One biggie that I hope is included is the ability for more than one aircraft to be on the runway when taking off. Maybe a request for formation takeoff etc.

I'm curious what the actual improvements will be. Actual change in responses and traffic flow or simply fixing bugs in the current system?

Does DCSW really need more than 4Gb of RAM?
Hamblue replied to Gloom Demon's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Here's a link to one of the tweak guides. They all pretty much tell you to do the same things. http://blog.ocztechnology.com/?p=178 -
Deleted docs mysteriously reappear

Keep your SSD under 75% or so capacity and you'll be fine. ( I keep mine under 50). As noted in another thread using a tweak guide will help. If using one of those guides the SSD will easily outlast any normal drive. Edit: Here's a link to one of the guides. They all pretty much say to do the same things. http://blog.ocztechnology.com/?p=178 -

Also depends on your os. If using 32 bit your machine can only access 3.5 to 4 gig. If running 64 bit I'd recommend more ram. Your hard drive will run less and you'll be ready for the upcoming 64 bit version of world which will definitely use more. I noticed your sig shows a Samsung 640 pro SSD. Have you referenced a tweak guide for SSD's? If not you should. It includes turning off swap drive on the SSD and moving it to the mechanical drive, or off all together if you don't have a mechanical drive. 8 gig or more is recommended if the swap drive is off. -
The July 26th Wags Update! Thread

I count 6 clicks between broken and fixed. Does that indicate the average patches needed to get a problem fixed? :music_whistling::D -
Engine start up after repair from flame out
Hamblue replied to xaoslaad's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
That's what caused the problem for me before figuring it out. After extinguishing the fire I now push the handle back in so I don't forget when it comes time to repair. -
Cant connect to ANY server on the DCS multiplayer room
Hamblue replied to theack777's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Try selecting repair in the start menu. Also try updating DCS World -
Mine will stay in motor but have to hold in IGN position, exactly opposite.

One of the best places to look up basic maneuvers is the Aces High site since they're based on WWII aircraft. Energy management is something prop planes and slower aircraft (like the A-10) have to deal with. Just type barrel roll in the search and you'll find bunches of tips. http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php?board=10.0

As long as you don't make anything offensive like a missile that looks like a male body part you'd probably be fine.

With practice you can learn to rifle the mav's off at a fast pace. If the targets are relatively close you start with the first target setting it as SPI and tms up short assigning the first mav to it. Don't forget to china hat short forward to zoom. After the first shot, hit china hat forward again to zoom, steer to 2nd target , tms up short and fire. Repeat with the rest. Once again with practice you can get a mav off every few seconds and empty 6 in one run with ease. Even more practice and you can get the 6 mavs off followed by a cbu or 2.:pilotfly:

Same here, my ssd loads much faster than a standard HDD. The 1.5 gig core i5 with standard laptop drive is probably the culprit.

Here's their website: http://www.speedmaster2.de/spmshop/product_info.php?language=en&info=p43_speedmaster-flight.html& They even use the Warthog in their demo pics.

Weren't on the US Front lines. F-15 development started in the mid to late 60's. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_P-51_Mustang F-51s flew in the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard throughout the 1950s. The last American USAF Mustang was F-51D-30-NA AF Serial No. 44-74936, which was finally withdrawn from service with the West Virginia Air National Guard in late 1956 and retired to what was then called the Air Force Central Museum, although it was briefly reactivated to fly at the 50th anniversary of the Air Force Aerial Firepower Demonstration at the Air Proving Ground, Eglin AFB, Florida, on 6 May 1957.[42] This aircraft, painted as P-51D-15-NA Serial No. 44-15174, is on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright-Patterson AFB, in Dayton, Ohio.[43]

I also think that there isn't a single focus but it might not be a bad thing. What I do think is a bad thing is that a few years into the product line and we have a product called "World" that only encompasses an area about 1/4th the size of Iraq. With fast moving jets it's like swimming in a bath tub. Maybe Edge will surprise us and give us something more but even becoming an add on to another program like Xplane would make more sense. Just my 2 cents, Keep the change ;)

While having improved sea side ops is nice and all IMO it's not the best use of development time and taking the eyes off the ball. I think it's about time we see additional maps. The current region is nice but much lesser titles had more a decade ago. Even expanding the current map 10 miles would be an improvement. This title is recognized as a top notched air based simulator. Yes carriers are air based but very limited in the current available theater. Just my 2 cents. Keep the change

Ground based anti-ship defenses to keep ships from operating too close to land(and something for planes to attack)

Pauli, if the EGI light you see is on the right side that means it isn't working.

If you were going to learn to fly for real you wouldn't do all 3 at the same time. Pick one and learn it. The A-10 is the easiest to actually fly but the hardest to learn because of the vast options of the avionics and weapons systems. Best thing to do is pick one or 2 topics at a time and master them, then pick another. This includes weapons. The learning never ends. Good Luck

Looks correct to me. The HUD looks like it's pointing to 355. I don't know what the 177 is but it's not the direction. Were the pictures taken the same time. The 170 is a relative angle that you have to turn to get there. If you had just passed it the angle would be correct.

If somehow you got by without trimming in the past, welcome to the real world. The Hog likes to be stroked (trimmed)constantly.

Rudder is also needed when landing with a strong cross wind.

Try tuning a bit. I've settled with: Mirrors off Civ traffic off Water Medium Heat Blur off MSAA 8x (could try lower) HDR off Bushes 400m Trees 9000 m Preload max

Any chance it could be the rotor movement in the view? Guess it could be checked by looking down in the cockpit to get it out of view? Also being that the Huey is in Beta maybe they have debugging code still active?
