  1. Mad_Max2, I love that idea, in the mission creation window for the stennis, have a tab which lists all the parking locations with a check box next to it for enabling/disabling the location for both Spawn/Despawn
  2. Cycling the Flaps Auto -> Half -> Full -> Half -> Auto, seems to reset the trim, you can do this very quickly. The flaps do not have to actually move to those positions for this to work.
  3. I think pressing and holding the 'A/P' button on the UFC seemed to clear it for me..?
  4. Took me forever to figure it out reading through the tons of posts and trail and error... What I've learned: 1. FCS Page is your best friend for Trim 2. Trim is very slow, watch it move on the FCS Page 3. T/O Trim sets trim stabs to 12° Nose Up 3. Cycling flaps from Full - Half - Auto, resets T/O Trim 4. Setting Full Flaps & T/O on carrier launch will throw M/C Check Flaps 5. Check Checklist Page for current weight & Check FCS Page for current Stab Trim 6. Carrier Takeoff is always 16° or greater Nose Up depending on weight (<44,000lbs - 16°, 45,000 - 48,000lbs 17°, >49,000lbs - 19°) 7. Small corrections in Trim take a second or two it really be noticable 8. If you think you need to hold the Trim for 1 sec to see the desired effect, Trim for 0.5 sec and wait the other 0.5 sec to see if that was enough 9. Finally, the Hornet should auto-trim "mostly" for On-Speed AOA but you will still have to add input This is just kinda my things I keep in the back of my head while flying... not sure if that's 100% perfect... good luck
  5. I thought it did automatically to, but I noticed that my IFFE would read like: 9800T 9750I then i would look later and see 8500T 8450I Like both my external tanks and internal tanks are feeding at the same time or am I completely off the glide slope here?
  6. Kinda like you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink... :megalol:
  7. Is there a way to select which fuel tank to feed from while in cruse? For example, if I am flying to a target, I do not want to use half of my internal/external tanks and jettison external tanks if I get intercepted leaving me with not enough fuel to fight my way out and get to a tanker...?
  8. Hey fellow Pilots, this was my first attempt at evening/night traps and could use some pointers. I am still having trouble with throttle creep/velocity vector sinking/climbing... I fly VR only, it is about an hour long with a little pause in the middle to kill time so i could trap when it got darker and to enjoy the setting sun visuals and wing flex :pilotfly:... I wasn't going to post this but I want to get better. Link to my track: https://drive.google.com/open?id=19gjVM0EksrjSmHj0FtAbItQQWTVI1JbD

  10. Assign the mouse nipple to a joystick, although the one on my old x-52 pro was not the most... sensitive...
  11. How do you reset the trim? I trim the plane to land on a carrier, I land, flaps to auto, line up to take off, flaps to half, press and hold the T/O trim, and I am always getting Check Trim caution...
  12. The last live stream Wags did, demonstrated this very thing. See the beginning of the start up at 6:39 here:
  13. This will likely not happen because if you didn't know, Steam takes a cut of the profits on the store page. While the exact amount is not readily known, some informational websites have stated it can be upwards of 30% of the sale price. If this is the rate Steam is charging ED then selling this module at the 25% ($59.99) rate will only net about $41.99 USD after the Steam Royalties. [($79.99 - 25%) - 30%]
  14. +1, Your best bet would be to get a price quote for say 100 copies once we know how many pages it would be in both B&W and Color. Then we could go from there.

  16. That was the first picture, I still have to clean up everything. Also, got some questions about the X55, I get ghost buttons and weird axis readings, and programming is a pain. I unplugged everything the lead into the throttle and I reopened the base, I cut the Black wire to the glue and not to the board. The Y Rotation moves both the X Rotation and Z Axis a little bit which has made programming it a pain... occasionally button 1, 2, 4 have gone off as a ghost but they are not programmed and got around it by not pressing one of the switches very hard. seemed a genital touch stops the ghosting. dunno why.
  17. Not the best, but my first attempt at a home pit for VR. Semi-modeled for the Hornet/Harrier. My knowledge level for electrical engineering prevents me from making my own buttons boxes and my even "poorer" scripting capability is causing issues programming the Warthog and Saitek/Logitech Switch Panel... I will hopefully figure it all out by the time the F-18 gets released in "two weeks"... :D  https://imgur.com/RbMOHs6
  18. The issue is that when you are in the warthog, the default position the pilot is in, is leaning forward. Its annoying but really quite easy to work around. Simply lean forward a bit and use the recenter button. This will tell the game that you sitting further forward is the location you should be and the game will recenter there, thus when you lean back to where you want to sit is more natural, and just like in all the pictures of warthog pilots going in for attack runs, they lean forward. This is what I do before I do anything else, takes like 2 seconds and after a few times you get used to it. Or you can bind some buttons in the cockpit view sections to do this mechanically.
  19. I would love to be able to switch the hats around, but it also depends on how far along Thrustmaster is on their end and what the cost would be for TM do accomplish this. For all we know they are in the final stages for mass production and are only waiting on ED to finish their part for early access. Or being able to switch hats might require a different housing and its quite possible they already have them purchased from a vendor or built.
  20. Petsild, Thank you! That is a lot more subtle than I thought it would have been. I agree a video would probably do it a better justice. Thank you anyways!!!
  21. My flying rig is current not up as I am building a new desk, would someone be kind enough to post a picture of how it looks now. I am dying to see how good the mustang looks with the prop back. Something I've been missing for years! Thanks
  22. Thanks everyone for your replies. @Gladman, can you point me to that locations because I guess I did miss that banner. I looked at https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/ where I assumed information like that would be located. If it was, I simply missed it.
  23. Pilots, I am experiencing the same shuttering as everyone else in VR, even though I am running an EVGA 1080 Ti FE. The question I have is, would it be beneficial to run DCS VR in SLI or should I just wait until the next batch of NVidia cards come out next year?
  24. Is there any way to speed up the rate in which you zoom in? Sometimes it feels like it takes over 2-3 seconds to fully zoom...
