AAR You say!?!?! I thought that was a block III feature along with the helmet mounted sight Do we know if AAR is to be simulated in the DCS JF-17? The probes are an optional, external attachment type thing I believe, similar to those on the A4 skyhawk

I wouldn't buy it, the 18C is fat enough already for me but I would support its appearance for DCS

From a real pilot's perspective it doesn't matter much. Just step on the ball and you'll have no worries about messing up any muscle memory.

Terrain damage would be pretty nice but I'm guessing that implementing that kind of thing would cause lots of problems. Real time and synchronised modifying of the terrain mesh in multiplayer would probably cause a lot of performance issues for example Maybe one day we can have some kind of voxel based destructable map, that would be really fun

ISA was introduced in 1952. Everyone was using different reference models before that. The reference models I am aware of (ICAN and the USA one) were very close in practice so it probably doesn't matter. The Germans had the same reference atmosphere as the UK and Italy before the war.

Blue always outnumbers Red to the point of unplayability whenever I am on the server. I remember years ago people would swap to the other side if there was a too bad of an unbalance but that gallantry seems to have died away now.

Yeah 9 is higher so it's better but the 109 is 100 more so that's 100 better and that's why P-47 is a downgrade from P-51

It's brilliant, one of the most interesting aircraft in the sim at the moment. It enjoys a few handy advantages over the Sabre at low altitude and the guns are plainly superiour The gyro sight actually works very well too which is nice and satisfying to use at half decent ranges though of course you're better of engaging at very close range. The roll rate suffers very badly at high speed and the engine is more than powerful enough to make the thing fly too fast to control even in level flight which is great fun

New tutorial much better. Keep up the much more moderate, realistic accent. And no artificially hunting for difficult words please, this is a training mission not a cartoon

It does look like a painted casting doesn't it? I think it looks good regardless though, we know it's quite hard to make flat surfaces look good.

Such a shame that there's not more love from the developers for this aircraft. It's my favourite thing to fly in DCS and has been for years. An underrated gem

Are the bolt on CM dispensers we see on MiG-21 or something like them compatible with MiG-23 at all?

Yeah MiG-15 is supposed to burn between 300 and 600 gallons per hour depending on how many beans you're giving it (probably a bit more under DCS conditions) 4000 litres per hour is just over 1000 gallons per hour so about twice as bad as it should be. Maybe belsimtek accidentally gave it a piece of MiG-17 in afterburner code (can only hope)

I read that at one point there were more Mirage 2000s in the French airforce than probes but that seems to have not lasted. Before the module released I thought it would be really cool to remove the probe and have the nice unbroken lines without the damn probe hanging off it but as I've flown it it's become part of the charm for me and I don't think I'd ever take it off.
