  1. Oh is that what the solid line means? :megalol::pilotfly:
  2. When you start world does the A-10 have a dollar sign over it or is it clear? Dollar sign means the program thinks you haven't bought it. Also try starting in multiplayer.
  3. Agreed that he at least has the gumption to make a tutorial. Best advice is to actually learn the subject before offering training on it.:pilotfly:
  4. Did you try to repair world? If so and it worked you should note it here. This type of issue is exactly why repair was added.
  5. Common mistake. Entering the transaction code from the email instead of the key.
  6. Try goining to a mp server with teamspeak and ask for some pointers. Usually you'll find someone willing to help. You'll also find a better mix. Some will be easier to kill and some will be much better than the AI.
  7. Consider updating it and cutting out the prep mistakes and using auto pilot during the approach. Fighting the joystick while targeting and diving in isn't what newcomers should be doing.
  8. It's been reported elsewhere. Will probably have to wait for the next patch but keep your eye out. Sometimes people have solutions that can be done by modifying the .lua files.
  9. Yup really Downloading it now
  10. Just back from a trip and didn't find a post on it yet. So how's the Huey mod? Any thumbs up or down?
  11. This is the level I'd like to see. Maybe someday :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUMxZ34Ptco
  12. You should rule out the possibility it's the throttle sending a shutdown command. Try re-mapping so that both engines run off of the left throttle lever. Done in the Axis section. Assign throttle both to the left throttle and unassign the left and right. If it is happening you should also be able to look at the throttle on screen around the time it happens to see if it moves on it's own.
  13. Funny stuff.
  14. Hello It's probably already on the list but whenever I hit Alt esc to switch apps while in game, shortly after returning the program stops responding and shuts down. I often have to re-boot to get it to run again. The reason I switch out is usually to do something with teamspeak, such as start it or check out who is talking. <S>
  15. Happened to me several times and as a result I stopped flying in servers with fast movers. I was told that it is normal and is because the F-15 uses a pulse radar.
  16. And before that everything was direct dial. There would be a thing called bulletin boards, which were a text based version of a forum. You called the number directly with your modem (and paid the phone charges). To play a 1 on 1 game you both would start the game and one person would dial into the other. I remember my first multiplayer flight with Falcon AT around 89 with my brother in law.
  17. To see through clouds set the tgp to dark mode and adjust the intensity. I don't know what thickness it will see through but definetely does.
  18. When you go into inventory it knows the mav is there. Almost looks like the mission you are flying wants a specific loadout. Try going to multiplayer and see if it does it there. It could also be a bug in single player. Does it do this with all missions?
  19. try C:/users/your profile name/saved games/dcs/tracks It's good to know where they are because every time you fly it makes a track file. They can get quite large and fill up your hard drive. Just delete them every couple of weeks if not needed. Anyhow just get the one with today's date and the time you ran the flight in question
  20. Yup, that's it Chances are you are changing the configuration after the initial load. It's fine but you have to reload as Viper noted.
  21. From page 271 of the manual Station. Between the OSB and the box is a numeric of the station number. For example, OSB 6 will have a "7" between it and the station details box. For station 6, this numeric is displayed above the box. If the station has an error, this will be replaced by an letter failure code (H, I, P, or F). Page 272 shows the following: In place of the Station indicator numeric between an OSB and Weapon Station Box, a letter code may be used to indicate a failure in the station. These include: H This would indicate a hung store. I This would indicate a mismatch between what is specified in the profile and what is set in the inventory P There is no profile that contains the weapon loaded on the indicated station. F This would indicate a station fault
  22. Why don't you 2 just get a room :music_whistling::megalol:
  23. Over time you won't even think of it much. You'll find what works for you and do it instinctively, not unlike driving a car. I like to play around with landings to avoid boredom. Things like going in hot and using max air brakes and rudder slides to speed up the landing, or max altitude/slope landing. I'd even recommend trying to land at the lowest possible speed, just to give yourself a feel for the aircraft and it's limits. The more you try and learn the more you will master the plane. IRL you'll see military pilots do all sorts of things. My first exposure to this was at Dover airforce base. I watched C-5's spiral from high altitude and flare out perfectly over the runway. I thought the first one was crashing before someone there told me it was normal. They were practicing this because in hostile areas they like to descend over safe territory and away from ground fire.
  24. did you try programming in the axis section? The slider probably won't work for the speed brakes because that function doesn't need it. Any 3 way button can be mapped, just push to hold.
  25. if you have a twist stick the twist will steer the plane with nws on.
