Seriously though I haven’t heard or seen anything official from either Razbam or ED to indicate that the Mudhen will be arriving to us in early access any time in 2020. I’d love the F-15E and Mig-23Mla as much as anybody else but first I want to see the Mirage 2000 and Harrier AV-8B N/A completed. As the title of a Metallica song goes, “Nothing Else Matters”. Ok that sounds good as far as some further features. Will hold for more info and clarity and these and existing issues within the Av-8 module. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

100%. And my commitment to this and any other Razbam future module is contingent on both the Harrier and M2k being completed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Mig-23 model looks promising and certainly it would be a Soviet era aircraft that I would be keenly interested in. However the purchase of such module would be dependant on feature complete and near as to bug free Harrier and Mirage modules first in 2020.

Merry Christmas to Razbam and all. :xmas::xmas::xmas: May 2020 be the year that my AV-8B NA Harrier comes out of early access and is completed. And then perhaps I can dream of a Mudhen in 2021 or whenever that would be.
-
Compare and contrast Razbam against an even smaller 3rd party developer in Aviodev. Aviodev have been constantly improving their C-101 trainer over the last 12 months and the communication of that progress has been excellent. I really hope that Razbam will do the same for the Harrier in 2020.

Awesome news and thank you for the latest in a stream of updates, fixes, and improvements.

30fps max on Ryzen 3700X
Konovalov replied to CaptCanada65's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have a 1070 just as you do and it is paired with an i7-8700k as per my sig specs. The 1070 was not really aimed at 4k gaming but rather 1440p. I really just believe that you are asking too much of that 1070 GPU to drive all those pixels on your 4k monitor at anything approaching 60 FPS. My suspicion is that you will need to up your GPU firepower to meet your expectations. Everything else in your system is fine for DCS though if I were to nit pick then I would also increase the RAM to 32GB. 2080 Super may be the way to go. -
More terrain content variety has got to be good thing for DCS. This looks not too shabby at all from Razbam.

Release pressure on stick, bring nose down, and increase throttle. :megalol: This is only the start of year 3 for early access with the Harrier. No one I think has any idea of how many more months or years it will remain in early access. Perhaps after the M2K gets its love then the Harrier will be next. :music_whistling:

Great video as always Redkite. Certainly an interesting aircraft that will provide for some interesting mission designs. One of the key things pointed out by Redkite is that this aircraft is not going to be able to conduct multiple mission roles in a single flight. It neither has the range or payload capability to fulfil multiple roles in a single sortie. I am quite impressed by the near complete state that this will be released in. My hat off to Deka Ironworks for that.
