  1. Low-pass, but yes, that's my impression too.
  2. Yeah, I'm sure. My impression remained in-flight. Thanks though.
  3. There is no dynamic lighting. It's the same in 1.5. It's been reported lots and I can only assume ED know.
  4. Not completely sure, but I think that's old behaviour.
  5. I just purchased the L-39, and I'm very happy with how it looks and flies; you did a great job. Is it just me, or is the engine a bit too loud from the cockpit? You can always discuss what's more realistic, whether to assume the player is wearing a helmet, etc etc, but compared to other modules, does anyone else think it's a bit loud?
  6. Flat shadows means they're just projected perpendicularly to the object regardless of the surrounding topology, right? If so, I don't really think this is a bug. A limitation, rather?
  7. imgur rehosts: http://i.imgur.com/j9DzVxx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/DoX6nUX.jpg
  8. Images work for me. Looks like the flat shadow setting doing what it's supposed to.
  9. Sounds to me like the textures and mesh don't coincide. We've seen that in several other places in the map.
  10. Flat shadows or not? That's probably the interesting one.
  11. Pic in the OP works for me.
  12. Is the airfield set to friendly? And you should report the F-15 bug.
  13. The 970 is an excellent choice.
  14. As far as I've seen the elevons of the 2000 are huge anyway, so control authority probably hasn't been a problem.
  15. As title. This is in 1.5 as well, so you probably know, but I'm reporting for completeness. When hard locked by anything (I just tested with a Tor), the RWR doesn't give the rapid beeping warning. The initial spike and missile launch warnings work, but not the hard lock tone. This bug should be high on your list, in my opinion. It makes it hard to do anything meaningful in an A-10. EDIT: I just noticed that the circle around the threat symbol on the RWR display, which should also indicate a hard lock, doesn't appear. So, this is deeper than just a sound not playing.
  16. I wasn't planning on spending more to get an i7, it's not really worth it according to most.
  17. So I've been considering if it's worth upgrading my workhorse 2500K, running at 4.4 GHz, either with an i5 4690K or the newer 6600K. The thing is, according to benchmarks for games it hardly seems worth the money. See for example the comments in So, my question: does DCS, being CPU-intensive, give further reason to upgrade? Or can I expect the same small benefits as generic gaming benchmarks show? Has anyone actually upgraded from a 2500k to a newer i5? Thanks!
  18. What exactly are you referring to?
  19. The video was stunning guys, what an aircraft you've made! I'm pre-purchasing for sure.
  20. Just a little protip for when you need to make sure you have a consistent mouse: You should always set the Windows sensitivity to the 6th setting, since then it doesn't scale the input at all. You should then be able to reach a sensitivity you like via your mouse drivers (setting the DPI) and program options. On higher settings than 6, windows moves the mouse more than one pixel for every count it receives from the mouse, meaning that there might even be certain pixles the pointer can't land on. Obviously this isn't that important in DCS, but if you need precision for something else it's worth keeping in mind.
  21. That's very nice of you.
  22. Don't forget that this is IR we're talking about.
  23. Well, yes, but that testing is available to us non-pilots in the form of pilot and historical reports, videos, data, etc.
  24. Welcome to DCS model visiblity. Hopefully it's tuned down a bit in future releases.
  25. I've never seen knots used as a measure of distance. In either case, I don't think anyone would advise it.
