  1. Regarding joystick sensitivity, a deadzone isn't ideal. Using "axis tune" in the controls settings you can flatten the curve around the centre (although maybe that's what you mean).
  2. LNS showing, yet again, why they're best at what they do.
  3. I'm all for doing new and fun things, like this certainly seems to be, but I really hope they construct it in such a way that balance doesn't become an issue. This is a simulator, and should be realistic rather than balanced. The bouts should be symmetrized so that it doesn't matter if one plane is stronger than the other, since you have to use both.
  4. As you can see, one of the LODs is the model of the non-parked aircraft.
  5. Temporary issue, or? Is there anywhere else I can download stuff for reinstallation? Thanks.
  6. Thanks pal.
  7. Haven't played for a few months; still no bort numbers?
  8. Why am I getting spammed by unprompted password reset emails? Four in a few minutes now.
  9. Totally awesome. Love Canada. <3
  10. Try toggling the "Trap" option in TIR.
  11. Well, undo that and check.
  12. Are you overclocked? Too aggressive OC on the CPU caused me crashes a few years ago.
  13. This thread made me dumber.
  14. Hope you enjoy, and stay tuned for more Hawk content.

  15. It's under "Button Cap [...]".
  16. As title. Had a rough touch-and-go, and the nose gear didn't retract properly. However, the "up" light was still lit. This is a bug right? Track attached (damage occurs on second touch-and-go). geardmg.trk
  17. Yeah, I'd like to see too! Will be interesting to see if you manage to compensate for the viewing angle difference.
  18. Okay. Maybe we have a different mentality, then. For me, if I can write a short script and get it to run when I start DCS, which lets me do what I want with the controller mapping, then I won't really mind that all the features I like aren't included in the game. Obviously I'd be for an "Safety operated with switch" option making everything work like the wpns release cap. My point earlier was that it's more important to me that the safety latch on the gear lever is included in the game, than that people like OP who "don't have time to read the manual or anything" (direct quotation) get an easy ride. To reiterate, I see that both could be accomplished by including an option like the above, and that would obviously be the best if LNS had infinite resources. It's just that I'm not panicking at the lack of it. I think it was like you thought at one stage in the closed beta.
  19. Options are great! And there's nothing stopping people from mapping two functions to one key, right? Should be a 2 minute job with an autohotkey script.
  20. Pretty sure that's how it is: if you press wpns release while the cap is closed, it does both.
  21. If you can't raise the gear without first removing the safety in the real plane, you should not be able to do it in DCS. Mapping everything intelligently (adjacent keys, etc.) so that it isn't vastly more complicated in DCS compared to the real aircraft is a later problem, and I don't see why that can't be left to the individual user.
  22. I've never been able to do it either (and I can land pretty smoothly): I either end up taking off again or not keeping the nose up. Seems like a very fine line.
  23. I like that idea, both of the possible cause and, as you say, the obvious test. Would be interesting to take-off, do a lap, land, rearm, repeat. When you've done it 5 times we should know if the drag is erroneously added to that of the previous config. Sadly, I don't have time either.
