You could say the same thing (albeit maybe to a lesser degree) about flying with the keyboard. The question shouldn't really be is it possible to be without, rather would getting one be worth the price. Most would say yes to that last question.

One thing to keep in mind is that you lose the option of the default skin if you install new ones, since the default isn't actually an option in the menu, even when it's the only one available. Fix is probably dead easy, someone know?

1.2.8 is the current version, and since it's out of beta now you can use the updater.

It happens in all camera views. :)

The tracers are from the gun in question (pointing towards the top left corner of the image), and as you can see, the muzzle flare is pointing in completely the wrong direction. This only occurs on the ZU-23 emplacement version, not on the stand-alone or truckborne versions. It's also only apparent on the LoD step shown; if you zoom in or out, the muzzle flares line up correctly again.

Can confirm this bug occurs on my (English) clean 1.2.8 install.

The TIR might drive you bonkers the first 10 hours or so; you should expect some motion sickness and silly motor responses. After a while it will come as completely natural to you though. The brain is awesome.

I compared mine and your graphics.cfg, and you have lowered some of the view distances? E.g., at line 196, I have structures = {40, 20000} while your one is structures = {40, 10000}. Any reason for this? Or are we perhaps using different graphics settings? EDIT: you seem to have raised the LandNight LoDs too.

Do you have any recommended HDR settings for this?
