  1. They are a little smaller, I think about an inch too small, but i dont really notice. I just added a bunch of hot glue on buttons or made custom button surfaces so I can feel which button I am pressing.
  2. I was talking about already removing the throttle grip since I had repaired the broken wires twice and one if the rotary axis completely broke off. After removing the throttle some of the buttons that were no longer attached to the base were triggering but this has since stopped for me. I guess the phantom pain of having your throttle grip ripped off finally went away... :)
  3. Buckeye, how much extra is he going to charge you for the custom modifications?
  4. +1 confirmed on my end too.
  5. Squirrel is correct. Moving the Rudder trim to the right adds left trim visually to surfaces of the vertical stabilizer, ONLY. The aircraft will still trim to the right. This is most definitely a visual bug and NOT A CONTROLLER ISSUE. I tested this with the default Keyboard and Mouse only. No other inputs are currently hooked up.
  6. How feasible would it be to ask if you could buy just the throttle body and housing without all the electronic components and rig up something by exchanging the warthog parts and installing them on thottletek?
  7. Phase 2 is nearing completion... just awaiting a few more items...
  8. I did the swap and the barrel distortion is applied to the VR core system from what I can tell. It really is night and day different, there is not more ghost ring effect on the edges and the sweet spot is much much large. I haven't noticed any bending textures or distortions and I will not go back to the old lenses. This is the guide I used and was super simple, but have a can of air around as I had to clean the screen twice.
  9. Squirrel, if you are this much trouble with spatial awareness and depth perception from day to night, maybe night formation flying isn't for you my friend... The visual recognition points i.e. the lights do not change position randomly on the aircraft, Lead is not going to say you know what I think I want to move my Nose formation further back on my air frame tonight... That's not how it works, fly in formation during the day, learn how close you need to be, take note of the locations of all the formation lights and other cues, take a mental note of the visual angles and reference points to your cockpit and translate it to night, they are not going to change. Seriously, its like drive in the pitch black at night, how do you not hit the curb, because you just know, you translate the location of the curb in front of you and hold your lane. You are honestly making this much more difficult than it needs to be. Zyll, I am glad you got everything you need. I hope I was of help too.
  10. You gents need to read the patch notes: "Engine Anti-Ice system, doesn't cause caution/advisories - fixed." https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=200724&page=2
  11. On your DDI's have the Checklist Page up, that will show you your Gross Weight and amount of Nose-Up Trim you have applied. To trim, press the Takeoff Trim button located on the Rudder Trim Dial on the Left Console, this will set 12° Nose-Up Trim. Then you have to manually trim for your gross weight by using the Trim button located on the Stick.
  12. If your aircraft is pitching violently nose up, then you are not configured properly for launch. i.e. flaps not half, trim not 16+, an Axis could be double bound to pitch as well... Could you Screen Shot your cockpit view as soon as you start to get pulled on the launcher, (Printscreen). Please have your Checklist DDI and FCS DDI up. We could then better help identify where you might be miss configured.
  13. Since you still cannot seem to grasp the concept of formation lights and position lights here are 5 images captured at night with no moon from the right side of Lead: This is called Breaking it Down Barney Style or By the Numbers... You are too far forward: https://imgur.com/a/Fi0txp0 Wingtip Light is between the Position Light and Rear Formation Light - Ease Power You are lined up for Parade: https://imgur.com/a/zrfNB8A Wingtip Light is almost on top of Position Light You are in the Cruise: https://imgur.com/a/QNPRTPV Wingtip Light is between Position Light and Nose Formation Light - Wingtip Light should be somewhere under the Cockpit Canopy You are slightly too far to the rear of Lead: https://imgur.com/a/C1PuRCk Wingtip Light is to the right of both Position Light and Nose Formation Light - Add Power You are directly behind the aircraft: https://imgur.com/a/01vjIl3 NOTE: You should be slightly lower in altitude compared to Lead's A/C. This can be observed by drawing and imaginary line between the Rear & Nose Horizontal Lights and noting if the Wingtip Light is above or below that line (Wingtip Light Above - you are too low | Wingtip Light Below - you are too high). Also, if you are on the left side of Lead, then the Position Light will not be Blue-Green but Red.
  14. you can lead your AI wingmen to the tanker but you cant make them to tank... Nealius, BSS_Sniper was talking about the several posts that answered his question...
  15. Turnip, the pilots I fly with are having the same issues, A/P seems to remain engaged to an extent even after disengaging the push buttons on the UFC and holding the paddle switch.
  16. This sounds like an axis bind issue, try removing the rudder axis and rebinding it. Then, check it to see if its tuned correctly for you. Also check to make sure that you are not double bound to rudder with an axis on your joystick... this happens to me a lot where I have multiple axis bound to the same control surfaces.
  17. I think the sarcasm is strong with Frederf... :)
  18. Oh great, now they can all go full-semi-automatic... :megalol::doh:
  19. https://imgur.com/a/vBrext9 As for night: WINGTIP FORMATION LIGHT next to POSITION LIGHT (Red left side or Green right side) And Boom Parade line-up.
  20. Some of y'all are toxic, this post was clearly and accurately answered by BOTH BBS_Sniper in post #9 & Jeepyb in #15. The request: "how the lead should be aligned from the wingman's cockpit point of view" The answer as stated in the overhead diagram "Wingman's Line of Sight (wingtip light on LEX light) & Wingman's Line of Sight (no detectable nozzle curve)" That clearly states how lead's aircraft should be aligned to the wingman's cockpit point of view albeit not a perspective image, which by the way was followed up by both myself, BSS_Sniper, and Jeepyb with a perfectly illustrated depiction of the point of view for parade formation. Time of day was not requested in the original post but once again answered by BSS_Sniper and more in depth by Jeepyb. And then to top it off just this morning Lex posted his hour long video on this very topic regarding formations as posted by =4c=Nikola in post #20. As for "Nor can I see how the day references are in the slightest bit useful", Flamin_Squirrel, formation lights are place on aircraft for visual recognition of which way a plane is flying, red/green/white navigation lights and the horizontal / vertical formation lights for night... the placement of said lights for flying was answered and given the distance in which the planes are space are roughly 44-50 feet (13-15 meters) from lead pilot head to wingman's head for parade. There should be no issues observing the reference cues even in VR.
  21. Hey Lex, maybe you should also do a video on the importance of RADALT while descending through thick cloud cover over a mountain range... :) Thank you for making this video as requested moments before the above mentioned scenario... :)
  22. Did you just update your version? If you went a while without updating, there was a patch that changed the afterburner setting and you might think you are full burner but are only in mil power. If this is the case, in the options under special, uncheck the box for afterburner detent.
  23. This very topic has been answered for you in a few other posts... See: For the tutorial
  24. That actually helps a lot as its about 50% of the question. On each wingtip there are formation lights above and below the AIM-9s, and as the picture from NATOPs illustrates, should be positioned and visible on the LEX lights while the Nozzle alignment is flush with your viewing angle. (formation lights for formation flying) What's missing is when to have the lights on/off, its my understanding, is that lights are on from EENT to BMNT, in poor whether / visibility conditions, or mid-air refueling. Someone please correct me with the doctrine correct verbiage.
  25. In the Special Setting window in Options, there is a check box for using he Afterburner Detent. You will need to either check it or uncheck it, I cant remember which.
